I am writing this for her and for the other residents still there who can't speak for themselves. This facility does not provide basic care unless family is there every day fussing to make them do it. My mother was not bathed regularly or have her teeth brushed. When we would call and ask her during the week if she had a bath, she would say no. My family had to sit there until they finally gave her a bath and we believe the shower log was falsified. I had to give my own mother a bath myself. Rooms are not kept clean or safe. My mother's bed was broken for about 2 months and was never replaced - I have video of her laying in it. Trash was overflowing onto the floor. Food that family brought would sit on her small dresser until gnats and mold were growing on it. I have video of a pillow wrapped in a plastic bag with feces on it laying near the front door of her room and I was looking for the pillow because it was the one my Mama used to sit on they pretend they couldn't find it. Residents are kept parked in the front lobby area by the nurses station even if they don't want to be up there so staff don't have to go to their rooms to check on them. My mother told me many times she was tired and wanted to be in her room but they made her stay in the lobby. Personal belongings constantly came up missing. My mother's cellphone came up missing twice - once it mysteriously appeared under her bed a week later, another time it was found in another patient's room. Her perfume, body spray, and house shoes also disappeared with no explanation. I have voice audio of my mother saying she believed they were taking her phone because they didn't want her telling us they weren't doing their job. I also have a voicemail of her saying how much she hated this place because she wasn't being treated right. We asked to place a camera on our mother's side of the room for her safety. The supervisor kept procrastinating and kept saying they were waiting on her roommate's family to comply with the request. It never happened. I believe they stalled because they didn't want us to witness what was and was not being done. Most times I visited, workers were sitting at the nurses station on their personal phones or in the open area in the corner where the books are by the ice cooler watching movies on their phones, not doing their job. When you asked for help, they would catch an attitude. I watched a janitorial worker sit next to his cart in the lounge area for a long period of time doing nothing while rooms were dirty. Her roommate had a horrible smell from not being taken care of and I was worried about her too. It takes a special person to work in a facility like this with compassion and love for people. They should not hire people who are just there to get a paycheck. Not all workers are bad - there were a few who were very helpful - but the bad ones are reflecting on everyone else and the whole culture needs to be fixed. The DON needs to go around and check to make sure workers are actually doing their job. Maybe they need cameras to see what is really happening. I looked up reviews for this facility after this happened and almost all of them are very bad. I would never want another family to go through what we went through. Our loved ones deserve dignity, cleanliness, and care. Please think twice before placing your loved one here.

They locked me in a room to isolate me. The patients here are great, this place is like high school there's so much drama between everybody. I learned nothing here. It's like a daycare for adults. I only took a star off because the case manager we were assigned was not clear as to the discharged process. However once the director of the case managers was aware, he not only apologized and rectified the situation but also provided the same outstanding service we grew accustomed to from the rest of the departments. Over all a good place for our loved one to recuperate. Definitely recommend.
