Lovely spot for a pint and fish and chips. Stopped on the way to the cliffs, and everything was spot on. Service was great, cozy little pub atmosphere to get away from the rain. Would definitely return!
The seafood Chowder and seafood platter were excellent. The cheese platter was pretty scant for $14 euros. The service was not attentive and not super friendly. Ambiance is good. I wish the music started earlier. It is very pricey. It's an upscale pub. It doesn't feel like a traditional Irish pub.
We stopped in the pub on September 10 for a late lunch. I'd read an article about great restaurants in Doolin. When we got to Doolin, there was only one place open. So, we went to Fitz's Pub. We walked in and there were many open tables but they all had dirty dishes on them. I asked if we could get a table for two and the young girl told me that it would be about ten minutes. So, we literally just stood around and tried to stay out of people's way. Then some time later another employee asked me what I needed, I told her a table for two. I asked if we could have the cute little table nestled in the corner. She told me that she was seating someone else there (someone who just walked in). So, I asked if we could have the table closest to the bar as there was only a small amount of dirty dishes on it. She allowed us to take that table and someone came and cleaned it. All in, we probably stood around awkwardly for 20 minutes. We sat down and the server seemed irritated. We had already ordered our drinks at the bar so we just ordered two seafood chowders. The chowders were not bad, not great. Mine had a mussel with a broken shell and a mussel with a clamped closed shell. Couldn't eat those. The pints were good. I'm giving three stars, that being said, it wasn't a good experience.
I was so pleased with pub food from this spot! I really loved the curry chicken sandwich! It was incredibly flavorful and came with a decent serving of fries and salad! It was extremely reasonably priced! Great service! Great ambience!

We hit Fitz's Pub while on a tour to the Cliffs of Moher, and it's closely tied to the tour. Seems the place was reserved for us, which worked out well since the bus filled the restaurant. The bar is pretty expansive with lots of options. The lunch menu was a bit limited as we were on a time limit (1 hour) so we opted for the wings and the fish and chips. The wings came with a very flavorful sauce, not too spicy not too bland. The fish and chips were fine; the chips were very crispy but the fish as delicious. The service was quick and attentive, they knew we were on a time limit and handled the big crowd really well.

