I have done the Canadian Transportation Agency for flair with successful outcome, dm me on instagram if you need help!! I've used in Dec 2022 and more recently April 2026. In Dec 2022, I was very lucky to board the F8500 YFK TO YVR and F81501 from YVF to YFK(Waterloo airport). With a ski bag, boot bag and personal bag Lucky is an understatement, I was grounded for a week along with many other flights and fortunately YVR airport stepped in to compensate hotels, meals and transit because Flair Airlines was not providing any compensation or accommodation. In this same flight, I took on a ski bag that was only used for one other trip and a boot bag. I even stored my helmet in my boot bag padded with towel. My ski bag was ripped and my boot bag was also damaged, along with the helmet being crushed. There was a big dent. After 3 years I did get a resolution with Canadian Transport Agency for my ski baggage refunded, the compensation for a new ski bag and compensation for a new helmet. I didn't both with the boot bag- it was old. In this experience I found severe inconsistencies with handling ski bag and boot bag. Flair YFK expected me to duct tape the boot bag with the ski bag. And truly before leaving I did try to get clarification as some standard ski bags only have room for skis and poles. While at YVR. they did a quick test on the skis (not sure what) and away I go in the oversized section. So after being stranded for a week with excessive wait for Flair to go on repeat cancel flight then reschedule a week later I took a break from Flair. In April 2026.i took it to YFK TO YYC and YYC TO YYZ with a ski bag and a personal bag , I decided to give it another try, one thing is that going from YFK would save me the transfer time to Toronto Pearson airport. This time at YFK I wasn't asked to duct tape my boot and ski bag INTERESTING! So this time, I took a roller style where I placed two boots and one ski in one bag and a second bag to carry another set of skis. In the bag, I carried another ski bag for the boot just in case I got separated from my travel companion. It was easy breezy but the personal bag size limits POST flair bag sizing scandal was a bit sketch and heavily enforced. So much that they are tagging carry on and personal bags. On the return from YYC to YYZ, I watched another patron with a ski bag and a standard boot bag (side hang mount with space for helmet, snow pants and snow layers), have his content ripped apart. Understand that if you are skiing, you will also be carrying long johns, extra layers, ski jacket (built with arm ventilation and snow skirt), snow pants (with vents potentially) and a person may have a conventional jacket depending time of year. While I didn't have issues, there is a severe inconsistency and I dunno if he just had a hard time because the patron was not familiar that you can't fit boots in some ski bag configurations. And while the website doesn't specifically say restrictions for ski related clothing- there shouldn't be much of a restriction. I should mention snowboarders have but pads, elbow pads, knee pads- and some pants are built in with the ppe. My travel companion got dinged for $100 just carrying a standard puma bag- usually around 6kg with a Mac book and some light clothes. IF HE DIDNT PAY THE $100 he would not be allowed to board the flight is what he shared with me. The competitor Air Canada was running flights around mid-$500 to $600 and with my branded credit card I get two checked bags. So $420 vs $600. I'm not sure it's extremely worth the hassle with the additional fear of being surcharged. Overall in 2026 the difference with handling is that flair offers a $60 credit if they are delayed up to one hour. YFK to YYC I found my wait time 50min, not enough to get a credit. I also found that each reservation was made separately and this resulted in randomized seating-some children separated from their kid. I also noticed a credit card charge applied on reservation- so debit saves you- but then you can't use the benefits for flight delays and travel interruption. The change fee was $190 for me to change my return fromYFK to YYZ, because change was within 7 days. Overall lots of anxiety travelling with strict personal bags. You sort of have to make sure your destination has washing ability because you're packing lighter. Overall travelling with a ski bag with boot bag or all in one roller is possible but I have overall anxiety. I certainly don't argue that my flight with ski gear was around $300 per person and I added a $190 change. If I used Air Canada, I would be charged similar unless it was a point redemption then I have 24-48 hours to refund the points and taxes. I should note that the flair website restricts one set of boot and ski per passenger while paying for checked baggage with air canada you can fill it with as much skis- so I usually throw all the skis in a standard roller and boots in a hard case luggage. read more

