Terrible, nightmare experience with the owners of this company! Their employees...the loaders...on the other hand, are terrific, friendly, professional hard workers. As long as there are zero issues, your move will most likely be fine. You have to decide if it's worth the risk, though, because if you have to deal with the owners because of any problems that arise, there's a big chance it will become awful. It quickly became apparent on move day that they had grossly misinformed and falsely assured me of the space I would need...this despite doing a thorough walk-through with very specific questions from me regarding my particular circumstances and needs. I made my decisions based on their responses, trusting all they told me. That was a mistake. On move day, the husband was called when it became clear the space needed was far from what they assured me I'd need or came prepared with. He proceeded to deny everything they had said during walk-through and fabricated lies of things never said. When I stood up to his lies, he became confrontational and argumentative, extremely disrespectful and condescending, making personal and disparaging remarks about me and my character. I am a 67 year old single woman, and I was shocked by his behavior towards me. I told him to stop speaking to me in my home in such a manner, but he didn't stop. I finally had to order him to leave my home. It was the worst example of gaslighting I have ever seen; neither have I ever been on the receiving end of such a thing. Luckily a move manager I had hired was there and witnessed the whole thing; I also have recorded proof of everything I ever discussed with them along with their responses. Once I ordered the husband to leave my home, he retaliated and ordered his crew to unload the truck, leaving me high and dry. I told him and the workers that I wanted them to keep loading but, of course, they had to listen to their boss. One of the workers felt so bad for me that he came back on his own time and helped to load a Uhaul container I had also rented for possible overflow. I had to leave and travel to Missouri, so my household belongings had to be left behind. As of this date, I still don't have my belongings, except for what came in the Uhaul container. I have to find another company to complete the move Bennett's Moving backed out of on move day. I trusted the high ratings for Bennett's Moving on Google, but when I went back to read the reviews more thoroughly, I discovered the good reviews were primarily regarding their employees...and they were indeed awesome. I also found most of the negative reviews involved the owners, the problems they were responsible for, and how they handled those problems. I even found a couple of reviews that were almost identical to my experience...a proven pattern of behavior. My recommendation is to be very careful in choosing Bennett's Moving, knowing you could be stuck on move day with inadequate transportation for your things or, worse yet, treated badly and extremely unprofessionally with the move not happening at all. They did not handle the issues that they caused appropriately or with professionalism. They didn't own up to their failings but, rather, lied and gaslit...as I'm sure will sadly be the case as well in their response to this review. read more

Very expensive for a small move. Spent time and wrote a long detailed review. Wendy called for an explanation, and became very rude over the phone. There was a miscommunication over the 2 hr minimum. She wanted me to change the review, and I gave in and took it down out of kindness. In retrospect I regret taking it down. I don't recommend Bennett's, and would never return business of any kind. Update: I just happened to notice that the owner added a misleading and inaccurate comment. I want to clarify that I was NOT charged less than their 2hr minimum. I have attached my invoice. I received a small discount for paying cash, the shrink wrap was taken off because they didn't use any. This business is about as dishonest as I have ever encountered. It's sad that years later they are trying to cover their tracks. Posting a bold faced lie on your Yelp review is a dumb thing to do, and I challenge you to post the invoice to back up your lie that I was charged less than your minimum at the time. Reply to the comment made by the business owner: I assure you that I was never told that I was put on a "standby list" or waitlist. If I were, I would have booked with another company. I would never choose to make moving harder than it already is, and on top of that doing it by myself. The bottom line is that I booked this move over a month in advance. When I booked it, it seemed like they found an open appointment and I was excited. I only wish I would've received a call at least a few days before the move, instead of an hour before the scheduled time. Maybe then I would've had time to make other arrangements. read more

I'm so unbelievably disappointed in this company. I booked a move over a month in advance and was told it wouldn't be a problem. The night before the move I received a call from a Little Red Wagon confirming the move. The owner informed me his movers would be there around 9 and would call when they were on the way. I told him I was confused and asked if Little Red Wagon and Bennett's were the same company. He said no that that is his sister's company. And since Bennett's accidentally overbooked, they gave his company some of the moves. What in the freakin world. But it gets better. He asked what I was moving out of and what size truck I was getting them to load up. I told him and he said there is no way it would all fit. Mind you it is after six at night and my husband is driving the truck across country in the morning. He said they would get it as tight as they could but they probably couldn't get everything in. I had already verified the truck was big enough with Penske and had done my own research. Plus Bennett's was aware of the size of house I was moving out of and what truck that company was supposed to load up. So I'm not sure if LRW isn't good at loading and he knew that or we didn't have enough room. Either way, someone from either company has cost my family so much money. And on top of that I have so many pieces of furniture damaged and other items unusable. A freakin nightmare. I'm very disappointed and feel like the majority of the issues could have been avoided if Bennett's would have called me to let me know they overbooked and offered the other company as an alternative instead of assuming and not giving me any heads up. Oh and there are marks in door frames and around corners where the movers hit them with our items. I had just finished touching up all of the walls and corners so know the marks are new. I understand this is more LRW, but it's Bennett's fault as they are who I booked. LRW had nice workers, but overall the experience has me dreading moving again. By far the best moving company EVER! We had to move my mother in law from Colorado to Arizona for health reasons. She had a long life-time of items, including expensive collectables and large odd shaped things. Oh - did I mention she lives in the middle of nowhere?!? The owners were fabulous when they arrived - very thorough with the inventory estimating the move and very fair in the pricing. Moving day the movers were awesome in the care they took in wrapping and packing everything - better than the 'self-packed' items! The move was a 12 hour drive, so they drove the 1st day then drove a bit more the 2nd day and then unpacked. They were awesome yet again! unpacking and setting up the beds and shelves. Everyone was very professional and so sweet with my elderly mother. I would HIGHLY recommend them!!!! read more

