It's wild noone has reviewed Crunch yet. I joined from the get-go and split my time between Crunch…read moreand another gym. I'll start off with what I don't like about Crunch: -They don't have disinfectant wipes to clean the machines. They only have paper towels and spray bottles -The locker room is small and the lockers aren't cleaned often enough -The trainers are annoying. Most aren't friendly Now, the reason Crunch gets 5-stars is because it's graded on a curve; they charge $9.99 a month which is ridiculously cheap. They have a lot of benches and dumbbells which is covenant. In general they have most of the machines I like to use and they're good at fixing any machine that breaks. There are a ton of cardio machines. The good thing about the men's locker room is it's mostly clean (minus the lockers, as mentioned). The showers are usually pretty clean and the bathroom area isn't bad for all the traffic they get. Front-desk staff (the non-trainers) range from nice to ignoring you. Not a big deal. The gym-goers are mostly younger people (that makes me sound old) and pretty much everyone is polite. It's seriously amusing seeing when any of them take selfies using their cameras and tripods in the class fitness room. I'm trying to think of what I'm missing... the place isn't bad. The parking lot of often full and I avoid the super busy times but even when the lot is packed I can still get a workout in without much waiting for machines.

Yesterday, I visited the gym and showed a lot of interest in a membership. I mentioned that I…read morewould love to sign up but I was worried about doing so without bringing in my disabled son first to make sure that they accommodate his special needs. I was then directed to speak with Chet, the general manger for this facility. After speaking with him, he proceeded to argue with me over the phone about why it would be impossible for my son to visit first before signing up. This was highly concerning to me as it was a real unknown whether or not my son would do well in their environment. I would heavily caution parents of disabled children from using this facility given what I know now.

Let's talk about the staff first, all of them are absolutely amazing. From the time you walk in until you leave there is always someone there to help you. The managers are always willing to Accommodate any needs that you may have they are top notch. Now let's talk about the trainers. I was bless to get to workout with rich. this pure gentleman was everything you could ever want in a personal trainer. He knew his job down to the smallest detail. Plus he cares about his club and clients. I'm no rookie In the gym (20 years ) and I learn so much. It was humbling And rewarding. The lesson I'm leaving with I will definitely use in the future Let's please don't forget they have a boxing gym level red. Absolutely phenomenal classes and instructors. ( Jessica, Jon ) Listen if you aren't visiting or try out this gym you're doing yourself a great disservice. The only negative they I can say is, I didn't get to spend more time there Joseph

I wasn't going to write a review, but changed my mind. I usually take the "I'll be the bigger…read moreperson approach" but decided that I don't care. I got a new job and didn't have 30 days to give to cancel my membership, which ok I signed a contract. I am moving to a location where another level red is close by. I asked if I could just transfer my membership because I enjoy boxing and I initially had a good experience until I realized it is just about money for them. I was told that "gyms are more expensive " where I will be living so I will have to cancel and re sign up at a more inflated price when I already had a membership and they obviously just wanted more money. I'm glad it's about the money because I will never recommend this place to anyone. I have also honestly never had worse customer service and no one even tried to assist me. They basically had a too bad approach and very poor people skills. They want their money and I want people to know how they handle their business.

As for those without any experience, don't fret, the staff will guide you through the whole process and get you climbing in no time. In partnership with the EDDC, we are located in the heart of downtown Erie at 5th and State, meaning close proximity to all of the Erie-based universities: Gannon, Mercyhurst, and Penn State Behrend. This location is part of an extensive downtown revitalization project that the Erie community is incredibly excited for. Additionally, there had been an independent group, ClimbERIE, working on opening a gym for many years now. As a prominent Erie climbing community voice, they were stoked to learn of our plans and are eager to assist in ASCEND's efforts. We are grateful to have the ClimbERIE team on our side, keeping the climbers of Erie in the forefront of everything we do. This is not just another gym to add to a list, this will be a place for a whole community of people, old and young, new and experienced, to gather, train, coexist, and to call home.

I recently visited Mission Meadows for a quilt retreat. This review is specifically about the…read moregrounds, facilities, and staff, not about the retreat which was organized by a private group. The camp is beautiful. It's located directly in Chautauqua Lake. They have cabins with bunk beds and bathrooms, a few large buildings for big gatherings, including a dining hall with a full kitchen. There is also an activities building with a beautiful pool and hot tub. All of my experiences with the staff were exceptional. I have some dietary restrictions and the cook who prepared our meals was extremely accommodating and checked in on me throughout the weekend to make sure I was getting what I needed. The director and all other staff members were extremely kind and accommodating. They seem to run their own camp in the summer months, but also seem to rent out the camp for different events during the off season. My retreat was in March. March in WNY is not always the warmest, and all the accommodations were great. I never felt too cold or anything. Definitely consider camp mission meadows if you have any need for a group destination, overnight or not.

What I love about Mission meadows, besides the beautiful view, the amazing chapel, and the above average camp food, is the mentality behind the camp. I have been a speaker here twice and have two more events booked in the next year. I love to come here because they are not a camp just for church kids. The camp is one of the most diverse camps I have visited, and the permanent and yearly staff love on the kids from ALL walks of life. The staff themselves are great people and I enjoyed getting to know them and working with them the last few years, Having stayed once in the regular cabins, I hate the mattresses, but everything else is nice and comfortable. One of their features is an indoor pool, rock wall, and gym that are available in the winter to rent out for the weekend, day, or afternoon when they are not being used for regular camp activities. If you have a chance, stop by and walk the grounds of the beautiful Mission Meadows.
