I felt the spirit rekindle within me and was in awe of the fellowship amongst the church member that were present at Allen Anderlie's farewell. The peace I felt after experiencing so much turmoil recently in my life refreshed my being with renewed hope. What was exceptionally welcoming to me was that this is a very contemporary approach to the word of God that I have been seeking for a long time. Brought up Baptist at an early age, Lutheran in my teens and later as I married my first husband I changed to Episcopalian, I either hear Hell and brimstone or had my head covered and followed strict theological standards. This church made me feel as though God knew me and had an approach that was personal. The sermon was beautiful and to the point, without boredom but with relationship with the present day. Pastor Kent Clark seems to be approachable, sincere, caring, and in touch with the present world around him. I wish I could attend this church but the distance is further than I can manage, but anyone seeking what I believe to be a place to have a wonderful modern approach to the word of God, I highly recommend this Church and Pastor. Thank you God and Pastor Clark for making my day brighter. Rest in Peace Allen Anderlie

I ended up moving away for the past two years and moved back a few months ago. I knew I wanted to come back here, because I love Wednesday groups and my son loves Awana. I started to get more involved at Woodside, I even joined the Woodside running team and ran the Detroit International Half-Marathon with a few team members! They had out Thanksgiving baskets and run to raise money for the Hope water Project, bringing wells to the nomadic tribe of the Pokot in Northern Kenya. Messages are relevant to what's happening NOW in the world. It's a weird world. Pastors at all campuses give messages on the same topic but have their own stories & memories to draw on. KCC is contemporary but sticks to the Bible. From the babies on up to the older people, they fully serve & show kindness.