I had used this company about 3 years ago to move my moms belongings from her apartment to an assisted living. When she passed away a couple weeks ago , there was even less stuff to move so I made a few calls and again ended up hiring Bennetts. They are priced competitively and I knew I could trust them again. I was not disappointed. They worked efficiently and carefully so to keep their hourly fee as low as possible. Most of the boxes and a few furniture pieces ended up in our garage but I wanted to swap a dresser from inside our house with the one from moms room. They had to carry one dresser downstairs and take another dresser to the garage . They were very careful and successful in avoiding wall or furniture damage. Bennett's moving company was referred to me so naturally I called them and booked their movers to move my family accross town. I didn't call around to other moving companies because they were a referral to me (wish I would have now). The owner called me at 8pm the night before our move and offered a higher expense to add a third mover so that we could be moved in less time. Mike, Chris and Daniel showed up to move us. I ended up paying $850 to have them break my HE front loading washing machine, my $600 grill and ding my headboards on the stair well as well as chip the newly painted walls. They were moving me for 8 hours. That is not quick at all, in fact they had plenty of ciggarette breaks and chit chat while "working". As the time grew later, the guys were unloading the truck I asked that they simply put the boxes anywhere out of their way for the furniture and I would go through and put them in the right rooms later on. I litterally had to repeat myself 9 times for them to do this. They would come to me with boxes in their arms and stand in front of me confused as to where to put the boxes down. Needless to say, my spouse came home for a few minutes during the move and one of the movers disclosed that he just got out of comcore. They also disclosed that they were paid under the table and their language was fowl. Hire professionals people! I must give credit to Wendy for offering to replace the washing machine part that was broken. Communication is not this company's strong part. She called me to verify the model number. I wrote the model number down and gave it to one of her movers to give to her, plus another mover took pictures of the model number & broken part with his phone to show her. When calling to check on the part's arrival, she told my spouse that it would have been ordered sooner if I gave her the model number sooner. I gave it to them was same day it was broken! Then she said we are responsible for putting the part back on the machine. That's like damaging a wall and buying the dry wall repair kit and dropping it off to the home owner and saying "good luck". What the heck. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Shady operation! Stick to the desaster clean-up and crime scene clean-up and leave moving to more reputable companies! We recently moved from Colorado to Arizona using Bennett's Moving. The three men who packed the truck could not have been more polite and considerate. We have moved several times and never had the movers pad the entry door and cover the railing to the loft with pads. They also wrapped large pieces of furniture with pads and THEN shrink-wrapped it as well. They were most careful of our home in every regard and were very pleasant and worked non-stop to get the truck packed. Two days later we met them at the storage facility and again experienced the same consideration. We recommend this company with the highest regard. read more

Being used to using national chains like United Van Lines for moves, I was a bit skeptical of hiring a local moving firm but picking Bennett's was the best thing I could have done. Simply put, they are not only very good, but they are strongly customer focused. I fully expect a moving company to show care for my household goods, to pack and move it properly, to unload and reassemble furniture, and to work efficiently. Thanks to the military, I've moved more than 20 times in my life and these guys are among the best movers with whom I've ever dealt. I used them for both packing and moving. The packing was a last minute desperation call and they came through. I underestimated how much packing I had left, but their crew kept working until it was done. After looking at the size of the job after packing, the owners adjusted the size of the crew originally scheduled and got the job done in one day (6 bedroom house; 4000 sq ft). To do that, they brought on help from another local company with whom they have an agreement. Hat's off to Chase, Justin, Kevin, and Sean from Bennett's! At every step, they asked what we wanted and they were responsive to every request. Great company and great workers. Hiring them was a smooth move (pun intended). I do have one suggestion if you hire them. The national chains always send estimators out before hand to make sure they've sized their crews and trucks properly. If you hire Bennett's, I recommend you ask for someone to come out and do that just to make sure you haven't understimated as I did. read more

I called Bennett's about moving a full-sized upright piano. I described the move over the phone, and they said they thought it would just take 2 men. We booked the reservation, and then when they arrived at my family's house to pick it up they said they would need 3 men after all, and that they didn't have a 3rd guy available that day. This part was disappointing, but understandable, and I'm glad they didn't move it if they didn't have the team required. The part that really annoyed me was that they didn't even call me to tell me they couldn't do it, or to re-schedule. I just heard second-hand through my family that they weren't going to do the job. read more