My husband had the fish and chips with us a bit different because they came with patatas bravas versus plain chips. Fish was good but could have used some salt, and they sat it atop the tartar sauce so the bottom batter got a bit soggy. The staff was lovely, as was the pub and village. Overall a great experience.
Quick pop in for a whisky drink and to rest our weary travelers legs. Irish hospitality runs rampant and service does not disappoint. Like most/many/if not all venues, warm and welcoming. Priced accordingly and not parking except in pay lot.
We got the fish and chips (fresh cod in dooliner beer),just delightful. The cod was buttery and delicious, and the breading was light and crispy with a great flavor. The sauces and sides were literally made for me, the tartar sauce was a perfect pairing for the fish and I am obsessed with the curry sauce. It was a light turmeric taste, I ended up dipping my chips in it! The burger also came highly recommended but we didn't try it this time around. Beef in Ireland is absolutely top notch, so I am not surprised it is a popular menu item! The pub itself is cozy, we were seated by the stove. A perfect ambiance for a drizzly, overcast day.
We got here shortly after they opened for dinner and there was plenty of open seating, however they filled up very quickly. There are tables by the bar and then more in the dining room which is where we sat. The bar seats appear to be first come first serve whereas the dinning room you need to wait to be seated. The menu is slightly different from that on the website, but not by much. We ordered the seafood tower, the charcuterie and cheese sharing plates, and shared the potato and leek soup. All of the portions were large and we were provided with 4 thick slices of brown bread and Irish butter. The soup was very creamy and had an actual leek flavor that shined through. The bread was very tender and crumbly with a slightly sweet flavor. I won't go through the items on the tower and board as they are listed on the menu. I will say I was surprised that the muscles were not warm at all. I guess I can say there were 3 oysters, a bowl of muscles, maybe 10 crab claws, a large amount of smoked salmon, and the rest of itAlso, don't expect melted butter or cocktail sauce or anything of the short. Just lots of lemon - which was great! I'm not really a fan of raw oysters, but I will say these tasted very fresh and almost like they had fresh salt water with them; and the shallots with vinaigrette were so flavorful. Not sure if they have hot sauce, that would have been nice. I also never had mackerel before and that was by far my favorite. It was so smoky and firm but tender. For the charcuterie and cheese board, it comes with grilled bread and I would say the blue cheese was the best! It's not strong, very mild and I usually am not a big fan - but this was very smooth. Other than that the rest of it was pretty standard. The prices were very fair for the quality and portions. I also saw the food at the table next to us which looked great! The hale entree looked amazing and the mussel entree also came with a large number of muscles.
We were on a tour and decided to get the very prized smoked salmon and crab here. It did not disappoint and was absolutely amazing. All of the sides were great as well. The service was great and it was a nice little spot here in Doolin. Will go again.
We had a great meal and superb engagement from Kieran at this establishment. We really enjoyed the food and his overall service. Our meals consisted of the usual fare, Fish & Chips, as well as beef burgers. Both were excellent, good volume of food, great taste. This was a busy time, many people in the restaurant, place was buzzing, great vibe. Kieran was on his A Game. Kept us well stocked with good and beverage. Thank you. Food- 9/10 Drinks-7/10 Service- 6/10 Ambiance-7/10 Overall experience-7.5/10 we stopped here after cliffs of moher. it was a cute little town and good food when it came to seafood. my bf go the clams which came in a huge pot which was just the starter and oysters which seemed to be pretty fresh as well- caught that morning or day before. I got the seafood soup which was flavorful and warming. the service was slow but they were feeding an entire tour bus. my bf didn't get his beer until 40 min into the meal. read more

We were able to get a last minute reservation. Food and service was amazing! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had drinks outside on the patio first which was perfect! Then inside for dinner. Would definitely recommend if you're in Doolin. read more

We were on a tour and decided to get the very prized smoked salmon and crab here. It did not disappoint and was absolutely amazing. All of the sides were great as well. The service was great and it was a nice little spot here in Doolin. Will go again. read more

Tasty food - the seafood chowder was amazing and the starters, especially the pasta dish, are huge and should be considered a main. Duck confit was also good and worth ordering. They also have their own in-house beer, the "Dooliner" (an Irish red) that's worth checking out. read more

After our tour of the Cliffs of Mohr, we were wet and hungry and ready for lunch. Our tour guide brought us here to Fitzpatrick's. This is a lovely place situated right on a major crossroads. The restaurant is set up to handle large crowds efficiently. Our food was very good with the Seafood Chowder and the Vegetable Soup standouts for freshness and flavor. It's a shame it was raining all day, I would gladly have explored around the area a little, but, weather and the time constraint was against me. read more

Came here during a bus tour. The lunch menu was well priced for our group, and the food was alright. I loved the local brew and would highly recommend it to anyone else who wasn't impressed by the other popular brew you see everywhere. read more
Stopped here off of our tour bus, which all the tour buses stop here so it gets really crowded. Prices were decent however it felt more like cafeteria food and not restaurant quality food. It's cafeteria style where you stand in a line to say what you want and they put it on a plate and hand it to you. Tasted a little like pre packaged food heated up. Really enjoyed the food here, which surprised me because it's the most "Americanized" of the 4 Irish pubs in Doolin. There are two separate areas to eat at Fitzpatrick's, the main bar area where the entertainment is set up, and then another separate dining room that is designed as a country barn. The dining room option is preferable for larger groups and families. Although the bar dining is closer to the music, it's definitely cramped and the service is limited. The BURGER. Shocked by how good it was. The best in Doolin for sure. It was cooked medium (they won't cook it any other way) with bacon, it was EXCELLENT. The chips served with it were excellent as well. We started with some crab legs, which were tasty (though small) and came in a wonderful buttery seafood sauce with a light summer salad. I tried a bit of my brother-in-law's seafood chowder and thought it was good, not great. Try the house "craft" beer. It's not very hoppy, but it offers a nice malty finish that isn't as heavy as Guinness. Also stay for the music. There are some remarkable names coming through this pub, including the likes of Siobhán Peoples and Blackie O'Connell. Check the schedule in the summer and you won't be disappointed. If you want more of the smaller, local, Irish feel though - there are better options in town. For comfort of seating, this might be your best bet read more

