We hired Vistas to do a full tear-out and replacement of our entire roof, repair a water-rotted corner, replace rotted/warped fascia boards, and install new ridge vents. Jacob was responsive, showed up on time for the initial appointment. After a quick evaluation, he suggested other items that hadn't occurred to me such as adding the ridge vents to improve attic ventilation and cutting back the siding where it was touching the shingles, something that should have been done when the house was built! Jacob quickly got back to us with what turned out to be the best quote. I greatly appreciated that Jacob happily dropped off the new fascia boards the day before the job started so I could prime and paint them before installation. This saved me a lot of high ladder work to paint them after the fact! Jacob and his crew showed up on time the day the job started and immediately got to work. The crew was courteous, efficient, and very professional. They are clearly a well-oiled team and we were amazed that they were able to finish the entire job in only two days, even with a rain delay! Skylight failure necessitated the need for a quick replacement. I found Vistas after another company was three weeks out for even being able to assess the repair. Waiting wasn't an option since we were taking on a lot of water when it rained. Vistas responded immediately and the next day came to check out the skylight. We discussed replacement, as well as a few other minor repairs and some re-shingling on a small section of roof. The contract process was easy with online signature option. The guys were courteous and professional, and even did a temporary fix to stop the leak. The day of repair arrived and these guys were PROMPT! They arrived right on time. Having dealt with construction throughout my life, I knew the drill, and that often folks don't show up or are late. It's something you come to expect, because let's face it, things happen - stuff goes wrong on other jobs, vehicles break down, material deliveries are delayed and so on. We had an excellent experience with Vistas Roofing, and would absolutely recommend them for any roofing need. We did a full re-shingle plus all new sheathing, replacement of some rafters, some roof venting, and full gutter installation. A big job! When Jacob came to provide us an estimate, we were pleased with his competency and with the materials they planned to use. Their quote/rate was competitive and they were able to start right away. Unfortunately, we started the job right before the start of one of Flagstaff's wettest winters ever, but the crew worked really hard to get the roof buttoned up before the first storm, even working into twilight before the first flakes fell. They had to return multiple times to finish the job because it was so large and they had very limited weather windows between storms. Even though I'm sure it was annoying to return so many times, they didn't skimp - they came back as many times as it took and did quality work each time. They even applied extra attention to detail like re-painting our roof fixtures to match the new shingles without being asked. The crew was respectful and friendly. When they were done, they left our property completely clean - zero mess, zero nails on the ground. After the job was done and we'd paid in full, we discovered an issue with the gutter installation in one area. We contacted them and they arrived promptly to fix the issue. While they were here fixing it, they also installed a heat strip on one ice-dam-prone area of the roof for free because they'd happened to have the one strip left over from another job. We had a roof done a few months ago by a guy who turned out to be unlicensed and incompetent. The roof started leaking to the point two sections of the ceiling fell in. We gave this guy a chance to fix it and it was worse. We contacted a licensed roofing contractor in Prescott Valley who sent a salesman up here to Ash Fork. They gave us a contract to repair the poorly done new roof. We paid half up front and got a date for them to begin. They came up to work on it then suddenly pulled out of the contract and refunded the deposit. Telling us they were too busy. We started calling around and reading reviews. We got little or no response from other companies. I came across Vistas in Flagstaff. We contacted them on a Monday and explained the problems with other companies. Jacob came out the next day and gave an estimate. Jacob and his crew started this on July 14th, a couple hours of storm delays. They finished it today and just in time for a inbound storm. Not only did they do a great job, they made sure to clean up and checked for any stray nails. They show up at 630 and work all day. Friendly, polite and respectful. They work hard. Other companies offer a 2 year warranty, these guys have a 4 year warranty on labor and manufacturers warranty on materials. I recommend these guys over all others. Joanna D read more
