Back in August we bought a new home and we needed a few walls in our kitchen, a small bathroom a bed room and a basement painted. After looking around for painters in the area we decided on Pesh and his crew. Joe seemed really excited and motivated. Now a word from the painters own FB page 4 weeks after starting our job... "Gonna have to start being more detailed in my emails and estimates I guess and stop trying to "hook up" people. For those who dont know, We charge by the hour, we dont accept credit cards, there is at the least a one month wait for any project, we do not work on any deadlines. First payment will be made 2 days prior to scheduled start date. Any additional work not mentioned in original estimate will result in additional charges. Probably should start charging people for all the materials we use also.... " First how hard is it to take a CC? In todays world there are so many CC options for small business owners. Next we did NOT asked to get "hooked up" we just wanted our home painted well and in timely fashion. Neither of these things were accomplished. We have crooked lines all over the place, paint on light fixtures, missing hardware and a broken toilet seat in our bathroom (I assume someone stood on it rather than using a ladder) There were excuses left and right from Joe as to why everything was taking so long but I think he says it best himself in another quote from his FB page... "I've just been promoted to Expert Procrastinator! I'll tell you why later...." read more

It's pretty ironic that the name of this company is 5 Star Services when we received less than one star quality. We hired Joe to repair the interior cracks, as well as paint the interior of a three story condominium building. From the start we had issues with Joe over promising and under delivering. He wouldn't show when he said he would, causing the project to run over by months. He has left several areas unpainted, missed edges where old paint is showing through, left tape on several fixtures, left paint on the carpets, and now several of his crack repairs are reappearing. He has made several commitments to come and complete the job, but hasn't shown up once. He has been unresponsive to our attempts to contact him. Which is upsetting because we worked with him to get him money when he needed it even through the job wasn't finished. He was in the process of buying a house so we tried to help the guy out and he did us dirty. If you are thinking of hiring Joe I would highly recommend against it. He lacks integrity, time management, communication skills, and follow through. He's been a nice guy, but nice doesn't get the job done. read more

5 Star Services first came to my house project to paint the interior. Joe and his crew did such a good job that we had him paint the exterior. Then they did tiling in my master bathroom (after we let go of our original contractor), and then my husband and I decided to have them install new baseboards and trim throughout my house - labor and material included. So I found this guy in Yelp and I have to say, I have had contractor nightmares in the past, however Joseph has been AMAZING!!!!! I don't give 5 stars but for them I will. All the drywall, painting, wood work, garage sealing has been impeccable. Everything can in on budget and if things were running show, he brought in more contractors to make it happen. Be very leery of hiring this company. He initially did a fine job at our job site, but then failed to come back to correct several items on our punch list. He DID commit to doing the work that was identified, but then never came back and never communicated with our project lead. If you hire them, do NOT pay in full until the job is completed to your satisfaction! read more