Dehumanizing experience at the gate. Agents were measuring everyone's bag and it was no exaggeration that at least 1/3 of the flight were on the floor putting on their extra clothing to reduce bag size. What did I see after the second measure? Everyone putting their clothes back in the bags... All airlines have some leniency but not Flair, especially when it's rumored that agents get money for every carry-on upsell. Never flying with them again. read more

Had an easy experience flying to and from Canada with flair. Just follow the rules stated online when booking and you won't have an issue with bags etc. keep in mind at Edmonton airport there is a different check in for flair domestic and a different counter for international flights. It's not too clear. Staff is pretty serious but they probably deal with grumpy travelers all day. Lines seemed to move quickly. Flew with them twice and had no cancellations or major delays. International side they only have Starbucks, a pub and chilis no Tim Hortons unfortunately. read more

I had to cancel a booking within hours after I made the reservation. Initially the customer service person on the phone said I could get roughly 50% of my money back so I said I would call back after reviewing with my supervisor (work flight). Except when I called back they were completely changing their mind and said I could not get any money back. I asked them to review the recorded audio conversation and they would not. I asked if there was any way to meet in the middle since I was already only getting 50% back... they would not. It was a very sad experience. No customer care whatsoever, zero accountability even if the original customer service person misspoke. Flyer beware! Cheap a$$ airline will nickle and dime ya all the way to the gate. Paid for a carry on, however the measuring device at counter will maybe allow a briefcase to fit. At gate it's another $50 on top of the carry on fee. Note- pay for the checked bag fee it's cheaper online as per the gate agents. This airline sucks worse than Spirit in the states. Total joke of a company and super non transparent. They will get blood from a turnip Foresure! F this airline. Don't be fooled that your roller carry on won't fit, they make you check your bag even though it will fit in most of their planes. First time booking tickets to Canada, I was assigned to fly with this company that I never heard of, but it seems like a deal comparing to Air Canada, so I decided to go with it, as I landed in San Francisco airport, I looked on the board for my flight with Flair but nothing showed like my tickets indicated at 9 AM boarding time, instead I saw Air Canada to Edmonton at 11 AM. I didn't assume that was the right flight, but still neither the airport nor my itinerary can confirm about the boarding gate, yet the flight still said on time without any changes. Finally I did my own research on Google and found out Flair is located at International Terminal Gates B, I took a screen shot of it but still had doubts, because my time was running out, but I didn't have a choice, not to stay at Air Canada gate, yet if my instinct was wrong I could miss the flight too, I decided to travel by foot to International Terminal, and yes the board over there did show my Flair flight, what a relief. I also found out that it is a very small operated airline which using smaller aircrafts to travel to Canada, why are they still in business, I have no idea, I got on the plane, my seat was 33, as I sat down I saw all the seats cover on that row said Do Not Occupy, I was a hit confused until flight attendant told me the seats were damaged and they upgraded me to 12, almost front row, yet this airline was so cheap they could not serve anything for free during 3 hours flight, no snacks, no drinks, storing overhead was too small, their seats didn't recline back, they also had a whole food menu with pricing indicated, I mean they spent enough time to create a menu, but they don't actually give you to try any of those for free, when I flew on any international flights in the past, even if it was 1-2 hours duration, they still gave you something to eat or drink without charging you, it is just too many holes that beyond fixing here, plus countless bad reviews on Yelp. Just imagine today I was not the only one who checked in online with Flair and received my boarding pass with no gate, no help, no communication whatsoever, it would be at least 10 people will not make it to the plane on time, and I can confirm that before departing the pilot did announce the number of passengers didn't match, he was waiting to see the headcount would change but maybe people just gave up hopes finding the gate destination. I took Flair Airlines YYC-YVR 19Oct24 and return YVR-YYC 28Oct. The price was right. I didn't check anything, no additional carry-on. Beware, they have you slip your personal piece into a metal slot. If it doesn't fit - you pay them more $$$. The check-in agent at YYC was so rude, a complete jerk. With that attitude, he wouldn't last at any other airline. I didn't pay in advance for my seat YYC-YVR. I paid for my return seat (learned my lesson). The computer then chooses a seat for you. About 100 people were crammed in the rows from 20-back. The middle section was completely empty. The inflight didn't allow anyone to move or spread out. I wore a mask. Advice: pick your seat in advance unless you truly don't care. It ranges from $16 and up to $36 if I recall. The seats don't recline at all. There's no inflight entertainment but depending on the plane, there are usb plug-ins. I don't care about inflight entertainment. They fly Boeing 737's-8/800. Good planes. No issues. The food menu is a gouge to the max. Eat before you get on the plane. Buy the TravelFlex for $10 if there is a remote possibility you'll need to change your flight. Avoid at all costs calling Flair's help line. These folks are based in the Philippines and the connection is awful, they are awful and treat request for changes like an auction. My change free start at $70 and by the time I kept pressing for the real price because I could see the price of the flight I wanted online, my add. coll. was $45. Once I told the agent I'm recording this call, complete backtrack. I will fly Flair again because within Canada this is the cheapest option. Good Luck read more

