The actual quality of the work isn't bad. Frank the painter is good at his job and should probably actually be the one in contact with the customers. The customer service is deplorable. Once you get an estimate and sign a contract, there is supposed to be contact from a scheduler to schedule your job then a project manager to help you with color selections, to be available to contact before and during the job with questions, what you need to do to prep, etc. We had NONE of that. What we were told repeatedly was this is a one day job that absolutely would not be allowed to go 2 days (which we preferred). Instead it was stretched into a 4 day job. Exterior power washing was done the first day but the one interior room to be painted wasn't started until the 2nd day. Exterior painting didn't start until the 3rd day. They didn't even have paint for the interior or exterior the first day of actual painting, the painter had to go out and buy it. Interior walls weren't primed despite being painted a lighter color. Sent one man to paint (that was their crew). One painter was to paint the entire exterior and one interior room. Before the job was completed, our painter was pulled off the job and left a non-english speaking gentleman to complete it. He finished and left without a word. When we needed the painter to come back and touch up some spots that were missed we had to contact someone through the owner's office to get that done. We were told the painter would be back to finish up some final caulking but that has not happened thus far. The project manager has already called and emailed about picking up a check for the final payment on the job. Not allowed to mail it apparently. I've only heard from our project manager if there is money to be collected. These folks seem very disorganized and unprofessional, at least from the perspective that the painter wasn't using primer, didn't have paint for the job or caulking, and the project manager doesn't actually do anything but collect money. Painter and project manager didn't even know our paint choices until the first day of the job even though we provided them to the estimator (who quit the week before our job started) at least 3 weeks in advance. Not sure what the schedulers job is because I never heard from one. One thing I do know is, our job didn't matter to them because they didn't care about even completing it. There is a real disconnect with this group and the only people who made an effort to provide ANY customer service were the owner, Scott, who called after I tried contacting someone in charge and his associate who actually came to my home and checked things out. Dalilah was wonderful and truly knows how to deal with people and get things done. Poor Frank the painter has no control over anything but still manages to do his best despite all the disarray and inconsistencies. read more

We hired Five Star to stain our front door, wooden garage door, gates, and paint the trim and windows around our house. They did a great job with the staining- the front door looks beautiful. However, the trim around the house and around the windows looked terrible- lots of paint on the stucco and areas that weren't even painted. After contacting Courtney, he sent a crew out right away to fix the work, which I appreciated. However, there are still areas where the paint is not straight as well as areas where there is brown paint on my tan stucco. I would appreciated a follow-up call to make sure that the errors were remedied (which they were not). At this point, I will be hiring someone else to come out and fix the errors. read more
