When I started my personal account at the Livonia branch many years ago they were friendly got to…read moreknow you and service was great. I started a new business account there 4 years ago and the guy that worked with me was professional and got to know me and helped me with all my business needs. The other guy was completely useless and if my guy wasn't there this other guy always screwed things up. My guy left this branch and went to another branch and the bankers there took little interest in me or my business, so I stopped going there for help or when I needed assistance with the plan to move to another bank. Since then, the branch manager changed, and I have little to know good experiences at this bank anymore. It has become really phony and absurd. The tellers behind the window stop what they are doing and loudly say hello, or hello welcome to chase to you when you walk in while helping the person at the window. It feels fake and phony like they really don't mean it but have to say it. I went into the branch today to deposit a check and my customer got the first two words in my business right but instead of repairs wrote improvement. This same customer has written me checks from the same checking account about 15 times over the two years and three in last 6 months. The last check the customer did the same thing, and the teller deposited the check. This time they said the third word in my name is wrong and wont deposit it. The supervisor wouldn't allow it either. If they listened to me and looked at my account, they would have seen exactly what I was talking about and that there are numerous checks for various amounts made out to me from the same person and checking account so it's not like there is no precedent. I explained my client just left to go on vacation for 10 days and that didn't matter. I asked if client crossed it out and initialed it if they would deposit it and before I could finish saying I would race to the airport to get them to do so and the reason for initial is they wouldn't have their check book to write a new check.....instead she interrupted me and said, "I thought you said they were on vacation?" then said no, because you just told me they left for vacation you will write it in..... This is ridiculous, this would never have happened with the previous manager or my banker that moved to another branch. If I am depositing a check illegally into a chase bank account, the author would put a stop payment and chase would take the money out of my account. it's not like i was getting cash and walking out. This is the type of stupidity that makes a business or in this case a bank lose customers. I have my retirement account there, my personal accounts, my wife, both my kids at this branch i I have had several other stupid issues with this branch since the manager vanessa left. I do not recommend anyone use this bank in its current management. I will be pulling out my retirement, business, personal, and family accounts and going to another bank.

My husband and I have been DFCU customers for over 30 years. We always had an excellent…read morerelationship and impeccable service UNTIL 2024. They started with my business account: 1. They changed my account # without informing me until 4pm that day via e-mail. Fortunately, I was not traveling. 2. I asked if there had been a data breach in order for them to do this. While I was told no, I received notification a few months later that they, in fact, had a data breach!! 3. Sent out bank checks to my vendors for on-line bill pay. Checks were never received by the vendor. I received late charges and my credit report was downgraded. Now they have infiltrated our personal accounts: 1. We scheduled a payment to AAA for our homeowner's insurance due on 10/22/2025. Their bill pay department sent a bank check instead of using ACH and, as of this date (11/6/2025), AAA still has not received our payment. A. We received a discount for paying in full by this date (so that is now null and void). B. We are in jeopardy of losing our homeowner's insurance for non- payment. C. Our credit score has been affected by this past due amount. So very sad to see such a great organization go from first to worst. I don't know if they have changed management or what but whatever they have done has damaged their organization and philosophies. I will be contacting all of the people that I have referred to DFCU over the years (and there have been many) to let them know they need to look elsewhere.

2nd review... Just spoke with a 2nd rep at DFCU…read more.. It appears all DFCU folks that answer the phone in the loan dept are all trained the same way...RUDE, MEAN. UNHELPFUL, and they behave as we are bother them...WOW!!! Bank elsewhere!
