This wonderfully expressive shop in West London is full of furniture and other home antiques that have all hand picked by Paul and his team of aesthetically appreciative little helpers. It's certainly very expressive of his individual taste and even the huge flower print wallpaper is characteristically charming. Some of the items are in their original state, with just a touch of refurb conservation given to spruce them up, whilst others have been upholstered with his own fabrics to give them a modern and very attractive new lease of life. There are also some quirky paintings hanging on the walls and my particular favourite, the mirrors, are something really special. Everything is a one off find so whatever you buy is guaranteed to add a talking point to your home. It's a very modern and sleek take on the olde worlde curiostity shop, so you end up 'oooooohing' and 'ahhhhhhhing' your way around, imagining how great THAT beautiful French rosewood chest-of-draws would look in your house. Unfortunately I've had to keep the land of Paul's furniture in the fantasy dolls house of my mind, as you can imagine, it's all relatively expensive reflecting the pieces unique appeal. So you must be careful not to walk out with a bunch of cute, yet useless stuff. This particular location is always packed on the weekends and the physical space it occupies can feel extremely cramped and claustrophobic. If they had a slightly larger space, I'd give them a 4 instead of a 3.

Luckily for me I ended up in Clapham that weekend and popped into this branch! They had the perfect size and I now have a brilliant sexy blue dress with a pretty blue bow at the back. Only £45 quid too. All of the clothes are lovely here. Especially the dresses. Some of them are very expensive, but that just gives you a nice surprise when you find a bargain. The lady who served me was lovely. This branch isn't nearly as pretty as the Greenwich branch, but the clothes are still great. It's more relaxed. The staff in the Greenwich branch never talk to me but I had a nice chat with the lady serving me. Unfortunately, I was having such a nice chat with the lady serving me, that she didn't take the tag off the dress. So I've paid for it, and I somehow left the shop, but now I have to call them and explain why I have a dress with a tag and proof of purchase. I'm a bit confused about how I didn't get arrested Still, I could do with a new coat so I'll have a bit of a look around while I'm back there. Hopefully they'll take the tag off that. That is the reason why I already spotted the Sweaty Betty shop, nicely placed on Fulham road, there is a range of sports clothing for the fit, toned young woman - trying to make an effort! There are two reasons why I am not their ideal customer: First, I am not a fan of pink - this colour does not exist in my wardrobe, secondly is it really worth spending over £60 for a pair of track suit? Maybe after completing my legs, bum and tum class I want to show off in some well fitted shorts this summer...

I would say this is a great place for fancy dress, but for everyday items, I don't think it is up to scratch.