This pub is attached to Hotel Doolin. It has quaint traditional Irishness all over it which I'm sure the tourists love as bus loads of them arrive a few times a day it seems. The staff are friendly and attentive. I must of been asked about 4 times during my meal if everything was ok. I went for the seafood chowder and the giant pot of mussels. It was all really tasty. My only regret is not trying the recommended Trawler which I hear is fab. There's plenty of trad music to get you going too. All in all if you like the whole Irish traditional clichéd experience, you'll love this ;) read more
Food here is surprisingly delicious. You must cue up and order your food, cafeteria style, then pay at the register where you can order your pint of Guinness or Bulmers. They accept credit cards but the minimum purchase is €10. I ordered the baked salmon that came with mashed potatoes, cabbage, and carrots. Filling meal indeed. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Not dry or overcooked. This was where my Irish Day Tours: Cliffs of Moher bus driver dropped us for lunch and I'm glad he did! Side note: you'll be able to access Hotel Doolin's free wifi! read more
After our paddy wagon tour to the cliffs of moher, our tour guide brought us to this little town to eat lunch because he swears by it, and it IS good! I think both of our entrees were between 12-14 or so euros, but they give generously with their sides, and their sides are good! We ordered 3 dishes: roasted lamb leg, Atlantic salmon, and seafood chowder. The seafood chowder was only okay. It wasn't as thick as you might expect a chowder to be, and besides chunks of salmon, I don't think I found many other seafood ingredients....it was also on the salty side. Our two entrees were delicious in flavor, texture, mouthfeel, just all around goodness!! Husband got salmon with brown gravy, I got the lamb leg with white gravy. It's just all good. Flavors are awesome. Both meats had their original lamb and salmon flavors, sides were fresh and flavorful. The mixed greens and carrots were so good! The carrots were so sweet and they had these white carrots too! The mixed greens contained a green that had a hint of bigger flavor but that also made it good and taste fresh. I ate my veggies sides with some mashed potatoes and those flavors all mixed together were also super good. If you're in the area, definitely eat here!! read more

This is a standard stop for anyone going on the Paddywagon day tour of the Cliffs of Moher. Diner style lunch options. Standard fare, and tasty without being memorable. We had the salmon, the veggie soup, and the seafood stew. The salmon was perfectly cooked, the veggie soup forgettable, and the seafood stew good and filled with a fair balance of fish and root vegetables. Friendly and fast service, and has adequate electrical cords to charge up your phone for the next portion of the journey. read more

This was the third place I ate during my trip to Ireland and I must say, compared to the other two it was lacking in flavor. I ordered the lobster meal, which came with chips and a salad. The lobster was cooked well and came with a butter dipping sauce. The chips that were served with it were pretty standard and could have been better. Half of the plate was taken up by the salad that accompanied the lobster, but sadly it had hardly any flavor to it. I ended the meal with a dessert that I cannot begin to try and remember how to spell but I uploaded a picture of it. The dessert was by far the star of the show. If I had to choose again I would most likely not eat here again. read more

We stopped here during a tour to the Cliffs of Moher and were not disappointed. My husband really wanted to try the seafood chowder but he gets motion sick and it was too risky with all the crazy Irish roads on a tour bus. However, he got the cottage pie and basically licked the plate clean. I got the Irish beef which was a little tough, but the savory juice was excellent. All in all, this was a good bit of food for the price (about $14 each) and such a great Irish atmosphere being close to the cliffs. Would recommend! read more
