It's 10-minute walk from Main St. Station (7 train) but it goes through some warehouses. It's okay at night but I would walk out with friends so you're not alone. Walking there at day time is fine. The courts are very clean and there are some used shuttles available to be used. There's very little space at the back of the courts so it can be hard to defend a corner shot. It can get humid since there's no AC. They do a good job of warming the place during winter. However, it does smell like your grandparent's place in Asia ...what a throwback. The restrooms are pretty old and kind of dirty....it's what you'd expect from an old Chinese place. It's expensive to get to, but it's worth the long commute if you love the sport and enjoy being in Flushing to get some good eats that are only at least 2 blocks away! The furniture at the back is really old and disgusting..just use the wooden benches.

The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a…read moreconsumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. My wife and I had been looking for some form of sport activity around Jersey city and that's how we ran into this Badminton club. They have an online registration form to be filled out for booking a court for full 2 hours with number of players. The more you take with you, the cheaper it will be per person. There's also a WhatsApp group that is pretty active with people asking or updating their availability to play for a certain time slot, calling out the play level - Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. Finding this place was a bit tricky as the entrance is little unassuming and you need to fight out the street parking as they don't have a dedicated one. Luckily we didn't have to go through that as we took the last slot of the day - 9.30-11.30. They check the body temperature before letting you in and you can get to your desired court without a second of waiting. They have four active courts and the facility is part of a school that maintains it pretty well. We even watched a masked up gentleman spraying disinfectants once, along the sitting area. Masks are mandated except for the playing time and they currently don't have walk-ins to reduce the crowd during the pandemic. They provide feathered cocks for a $ if you don't bring your own and provide rackets as rentals for $3. We had a great time and we have certainly found our new go-to place to flex our muscles.

Even though we rented the court prior to the appointment. He called us disrespectful for asking him to get off of OUR reserved court. Keep in note he was a grown man trying to start beef with a 14 year old boy. I don't know how to react to this but I was very uncomfortable in this situation because of all the yelling and screaming he was doing to me. He was a grown man trying to prove his point of us being disrespectful even though he was the one yelling. Thank you for understanding and I hope none of this happens to any of you guys reading this. I just wanted to make my point clear that to that guy who yelled at me and my friend today that he was overreacting and that he should never do that to such a young kid ever again. We simply asked him to get off the court but said that it was his court even though we rented prior. He went on to say I'm going to talk to your mother and started cursing us out. The manager even had to get involved. Think about it how could you do such things to a teenager? They grown men talking so much about the court, even though it wasn't his cause we rented the court prior. This guy is as a shame to Indian culture and I hope that none of the Indian guys grow up to be like this guy. If only they went up to the front desk to ask if that court was theirs, this incident wouldn't have happened. I am very emotionally and physically hurt due to this old Indian man. I hope he never returns and thank you for reading my paragraph. I just wanted to let you know about my experience and how it was terrible.
