I've heard so many good things about Fitwall and I had to try it for myself. They offer a free trial class so I visited this place on a weekday at 12pm. The class was full and the energy was great. You have your own wall and station with your name displayed on a screen above your wall. This is a 40 minute workout and consists of a series of exercises and each exercise is shown on your screen as well as on a main screen. Cold towels are provided at the end of class. All in all a good mix of weights and cardio. You don't spend much one on the wall which is a shame. A few designated parking spots are available in the parking lot. However you can park in the parking structure and have your ticket validated. read more

It takes a REALLY special place for me to skip happy hour on a Friday and workout instead. FitWall is that kind of place. The cardio-based class at 5:30pm on Fridays is the perfect transition from work week to weekend. The workout is energizing. But the coaches really make it FUN! I used to be a member here same time last year, and ended up going to another studio since my coworkers went there. I went back to this fitness class today and really missed & appreciated the small class setting. You're able to get that private class one-on-one instruction throughout the session. Our instructor Travis provided really helpful tips during the workouts & I HAVE to say - I felt like I've been working out with the wrong form, especially when it came to working my core vs. potentially injuring my back. I had a baby about 6 months ago and when my son was 5 months I still hadn't dropped any of the baby fat and I was getting uncomfortable and just felt extremely unhealthy so decided to give Fitwall a go . I went on the 4 week challenge and I would have to say this finally did the trick! I worked out 3Xs a week and followed their nutrition guide And dropped about 10lbs and 5% body fat and feel amazing!! I love it because it's a quick 40 mins and I still have enough time in my busy work and mommy schedule to fit it in right before I pickup my son from the nursery. I am so, so, so in love with Fitwall! I've been working out pretty regularly for over a year and a half now and have done everything from muay thai to pilates to personal training and decided to switch up my gym routine 3 months ago by trying Fitwall out. The pros for me were that the location was close to work (it's right by Fashion Island), and it was a group class that allowed me to follow a set of instructions, and the workouts change every month so you'll always be challenging your body in different ways. All the coaches here are absolutely fantastic and super friendly - they will make you feel right at home and will be patient with you even if you are a noob. You can book your wall online and it's super easy. You walk in, attach the peanut (your heart rate monitor) to your heart rate strap, and get going! There's coconut shots and eucalyptus towels at the end for you as well. I've seen great results and feel stronger, better, healthier, and faster all because of Fitwall. Bonus points: first class free, you can also do an unlimited trial test drive for 2 weeks for $60. After that, you can either do a monthly plan or prepaid plan, or punch card plan. read more

Found this on Yelp while traveling and looking for a gym nearby to take a class in. They were so welcoming when I came in and gave me the rundown of the whole process. I work out a lot and do tons of different types of classes, but def needed the tutorial. Despite the fact that I was a traveler and not going to sign up for a membership, they were still very nice and welcoming. For a newbie, I'd call this a HIIT class with great strength training included in a unique way using the "wall" which is the device or station that you use for your workout. It's basically a mini gym in one that you use for yourself during the workout. There are still plenty of body weight exercises and some TRX mixed in. It was a good workout, I will probably be sore tomorrow, so that's a good thing. I don't think you actually lift weights in there, so for me personally it would not be my only form of training, because I like weights, but if you aren't into weights this could be a standalone thing for you. I think everyone in the class was female. Just an observation. The herbal cold towels and post workout coconut water was pretty awesome. read more

My co-worker invited me to workout with her at Fitwall after work. We went to the 5:30 class 7/13. The trainers Josh and Eric made sure I knew I could go at my own pace. They also took some time to explain some moves I would be doing during the workout before it started. You definitely want to get here at least 10 minutes early if it's your first time. In my experience, the 5:30 class is always pretty full, but not so much that they run out of stations. They have showers! And full size towels. I signed up soon after my first class because I could tell the workout "shocked" my body! I was already doing steady workouts every day of mountain biking, running, and hiking 4 days out of the week. But this was a really different and effective whole body workout. Oh... hello calves! My legs are getting some definition! Also, it's pretty neat logging into the website and seeing my heart rate monitor activity on the site. I've met most of the other trainers since that first day, and they are all awesome. I had a great experience doing the 4 week challenge. I lost 6lbs and 3.8% body fat. The classes are only 40 minutes long, but are extremely effective, especially the exercises on the wall, which makes something as simple as a squat 5x harder. All the coaches are very encouraging and push you to work hard and reach your fitness goals. The cold minty towels after each class is such a welcome touch too. The challenge includes a no fat, low carb diet plan. This was the first time I did such a diet and it was quite hard the first week, but by the second week I felt pretty adjusted. I definitely feel this diet was a game changer for me, as other diets I have tried (paleo, calorie counting) were not nearly as effective. This gym is very different than anything I have tried. The equipment and exercise is definitely new and fun but it's the people that make all the difference! I don't feel like just another member here, these trainers REALLY care about my fitness goals. It's so refreshing to not be intimidated by some of the young and more fit members that are in the classes. There are people that are older and less fit than I am and the trainers help all of us no matter where we are in our fitness life. I'm never made to feel like I don't belong. This place IS different. It doesn't get any easier than this! I have been a member of 24 hour fitness for years and also play local team sports, but nothing has given me the solid consistency in fitness that Fitwall has. I love how easy it is to sign up for classes and that the system actually will charge you a fee for not showing up (nothing like money to hold you accountable!). I can't get enough of Fitwall! It's like having a personal trainer, but cheaper. Of all the specialty gyms I've tried out, this is the only one that I think is worth the cost. There is so much value in it. Every day brings something different and I absolutely love the "mobility" day on Sundays. All the trainers and staff are super nice and welcoming. They are very aware of any injury I've mentioned and are always checking in with me and offering modifications. They actually pay attention to everyone's form and correct when necessary, which a lot of other gyms don't do. I can tell that the coaches are knowledgable and enjoy what they do. I just completed the 30 day fat loss challenge and succeed in the goal! The workout at first glance seemed brutally hard but after a few sessions I quickly realized that everything can be modified so that it is attainable for all fitness levels and the coaches take notice of your levels and help you modify. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and I never felt judged for my fitness level. The first week was particularly hard because I hadn't worked out in a long time. I was so sore that first week but as the time went on I could feel my body getting stronger and the workouts getting easier. You just have to stick with it. The coaches push you and give great instruction and advice as the workout is going on. Special shout out to Alex, travis, and Danika. The class is only 45 min, they play great music to go along with the sets, and at the end they give you an ice cold wash cloth infused with essential oil at the end. So worth it. Fitwall is terrific. As an Executive, I had not participated in a gym or workout class in decades. My wife has been a member of Fitwall for over 4 years.I decided to join in March and in a short time have discovered how much fun working out can be. The Fitwall team of instructors are terrific and always provide helpful guidance and positive reinforcement. Very motivating environment. The 40 minute sessions promote flexibility, aerobics and strength in an effective and fun manner. My results have been terrific, lost an inch on my waist, my stamina and flexibility are improved...great for my golf game. I needed something to kick start me after fracturing my ankle and I found it here. They were able to provide alternative workouts until my ankle was stronger. Fitwall is an ass kicking workout. Trainers are fun and the class leave me feeling like I had a great workout. I actually looked forward to going to the gym.
