THEIVES!!! I cannot say it enough: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Save yourself the nightmare because anyone else would be better! Do NOT use this company unless you want your stuff smashed, trashed, and stolen. They damaged two VERY expensive machines I use for my livelihood and said it was inevitable because they're heavy. Almost every box has something broken in it. And certain things Fred commented on when he loaded the truck- NO WHERE in my new house. He kept them. This is after he made frequent comments of "You got a lot of nice stuff. This would look real good in my house." He told me he was joking and to lighten up and that he would "take care of me". Well he took care of me all right. He trashed my things and stole what he liked. Including medically necessary items that I now have to replace! The candle stand in the pictures? I had three. He let me keep the broken one and took the two that were whole. On top of that, he milked the clock as much as he could to get a higher payday. He charged by hour and took two days to move everything. But when he was "moving" he was really smoking at his truck, shouting at his dog to "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" for the whole neighborhood to hear, or standing around talking. And while his helpers helped, the number of breaks they took was excessive. When I reached out to see how he would "take care of me" for the missing and broken items, he ghosted me. Wouldn't answer his phone, ignored my texts with the photos- nothing. Small claims court here we come. read more

Bruh when I tell you these 2 men was on point that's exactly what it was!!! We were running about 30 mins late due to a hold up at Penske and they patiently waited for us to arrive. When I say they didn't come to play baby let me tell you. They unloaded that truck by themselves in 2 hours. They took care unloading my furniture as if it was their own. Took the who're handle with care to a whole new meaning..... I was very pleased and satisfied with their work. Plus I have room left in the storage to put more stuff!!! I used FJC Moving twice before a few years ago to help with two moves and was very pleased with the professional, timely service provided.   However, this time when I hired two movers for three hours minimum from FJC it was completely different.  He showed up with a hurt leg and brought three other people with him, assuring me this wouldn't affect the price.  Less than an hour into unloading they took a 15-minute smoke break. These additional people were clearly not trained movers. They helped unload a few boxes and opened most of them upside down, and I had to ask them repeatedly to be careful with the items they were moving.      Fred and his team let me know they were done 2.5 hours in (30 minutes less than the 3 hour minimum) but he wanted to charge an extra hour for the two extra people helping him. When I questioned this based on our agreement, he became upset.   I was very disappointed in the service FJC Moving provided this time, and would never use them again or recommend them. read more

I had FJC move us into our new house on Sunday. This was my time not moving myself and my lord have I been living my life wrong!!!!! Fred and team arrived right on time and started in. Everything was handled with extreme care. They wrapped furniture,mattresses and most everything not boxed up. We had a 2 bedroom 1100 square foot condo and a garage. Fred and team had everything packed in 90 minutes. Once at the new house it was 90 min to unload. Everything was placed exactly where we wanted them. I read the reviews before I called FJC. You can't go wrong with Fred and his crew. Everyone has years of experience, and it shows from the pad on the living and dining room to the padding put on the front door and frame, along with the banister. Everything was handled with care and carefully wrapped. Everything was in and out of the truck in about 2 hrs. each way (1600 sq. ft.). The cost was half of what was quoted by a competitor. Everything that wasn't already boxed up was either wrapped up in blankets or carefully placed in the truck so that it wouldn't get damaged. If they took something apart, they put it back together when it was delivered. Delivery was just as impressive. Great care was made to make sure every item or box was placed where we wanted it. Yelp, I used FJC 2 weekends in a row, and was a client...so if these guys say I didn't, they are lying. It's unfortunate I have to leave a negative review. I used FJC to load up a 20 ft truck the first weekend, one of the guys that showed up had a verbal altercation with my 73 yr old mother. Admittedly, she tends to go off and had said something negative, so I can appreciate that side of it. The guy mouthed off though, and in a loud voice told her to calm down. That wasn't necessary. I left it alone and went on about things. When I went to get the truck, same guy said something like, "I ain't wearin no mask" because of Covid. I mentioned to him he didn't have to when working and not near my Mother, but if close to her, he needed to....he repeated the statement again, and I told him he needed to leave then if he couldn't follow proper protocol. My mother is 73 and has a compromised immune system. I called the owner, he wouldn't send anyone else out, so I left it alone and kept her away from the entire situation. We got done, but when I went back down after they were gone, someone(I didn't see it) threw 3 boxes of hardwood through a 2x4 open wall int eh storage in the basement, and damaged some of the wood, and had thrown it into my wine rack...wine rack is ok, but still some small damage...either way...it's not ok to do this....When the owner came out the second weekend, he said the guy wouldn't do it and blew it/me off...well, hmmm I didn't do it, I have way to many other important things to do that...to throw shit around, damage my own stuff I don't want damaged, and try to blame someone for it...maybe it magically threw itself, makes total sense! I gave these guys the benefit of the doubt the second weekend, after talking to the owner...Fred the owner said he would personally come and take care of my next weekend move and would be there probably before lunch. Cool, problem solved.. He called me around 11 and said it would probably be more like 1-2pm....I get it, I've moved approximately 45+ times since college many years ago, not my first rodeo....I called when they weren't there at 2, he said it was probably going to be more like 3:30....now I'm running into an issue, my movers in Denver could have come down and started at 8am, but wanted to give Fred the chance to correct the first weekend. He didn't get there until almost 4pm, my ring camera lit up with the time so I have it on film. They walked in without masks, Fred came downstairs and immediately lit into me about how I didn't tell him the size of the move, etc etc...told me off for about 10 minutes, and said he was going to walk...leaving me high and dry on my weekend before a house closing....strange, didn't know it was my responsibility as the client to explain to him the story on my move, even though I mentioned several times on the personal call with him, we were moving out....he griped me out, ran me all over the house getting things he thought I should get ready for them to load then didn't load or use...and said he was tired from the work day and only could give me 2 hours. It actually ended up being more like 1.5 hours, and half my truck filled, he said there was no way we would get the rest of the big stuff in this 26 ft truck...he had done it for 30 years, and didn't say it, but insinuated several times I was an idiot(idiot with 45+ moves, and a masters degree)...I paid them what he said I would have to pay $585 including the weekend before, travel time, and 2 hours for that day when it was really closer to 1.5 the second weekend, and nothing close to filling the truck. So Fred left me high and dry. I had the house closing on Tuesday 3 days away, so he screwed me pretty good...I immediately called the contractor guys that worked for me on the house for the last 1.5 years, 2 retired fireman from Woodland Park, they launched over to the house, were there in 30 minutes, took us 2 hours to finish loading the truck...and WE DID INDEED get all the big stuff into the 26 ft truck, and I went back to Denver with a full load. We were out on Monday and closed on Tuesday as planned. Again, it looks like others had a different experience, and happy for them, but my move was a @#$@#$ nightmare with these guys, and they almost screwed my closing. My fireman buddies know everyone in Woodland Park, and alot of people in CO Springs, and already started spreading the word. They are highly respected, and treated us like family because we take care of those that take care of us. I would have done the same with FJC and Fred if I had been treated with even a modicum of respect. I work with clients every day in my job, and i smooth over tough/bad situations as a Director of a Software Company, I deal with this for a living, and know how to make customers happy, I am not a tough customer, the only thing I expect is the same respect I give others...I got ZERO respect from these guys, and honestly was treated as if I were a moron. I don't appreciate big egos. read more