I was unable to select ZERO stars!! I would have!! In July of this year I booked a flight on Flair Airlines. The flight was delayed 5 hours by the airline. This delay made me taking the flight of ZERO value as I missed the meeting because of this 5 hour delay. This is NOT the problem ... I understand that these things can and do happen. The issue ... here we are 2+ months later and I have yet to receive my full refund. The airline is not disputing that I am owed a refund ... they have agreed I am. The refund has been in the "processing" stage for more than 2 months now. If you fly this airline it is simpler and quicker to just flush your money down the toilet. Never FLY FLAIR! read more

They're just a crappy airline and definitely not worth it. I am changing my initial review from 1 to 5. We have used flair a number of times since our first negative experience and now love it. I can book less than a week out and still get a great price. I'm never surprised by their policies. You want to board first you have to pay no surprises. When I can take a chance that a cancelled flight isn't going to be totally frustrating then I will use flair. But on that note between all of my family we've flown with them over 15 times and never had a cancelled flight. So yes it's a discount airline but I'm not flying to Europe I'm only flying about an hour and the price is awesome and they're very friendly. read more

Check in times are too long. The customer service is rude. Requested for wheel chair service, but was denied. Only received a wheel chair... had a lot of luggage with us... disorganized. Their attitude s u *ks and so was the inflight. One of their female crew members were a bit too mean to everyone. The rest of the crew was pleasant. Overall, will never fly with this airline again. Beware of Flair I booked a round trip flight from Edmonton to Vancouver with Flair Airlines through EDreams. I had heard negative reviews about this airline but had no personal experiences so I gave them a shot. The trip from Edmonton to Vancouver went well, other than the online check in system not working. It was no issue to check in at the airport. While in Vancouver I had to change my flight. I was changing it from a 6am to a 7pm departure. I was unable to contact anyone via phone, so it all had to be done online. While processing the change, and the reasonable fee of $51.45, I got a website error which said that the request was not completed and to try again. I went through the process of changing the flight online a second time. This time it went through. I checked my email and I had an updated itinerary.. for my original flight time of 6am. I checked my banking app and saw that I had been charged twice. The first transaction had in fact gone through, despite being told otherwise, as had the second charge. I had now been charged two change fees, and my flight was still the same. I emailed the airline twice and called 6 times but did not reach anyone. I chose to call when I returned home to request a refund, but in the meantime I wanted the security of knowing I had the correct flight. Thinking I would pay another $51.45, I went to change it a third time. For whatever reason, the fee was now $208.46. I still could not contact anyone. The flight had to be changed. Thinking this would be easy enough to get refunded considering the obvious mishap, I booked the flight. I ended up paying $311.36 to change my flight. The next day I encountered another change in circumstances and once again had to change my flight. The fee was $51.45. Reasonable. I closed the website, made a phone call to confirm the necessity of the change, and when I returned to the website the fee had gone to over $300. Once again, I could not get through to anyone over the phone or via email. I ended up booking an entirely new flight for $294.71, because it was cheaper then paying approximately $330 to change my existing flight. I returned home, and still have not heard back from anyone in response to my emails. I called the airline on July 16 and due to long wait times I requested a call back. There were 12 people ahead of me. This was at 1:10pm. On July 17 at 7:30am I received a call back, which I was unable to accept at the time. I called back that morning, and again requested a call back. There were 8 people ahead of me. I did not receive a call back. I phoned again July 19 and got through to a customer service representative. I explained the scenario to him, my inability to connect with