I recently finished a project with Flagstaff Native plant and seed. It was a wonderful experience. Sarah was very responsive and answered all my questions. She gave us a design and bid for our backyard remodel. Other companies wanted to charge a ridiculous fee for a design. Sarah had one to me in a matter of days. The design and bid was reasonable and we went with the company. The crew came out when they said they would and worked hard each day to get the project done ahead of schedule. Each time there was a complication that came up the guys addressed it and solved the problem. Their bid came in below a lot of the others. They weren't the lowest bid but they showed a level of professionalism that made me comfortable and want to go with them. I already saw their work because they did a neighbor's backyard last year. So I know they do good work. At the end of the project they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves and Sarah was available to answer any questions after the fact and they got paid. I would highly recommend them for design and execution. I would definitely use them again. read more

Nigel is the best! He consulted us on installing a water harvesting system on our property. He is very knowledgeable and has a good crew that helps with installation. We ended up going for a 1750 gallon tank, with new extra large gutters with screens. He was able to hook it up with our existing irrigation system, so now our grass is watered with rain we harvested from the roof! We will also be watering our fruit trees and shrubs with this water. He took the time to explain our options, and worked with us on how to get the most bang for our buck. There were only a couple of small issues with the installation, which he was able to solve quickly. He was quick in responding to the issues. Unfortunately, these people only do large landscape projects or homes. They are not available for people interested in tending their own private gardens through retail. Sad. I had heard wonderful things about this business (which is no longer open). I contracted with Sarah to have d rip system put in my front and back yards. It was very expensive and a nightmare experience. Sarah dropped by gor about 10 minutes to listen to what I wanted, then brought a crew of 2 to do the work. She did not check on them. They left after a few hours. The project was perhaps 1/3 done. There was no explanation of how the system worked. In all, they were back 3 times to do a really bad job that was never completed to my satisfaction. My advice: stay away!! read more

Native Plant and Seed was at the flagstaff home show this year promoting landscaping services. We talked to them and got a business card. We emailed the next day requesting a quote. Two months later we still haven't received a response. Based on responsiveness alone, I would not do business with this company. read more

I found this place online while searching for trees. I have a ranch near Flagstaff and wanted to plant some trees. I was able to order the trees over the phone and scheduled for them to also plant the trees. Very knowledgeable and professional staff. They have a great selection. They planted my Arizona Cypress trees and did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier! I went back today (Labor Day weekend) and they had a sale on trees so I was able to get two very tall (8+ feet tall) Quaking Aspen trees for less than $200 bucks!! We had a great experience with Sarah and Flagstaff Native Plant & Seed. After meeting with her to discuss our ideas, she sent over a great design along with some great ideas. After a few adjustments and changes (which she happily made for us!) we got the job scheduled. Despite some delays due to the weather, the job was completed and we are very happy with the results! We got quotes from two other companies and Sarah's bid offered great value for the work that was done. We did retaining walls, pavers, irrigation, turf and plantings. I have visited this business three times and have wandered around trying to find someone to help me. I know they help the arboretum and other worthy causes, but helping customers does not seem to be a priority. Too bad. read more

Turned tail, walked to her vehicle and drove away. Was left wondering about this firms customer service and relations. Do not think I want them to do any work on my yard!
