Also, he let me know that I would not be the in ICU (as discussed previously), but in day surgery. I wasn't prepared to how severe the surgery was and all the recovery it took. I had two young children at the time. My face looks worse and I still have problems with my jaw. I am reminded every day I look in the mirror.