someone, the fees which were acceptable, the fees which were unacceptable and why. After justifying the fees on behalf of the airline and contributing the mishap to user error, the representative said he was sorry to inform me that there was nothing he could do. He informed me that he cannot process any refund of any sort. I expressed that I would settle for a credit for another flight with the company. He was unable to process that either, nor could he explain why. I asked to speak to a supervisor or a manager. He took my number and said because they were so busy he couldn't get someone to speak to me in the moment, but that they would call me back. I have a feeling the supervisor or manager will handle the scenario similarly. Brush off the unjust charges, and be unapologetic for the treacherous customer service. Beware of Flair. Life is constantly changing, as are circumstances. Flair flight changes are not easy, nor are they predictable. The fees are not broken down simply or explained well. Contact with a human being is next to impossible. When you do make contact, it is in service to the airline, not to the customer. There is no understanding, no patience, no compromise and no willingness to work together to find solutions. There is the illusion that you will save money with Flair, but I ended up paying much more overall than if I had flown with one of the larger, more well known companies that actually cares about their passengers and the quality of their customer service. When i purchased my ticket i originally chose 11am and it got delayed from 11am to 11pm then 11pm to 12:45. Right when i got passed customs they switched the gate on me from 62 to 72 then they switched it to 0 then back to 72 so everyone was super duper confused and hammered drunk. Every time i asked anyone where my gate was and why it kept getting switched i got a different answer. One guy said to go the arrival section in indian i had to go to the lugage store and get a translator book which didnt have what he said so i just google translate it. I eventually got to the right gate, so i thought. I ended up on the 619 redeye to new york!!! How does this happen??? They need to check peoples boarding passes better. Flair LITERALLY got me lost in new york and it took sooo long that when i got there it was almost Christmas. It was freezing and sooo much snow. I kept running into these 2 thieves and they kept messing with me. So i had to boobytrap the airbnb. it was ridiculous. I ended up checking out Duncan's toy chest where he gave me a his and hers dove ornament and he kept one dove and gave me the other it was super weird. I met an awesome lady in the park that had tons of pet pigeons. All in all it was fine but flair pls let us know next time! Okay so things you need to understand when booking discount airfare: -old planes (no tv's - download shows before coming) - check yourself in or they will charge you $10/person to check you in and print boarding passes - All beverages/snacks on board cost money, but are reasonably priced if you forget to grab something at the airport - Some of the staff are very new to the profession so come with some extra patience on board ;) PROS: -Super Cheap (save my family of 5 thousands of dollars everytime we fly) -Cheaper than West Jet's Bereavement rates! -*** I left my phone on the plane and I had already walked out of the secure area before I noticed. I found a Flair employee standing around the luggage conveyer belt and told him what seat pocket it was in. He immediately radio's the plane. Unfotunately, the plane had been taxi'd away already. He gave me his cell number and the cell number of his colleague that was working the next morning. He said he would make sure they looked before it took off again. Flying with Flair Air was an awful experience. My luggage was lost from Vancouver to Kelowna, because they simply didn't put it on the plane. There is no one to contact or any acceptable response for customers whose luggage has been lost - they expect you to wait 5 business days to have anyone contact you, via e-mail only. This is simply unacceptable and irresponsible. I had to spend $200 replacing items (nothing covered or provided by Flair Air for this), making it a more expensive flight than flying with a reputable airline. I also lost a full day of holiday time, replacing items and trying to contact anyone to track down my luggage. I will never fly with this airline again, and will warn anyone I can against it as well. read more

