Pretty decent Five Guys location located just a block away from the Noma metro station. It's not the best Five Guys I've been to, but the food was tasty and filling enough. I ordered the small hamburger and a small order of fries (though I wouldn't call the fries small - they were very big chunky pieces of fries). Had to check out Five Guys since there's so much hype around here about it. I definitely wasn't disappointed though, pretty good burgers! I like that you get to choose your toppings and that they're unlimited. The "small" fries is anything but, however, they were really good and you could tell that they weren't pre-frozen. They also list where the potatoes came from which is cool. The single burger was the perfect size and really tasty so I will definitely come again. i don't understand the hype...yes, i came from the west coast so i had in-n-out in the vicinity. my friends and i decided to try this "east coast in-n-out." while yes, the burgers were filling (2 patties) and i loaded it with as much toppings as possible to get my moneys worth, it still didn't compare to my beloved animal style double-double. i've read the rave reviews on their cajun fries, and while they DO give you way too much (we really could have shared a regular fries amongst the 3 of us), they were soggy and didn't whet my appetite like in-n-outs fries (well-done, of course). i guess it's worth trying...once. read more

This is not my favorite Five Guys location, but it's the one I usually go to since it's so close to my apartment. The food is still pretty good, although the fries are sometimes a touch undercooked and soggy - the burgers are great though, which is the most important part. My one big complaint is that every time I come in the music is incredibly loud. If you are eating in, the music is so loud that it's difficult to carry on a conversation, but thankfully the staff seem to be accomodating and turn the volume down if you ask directly. read more

Solid Five Guys. This is a great spot for a burger and fries. Free peanuts while you wait. This location has an interesting mix of ATF/DEA agent types, Gallaudet students and office people. Location is right outside the Noma metro stop. Parking used to be right on the street outside but not anymore. To add my two cents to the burger debate, In and Out isn't even in the same league, they might not even be as good as McDonald's. In and Out pretty much sucks their fries are garbage and the burgers are nothing special. If you want to be real the only conversation worth having involves Shake Shack and Five Guys, all others aren't even in the same league. read more

This was my first time at any Five Guys even though we have them locally. The burger is fully customized and amazing! The bag was filled with fries and it was a little difficult getting the burger out but it was worth it. Next time I'll try a shake too. read more

Five guys has always been a go to for our family but I was so impressed by the people that served us tonight. We came in as a group of 50+ and the 3 gentleman and young lady were so nice, didn't bat an eye at our large group. They quickly took our order and began cooking. There were a couple mix ups which is to be expected in a large group order but the cooks were lighting fast and EFFICIENT. Large home-style burgers (low seasoning, taste and feel like the cook hand-patted them together). Lots of options for sides...no extra charge. The oil was fresh. Lots of fries: one large can serve 3 or 4 people. PEANUT ALLERGY? Then, stay away. Otherwise, a good place to visit when you want a large home-style burger. read more

A little cheeseburger took over 15 min to make. The burger was over cooked and cold. I stood there and watched the guy make it. He left the burger sitting at the pass. This the worst 5 guys ever. Don't go to the this one. I went a couple of weeks ago and ordered a hotdog. Normally, their hot dogs are crispy and delicious. This one was undercooked. The bread was soggy. I cooked it myself, and I wrote a complaint to get no response. I went yesterday with my friend and figured a burger and fries would be better, since that's their title, no. They ran out of burger buns and offered us hotdog buns. When we got the food, there were no buns at all. I had to eat my burger with a fork. I ordered cajun fries and they didn't season them at all, not even salt, so I had to season them myself at home. The cooks can't cook. There is clearly no management, since they don't have enough burger buns in a burger joint. This is a disgrace to 5 guys. Now, I will have to go to Chinatown. read more

Latish visit after a long day sight seeing. First visit to this type of place and yet to experience an In/Out burger. I got the bacon cheese. Nice fresh bun and hamburger, yes the fries are plentiful, as were the local "entertainment". The taste of the bacon was unusual, it seemed to have a strong fat flavour, which over powered the burger. A group of kids fighting outside the place, the arrival of police and subsequent chase and arrest proved an additional highlight (not). It did make the place a little less safe. read more