Just used these guys today to move a piano to our house. Fred picks up calls at any time of day and gave us a next-day solution without any hassles. I simply provided the addresses and information on the object to be moved and he gave me a quote. Prior to using his services, I called three other moving companies and they quoted me twice the amount with all different specifics on pay per hour, price per stair, price per mile and all kinds of other "tacked on charges". On the day of the move, the company showed up on time and I didn't have to be present at the pick-up location. I was present at the destination only to ensure the piano was placed where I wanted because of its weight. Care was taken about the house and services were delivered as expected. I also noticed that they used packaging equipment and padding to ensure the integrity of the property and the house. I would definitely use this company again for small to medium moves. read more

Fred and crew did an amazing job moving us during a blizzard. The forecast called for 1" and Fred assured me his team was up to the task. The next day, during the move, we got 10" of snow. The FJC team were timely, efficient and clean (a big deal considering the weather). FJC was able to move our household items, a hot tub (see pic) and the kids playset. We were able to load everything from one house and move across town in one day. That's a big feat considering the snow prevented FJC from staging items outside for loading and unloading. MOVERS BEWARE FJC Moving was a complete no show. They were scheduled to show up to our residence for a moving quote at 4 pm. Fred, the owner of the company, called me to reschedule and asked if a 2 pm meet up time was a possibility, due to his scheduled being freed up. During this conversation he was very friendly and I even commented I was sorry about the review left by Shanna Eilers who had ripped the company for an awful experience as the company had left her high and dry with a no call no show during her move date. He joked about that experience. The JOKE is on me. They were a NO CALL NO SHOW on that same day. When we reached out to see what was going on and if they still planned to show up, they didn't even bother to answer any calls, voicemails or text messages. I think 5 star review comments must be done by family friends or he paid people for positive reviews as this is no way to treat a person. This company totally left me hanging after I arranged with them for two movers to help us load a trailer with 90-100 boxes. Our trailer, which cost $1200 to use came on time, but the movers never showed. I had spoken twice with the boss Fred to arrange things. No communication from them. When we frantically called to ask where were the movers we hired we were simply told there were none available as they were still working another job. When we tried to recontact the boss later, he refused to answer our calls as we only got voicemail. I understand that so many businesses now operate with such minimal staff that they have little margin, but this was a clear case of epic mismanagement and lack of integrity. If you decide to hire this company just know that there is no guarantee your hired workers will show up. Their unreliability made our moving day a nightmare. read more

Punctual, professional and trustworthy! This was a relatively short move but not an easy one. These guys went above and beyond in their efforts to get our furniture into an older home. Narrow doorways, narrow staircase and lower ceilings did not deter them from placing our furniture exactly where we wanted it. They were so pleasant to work with as well. Don't use these guys. Broken furniture and over charges! They broke the feet off my china cabinet and Fred said "don't be mad". He went on to blame the cabinet maker. Then asked if he should "remove the 4th leg! It cost me $400 to repair it. I also found my power washer hidden behind ladders in garage that had a broken wheel. It was fine before the move. And they took my grey furniture mover with them, too. Finally, he quoted $130 an hour. They worked for 8 hours and I was charged $1650. That is $610 over the quote! I paid because I was so livid at the condition of my things and just wanted them out of my house! read more

Fred was able to accommodate our request the day prior to moving. It was extremely last-minute but he was able to get his team together to help us out. There was a delay at the UHaul causing us to lose an initial 45 minutes but Fred's team still made quick work of transferring our items into their truck and moved it to our apartment. An extra star for moving our things up three flights of stairs! The boxes were in poor shape so they slid and fell when being placed in the apartment, but it was due to the UHaul move, not FJC's mishandling. Thanks again, Fred.