Flair Airlines SUCKS! Don't use them. Use West Jet. Flair did not arrive on time and I was delayed for hours flying from YYZ--YEG. I had a flight booked tomorrow from YEG--YUL originally departing at 0730h. I got an e-mail earlier today stating that the flight online check in had been changed and the flight was now leaving at 1210h. When I logged into to Flair's consumer service bot (which is worthless, BTW) I was connected with (supposedly) a live agent. I posed the question of the above to her. Flair has ZERO sense of customer service. Here's the basic story: My elderly mother booked a last minute flight to Toronto to attend her brother's funeral. When she arrived, her luggage did not. Flair found it 5 days later. Here are the facts: -When we alerted Flair to the fact that the luggage had not arrived, they immediately denied any responsibility. They even suggested that maybe another passenger had taken it and therefore, it was not their problem (family was at the carousel and watched as the bags came out of the chute). -We enquired several times a day and Flair had no idea where it was. -Flair finally emailed 5 days later that it was ready for pick up at YYZ. -Flair would not send it to her destination in Toronto...she was told that she would have to pick it up from the airport because it was not their problem that the baggage went missing. I'm not sure who they blame here...it was in their possession, and then it wasn't...but they found it eventually....soooo? (and to suggest that a 75 year old lady with Parkinson's is going to pay for a cab to/from YYZ to pick up the luggage that Flair lost?!?! ). -There is no phone contact info on their website for baggage claims. We phoned the only number available and were told to use the "help" button at the bottom of the web page. -We were told that it takes 2-3 business days to get a response and that there is no phone help. -To be clear, missing baggage is not the issue here....every airline loses bags once in a while. The issue is the way that Flair does not accept responsibility for their lack of service (remember...you PAY extra to have them get your bag to it's destination!), and they seem to go out of their way to make a travel inconvenience into a non-resolvable situation. As someone who has travelled 20 weeks of the year, and been on a variety of carriers....budget as well as premium...I can confidently state that Flair has the worst customer service in the industry (and that's not exactly a high bar). I would suggest renaming the company "Fail-Air" You have other choices. Use them. read more

DON'T DO IT!! It's really not worth the cheaper rate, especially when Swoop is just as cheap and a million times better! We were notified 24 HOURS before our flight was due to take off that we were already delayed 1 hour (why would they not try and make this time up), we arrived to the airport, checked in, through security looked at the screen still 1 hour delay. We went to the bar to wait and then left as boarding was due to begin to find out there was another 2 hour delay. Once the gates were open for boarding the staff were extremely unprofessional and didn't seem to know what to do, it all seemed very unorganised. Once everyone was on the plane sitting anxiously to take off the doors hadn't closed, maintenance staff were coming on and off the plane. We finally got told that we might not be able to fly as they couldn't get the water running in the toilets. Finally they brought on some hand sanitizer instead. On the plane we heard so many people from a connecting flight complaining that they had already been delayed from their previous Flair Air flight and now again. Finally we landed, and then surprise surprise we had another wait 15 minute to get an open gate. We were told the carousel number to collect our luggage which was correct on the board, waited their for ages to find out that was wrong too they changed it with no announcement. We eventually left the airport over 3 hours late with no reimbursement. Return flight - everything seemed to be on time, which was great! Got to the airport, got checked in, through security to find again that we were delayed 40 minutes. Time was ticking close to the time of the gates opening, however the plane still hadn't arrived... it arrived one and a half hours late. Once we got on board, all the checks were done, doors were closed and we got an announcement to say that there might be more people boarding the plane and they are crunching numbers... this was another 40 minute wait to then take off with no more people coming on the plane. Extremely unprofessional, and extremely annoying! Never, ever again will I fly with Flair Air! They might be cheap, but I'd rather pay the extra and not have this frustration and actually arrive to my destinations on time. read more

Less than 24 hours before my trip, I was sent an email confirming my itinerary-- a different flight than what I booked, 9 hours later than what I booked. I was informed that the earlier flight no longer exists. Now I am explaining to my kids why they are losing a day of their vacation, trying to get relatives to stay up past midnight to let us in when we finally arrive at our destination, and hoping the rental car company can change our reservation. This was not what I planned to do the last day before my trip. I am a business owner and I understand that sometimes situations within a company change and that if there isn't a plane earlier in the day, there isn't a plane. However, to let people know in this way, so close to their trip, is not acceptable. They have also established their online presence in such a way that you cannot leave a Google or Facebook review. I haven't even left on my trip yet and I am dreading trying to deal with them at the airport and wondering whether my luggage will make it to Toronto. read more

