This gentleman responded promptly to our inquiry, reviewed our photos and arrived on time with a multiple repair options. I like that in approach in a handyman-come prepared for the worst case scenario-have all of the tools ready. This job was challenging because the entire condition was a rigged up and half-a*% hack job from prior owner. Paul and Victor Fernandes, his carpenter/handyman of the above company have done it again in coming out to our home to do some very helpful projects that we have wanted done for a number of months. Well we have had our neighbors replace the fences on our adjacent property and we had a chain-link wire fence on our side. The challenging part was weeds would grow in between the neighbor's newer wood fence and our older chain-link version. This was a major eye-sore. It was my job to use various garden tools to try and pull the unwanted weeds out of this tight space of about 13". I would stand on a ladder to try and take that growth out after I had sprayed it with weed killer poison. I would get cuts on the underside of my arm from the top of the wire mesh. We have asked other handymen services to what their estimated charges would be. However we were able to get a better price from PJP Handyman Services, the parent company of this Pro-Dryer Vent Cleaning Service. Today Victor Fernandes came out, took out the chain-link fence with it's posts and everything. He used a special Electrical Skill Saw to remove them at the base where they were attached to the concrete base. They were flush with the ground, so that the posts where there is very difficult to see. He rolled up the old link fence getting it out of the way to possibly turn into an aluminum recycling center. Then he used his carpenter's skills to craft endings that closed up the open spaces between the old fences and the new ones on the different sides of our backyard. I furnished him with the boards that I picked up at Lowe's Home Improvement Store. The special thing that you will see in my pictures is he needed to saw, cut, notch, measure and screw those pieces into place to close up the gaps and also make a corner. I asked him if I could borrow his electric skill saw to saw off most of a dead tree that we have had but weren't getting to. That saw made it all possible. Now we just have the major trunk parts remaining. Furthermore, he secured our Curbside Mailbox to its wooden stand. He also secured other fences that had loose boards. Paul was quick to reply to my request for service for chimney sweep. I got an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. The day before, I got a text to confirm if we were still "on" for today. We were scheduled for 9am Saturday. At 8:30am, I received a text telling me that they were on their way. Paul and Ramiro arrived at 9am sharp. They were wearing masks and dressed professionally. I hadn't initially been looking for or thinking about dryer vent cleaning. But since I'd never had either chimney or dryer done, it made sense to do them both. While Paul worked on the chimney, Ramiro worked on the dryer. They laid out a sheet to protect our floors and their cleaning kit kind of looked like a golf club bag. They were in and out within the hour and provided pictures of the work they had done. Lastly they texted me a receipt.
