    Seafood Pasta

We were able to get a last minute reservation. Food and service was amazing! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had drinks outside on the patio first which was perfect! Then inside for dinner. Would definitely recommend if you're in Doolin.

We stopped in the pub on September 10 for a late lunch. I'd read an article about great restaurants in Doolin. When we got to Doolin, there was only one place open. So, we went to Fitz's Pub. We walked in and there were many open tables but they all had dirty dishes on them. I asked if we could get a table for two and the young girl told me that it would be about ten minutes. So, we literally just stood around and tried to stay out of people's way. Then some time later another employee asked me what I needed, I told her a table for two. I asked if we could have the cute little table nestled in the corner. She told me that she was seating someone else there (someone who just walked in). So, I asked if we could have the table closest to the bar as there was only a small amount of dirty dishes on it. She allowed us to take that table and someone came and cleaned it. All in, we probably stood around awkwardly for 20 minutes. We sat down and the server seemed irritated. We had already ordered our drinks at the bar so we just ordered two seafood chowders. The chowders were not bad, not great. Mine had a mussel with a broken shell and a mussel with a clamped closed shell. Couldn't eat those. The pints were good. I'm giving three stars, that being said, it wasn't a good experience.

I was so pleased with pub food from this spot! I really loved the curry chicken sandwich! It was incredibly flavorful and came with a decent serving of fries and salad! It was extremely reasonably priced! Great service! Great ambience!

This spot is the true definition of why we should be permitted to utilize half stars. It's right in between and three and a four. We hit Fitz's Pub while on a tour to the Cliffs of Moher, and it's closely tied to the tour. Seems the place was reserved for us, which worked out well since the bus filled the restaurant. The bar is pretty expansive with lots of options. The lunch menu was a bit limited as we were on a time limit (1 hour) so we opted for the wings and the fish and chips. The wings came with a very flavorful sauce, not too spicy not too bland. The fish and chips were fine; the chips were very crispy but the fish as delicious. The service was quick and attentive, they knew we were on a time limit and handled the big crowd really well.

The food was good expedient and very good quality. The vichyssoise was delicious, it came with some nice brown bread. The croquettes were good, but nothing special, I'd skip next time. My husband had the fish and chips with us a bit different because they came with patatas bravas versus plain chips. Fish was good but could have used some salt, and they sat it atop the tartar sauce so the bottom batter got a bit soggy. The staff was lovely, as was the pub and village. Overall a great experience.

Quick pop in for a whisky drink and to rest our weary travelers legs. Irish hospitality runs rampant and service does not disappoint. Like most/many/if not all venues, warm and welcoming. Priced accordingly and not parking except in pay lot.

    Fish & Chips menu description

We got the fish and chips (fresh cod in dooliner beer),just delightful. The cod was buttery and delicious, and the breading was light and crispy with a great flavor. The sauces and sides were literally made for me, the tartar sauce was a perfect pairing for the fish and I am obsessed with the curry sauce. It was a light turmeric taste, I ended up dipping my chips in it! The burger also came highly recommended but we didn't try it this time around. Beef in Ireland is absolutely top notch, so I am not surprised it is a popular menu item! The pub itself is cozy, we were seated by the stove. A perfect ambiance for a drizzly, overcast day.

Potato leek soup - so delicious and amooth

We got here shortly after they opened for dinner and there was plenty of open seating, however they filled up very quickly. There are tables by the bar and then more in the dining room which is where we sat. The bar seats appear to be first come first serve whereas the dinning room you need to wait to be seated. The menu is slightly different from that on the website, but not by much. We ordered the seafood tower, the charcuterie and cheese sharing plates, and shared the potato and leek soup. All of the portions were large and we were provided with 4 thick slices of brown bread and Irish butter. The soup was very creamy and had an actual leek flavor that shined through. The bread was very tender and crumbly with a slightly sweet flavor. I won't go through the items on the tower and board as they are listed on the menu. I will say I was surprised that the muscles were not warm at all. I guess I can say there were 3 oysters, a bowl of muscles, maybe 10 crab claws, a large amount of smoked salmon, and the rest of itAlso, don't expect melted butter or cocktail sauce or anything of the short. Just lots of lemon - which was great! I'm not really a fan of raw oysters, but I will say these tasted very fresh and almost like they had fresh salt water with them; and the shallots with vinaigrette were so flavorful. Not sure if they have hot sauce, that would have been nice. I also never had mackerel before and that was by far my favorite. It was so smoky and firm but tender. For the charcuterie and cheese board, it comes with grilled bread and I would say the blue cheese was the best! It's not strong, very mild and I usually am not a big fan - but this was very smooth. Other than that the rest of it was pretty standard. The prices were very fair for the quality and portions. I also saw the food at the table next to us which looked great! The hale entree looked amazing and the mussel entree also came with a large number of muscles.

We were on a tour and decided to get the very prized smoked salmon and crab here. It did not disappoint and was absolutely amazing. All of the sides were great as well. The service was great and it was a nice little spot here in Doolin. Will go again.

These wings right here had us eating here two days in a row. Absolutely delicious! Chefs kiss

The food, service and ambiance are top notch. We ate dinner here both days we were in Doolin the food is that good. We had the burger, steak , wings and can't forget dessert.

    Duck confit

Tasty food - the seafood chowder was amazing and the starters, especially the pasta dish, are huge and should be considered a main. Duck confit was also good and worth ordering. They also have their own in-house beer, the "Dooliner" (an Irish red) that's worth checking out.

After our tour of the Cliffs of Mohr, we were wet and hungry and ready for lunch. Our tour guide brought us here to Fitzpatrick's. This is a lovely place situated right on a major crossroads. The restaurant is set up to handle large crowds efficiently. Our food was very good with the Seafood Chowder and the Vegetable Soup standouts for freshness and flavor. It's a shame it was raining all day, I would gladly have explored around the area a little, but, weather and the time constraint was against me.

I liked the Dooliner Ale much better than the other popular Irish brew.

If you're looking for a true Irish pub experience in Doolin, this is it…read more It's a typical, unassuming pub that fills up quickly with both locals and tourists, creating that perfect lively Irish atmosphere. The service was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The fish and chips? Hands down the BEST I've ever had -- perfectly crisp on the outside, flaky and tender inside. And the seafood chowder was beyond words. Rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood. Of course, the beer was fresh and delicious, just as it should be. An awesome, cozy spot that delivers on everything you hope for in a great Irish pub. We'll be back.

A true Irish Pub experience, bravo!…read more Our tour guide/ bus driver chose this location for us and gloated on how they have the best fish and chips in all Ireland here, as you can expect I was pretty eager to get on and try them. The fish and chips did not disappoint and the portion size was very generous. If I had to pick a flaw I suppose I would mention the size of the container of the tartar sauce that comes with the meal is very small, about three smears worth. Also, omg, look at the chips! Those are some unique shaped chips, at first I thought they were potato chips that were fried but no, they were French fries that looked like a potato chip. We stopped here after visiting the cliffs of Moher, the restaurant is located in Doolin County, which I believe has a cave you can visit if you want to get some more adventures in after a great meal at a terrific authentic Irish Pub. As always people SYOY!!!