This is by far the worst " airline" out there. We booked our honeymoon trip to Vegas months ago. Well we just received an email stating that our return flight has been cancelled. But please accept a 50$ voucher for our next flight with flair..... Terrible customer service, old and dated 737s, and now our trip is ruined. Oh we can rebook, however all the prices have gone up. Will never have a chance to rebook with these clowns as I'm sure within a year they will be out of business. That was sarcasm as I will never book with this junk low class carrier ever again. Flair is the worst airline I have ever flown with. Every single time I have flown with Flair, I have faced delay of more than 8 to 9 hours. Currently, its 11:16 pm (25th May) and I am waiting in the lounge at the edmonton airport for my toronto flight at 12:15 am (26th May) which was originally supposed to take off at 6:15pm (25th May) and then at 10:15pm and then at 11:00 pm and now at 12:15 am. Flair has no respect for others' time...Period..Even the staff at the flair counter seems to be highly arrogant and unapologetic. I and along with 50 passengers waiting in the lounge are praying that flair goes out of business soon so that it stops ruining people's valuable time. I will make sure that I do enough damage to your company's reputation that you lose every single customer. Needless to say, I would like to be heavily compensated for my lost time and energy. Good: ticket purchase price Bad: communication, customer care, not reliable, if there is an issue - god help you. Flight came in delayed - 1.5h June 23, Vancouver to Calgary. No communication or documentation anywhere. Gate info online and in airport did not match. Any info has to be double checked. Homepage is just bad. Had an issue with my luggage. Been trying for 1month now - calling EVERY day to get a hold of someone. No staff in the airport, nobody answers the phone or replies to Emails. Even at headquarters. I had an awesome experience flying with this airline! The plane was probably the nicest plane I've ever been on and I've been on a lot of planes! As long as you know what their guidelines are and you check their website prior to flying with them you shouldn't have any issues. My flight time had changed and they emailed me right away to let me know. This actually worked in my favour! The flight crew was so nice and super helpful, they warned that they were coming with the cart, not like other airline attendants that come barreling through! When I first got to the airport there was lots of staff to help check people in or answer any questions. I wouldn't hesitate to fly with this airline again! So annoyed with Flair! My husband and I flew with them on Dec 27. Upon getting to the airport our luggage was broken. After calling and emailing every few days for over a month I finally heard from someone who informed me there was no compensation and they would only pay the cost for our checked bag one way. I got what I paid for and just what I want. No frills option to get to the west coast more frequently. I travel light and have the proper luggage for overhead bins or under the seat. I don't bring liquids but I do bring an empty water bottle as most airports now have filling stations. The only thing is my return flight was moved a half hour earlier but I was notified so not an issue. I have two more flights booked and I'm hoping Flair makes because this works for me. read more

I can accept delays with valid reasons, I will not for excuses that keep changing and don't make sense. On our return flight from Las Vegas which was delayed in departing due to a late arrival of the flight from Edmonton. There were going to be issues in connecting to a flight to Winnipeg (which would be terminating there for the night). We received an email and verbal assurances that all passengers who would be connecting that the flight to Winnipeg would be held for us. It was our understanding that there were no less than 45 passengers requiring this connection. When we landed in Edmonton we had to make our way to the customs hall which was a five minute walk. Next we had to make our declarations, collect our luggage, present documentation to the CBSA officer at the exit and proceed in the terminal to the Flair Airlines check-in counter. Here is when it started to go sideways. We get to the counter and the staff had no idea of what was happening. They were not willing to accept our baggage and had a deer in the headlight look. That was the first thing that was frustrating, convincing them that we are connecting to the Winnipeg flight. Next, we were no sooner out of screening and on our way to the gate the overhead announcement "FINAL CALL FOR FLAIR AIRLINES" was given. We had to run to get to the gate, there were others still at screening and they contemplated carrying their shoes and run in sock/bare feet to get to the gate. Flair Airlines had no representative at the customs hall to inform or answer questions on how to complete the connection where baggage was concerned. Their counter staff's unwillingness to initially accept the baggage was dubious at best. No one on the airside of screening to aid in giving direction. No sooner after getting onto to the plane and seated with other connecting passengers on board they pulled from the gate. The big question was whether the baggage made it on the craft, which it did considering the short amount of time from counter drop off to when the plane pulled back. I can say that the passengers didn't doddle and in fact myself included didn't even stop for a washroom break. Another issue was changing our original booking from a direct flight to a connecting flight which was a bit of a pain as it forced us to make changes to other bookings. I should also mention that the flight from Winnipeg to Edmonton had no potable water in the front washroom. The return flight from Las Vegas had no potable water to the point that they couldn't serve coffee. Our first clue should have been when the pilot got off the plane and purchased two trays of coffee to take on board. Though the flight crew were professional I find that the airline has a level of disconnect with their customers. I had to force the issue of what occurred with Flair Airlines. Initially they were curt and defensive until I detailed what we had experienced then and only then did they acknowledge that there were shortcomings would attempt to address it. Will I fly Flair Airlines again? NOPE. I understand the premise of the business model but they lack in decency and respect to the traveller. read more

We had the worst experience with Flair Air. Don't let the cheap ticket fool you because it's anything but that. My wife and family were travelling from Vancouver to Calgary on our way to a funeral. The day before my flight I had my wallet stolen. It left me with very little ID. I brought my birth certificate and my marriage certificate. My passport had expired but I brought that to. They wouldn't let me on the flight. I had to send my wife and kids and I took a Westjet flight later that day with zero issues. Returning home they had apparently cancelled my flight and told me I didn't give them 12 hours notice so I had to buy another ticket. Apparently this is their policy. This was never explained to me and they were very rude and showed no compassion. I would never fly with them again. By the way Westjet was amazing. They even gave me a discount on my flight as a compassionate fare. read more

Flair call lines are a mess. My son booked a flight but choose wrong time by mistake. Rules say free to cancel or change within 24 hours but after 5 hours on hold they still wouldn't honour the rules or now even cancel with a fe w. What a mess! Will never book with them again read more

Please do yourself a huge favor and avoid Flair at all costs. Flying home from Toronto to Vancouver, we made a stop in Edmonton. While we waited for more passengers to board, we were told we could not de-plane because they wanted to save time, as we were delayed leaving Toronto. Great! After fifteen minutes, the crew abruptly told us it was time to get off the plane. After getting off the plane, we learned that the plane was experiencing MECHANICAL FAILURE, and the flight was cancelled. There were no more flights leaving Edmonton to Vancouver that evening, so after waiting in a line for over two hours I received a hotel voucher. Flair could not fly customers out until FOUR DAYS LATER, so I purchased a $600 flight with Air Canada home the next morning. Flair offered absolutely no food or beverage vouchers, and stated that the food services in the airport were closed (they were not). They thought that waiting FOUR DAYS to fly out was reasonable, and offered no compensation for the flight I was forced to purchase to make it home for work. This airline is a joke. Also, the additional hidden fees, ancient fleet of mechanically decrepid planes, and the fact that they CHARGE FOR WATER during the flight...god. I cannot stress how terrible this experience was. read more

Just to let you know. Booked return flights from Edmonton to Kelowna . Flight out right on. very good. Boarding passed from home and knew were we stood with the baggage and prepaid for seats both ways. Trouble in Kelowna. went on line day before flights and was told I had to go to agent at airport and get seats and boarding pass. This airline will dollar the public to death before it gets real. charged me for the boarding passes and then said , we put you together after I had paid for the seats.Cannot get through to Flair. This airline is a scam. On paper it's cheaper, but it's not until you're about to fly do you realize you have to pay for a carry on item. 50 at the counter 30 if you do it online. Customer rep at the service counter didn't even bother to advise by purchasing "checked carry on luggage" would be cheaper. Fly west jet. Don't fly flair. Even water costs money on the flight lol read more
