Great and beautiful pups with a great temperament. I got my boy Finn after losing my previous dog suddenly. I was missing my walking buddy terribly and I decided I needed to find another sweet and lovable companion. After awhile of searching I found Flaming Dill Ranch and I couldn't be happier. My boy might only be 5 months old but I can tell he'll be a great companion for the rest of his life. For better or for worst, I now have a furry shadow and I won't have it any other way. Finn is very mellow but ready for anything on top of being very handsome and smart and always wants to be with me. He's striking blue eyes and beautiful markings catch a lot of attention when we go out. I often have strangers approach me just to compliment him even during the pandemic. Though he's shyer than my previous dog, he comes out his shell more and more with every outing we go on. I have no doubt that as we continue to go on more adventures that Finn with quickly grow out of his short lived shyness and be the life of any party. Even now he might be a little nervous about a new environment, but he recovers quickly and starts exploring. Great with kids and other pups and very patient not to mention travel size for your convenience. I took him on a plane when he was 4 months old (as a carryon) and he was very well behaved. He did not cry once and loved to people watch. Though I could say more, in short, I've very pleased with Finn and Starr stands by her pups. Her contract shows she puts the pups best interest first which is a sure sign of a good breeder that cares for her dogs. 10/10

I could not be more pleased with my experience buying a puppy from Flaming Dill Ranch. I am so glad I called them. In short order Starr made me feel like I was talking to an old friend. There was no question she didn't answer and then some. I knew I found the right place to buy my puppy. The puppy arrived with a carrying case, food, toys, a blanket and potty pads. Everything needed to take him straight home and need nothing. Oh and if that wasn't enough she personally flew from Texas to California to bring him to us and make sure his travel was safe and comfortable. I only wish there were more than 5 stars to give. Trust me when I say don't look anywhere else. Flaming Dill Ranch is the place to buy your next puppy. read more

Starr was amazing to work with. She was responsive and so polite and took the time to explain the process. We live in a different state than where FDR is so I was wondering how I would get the puppy. To my surprise she said she delivers and that made everything so much easier. She flew with the puppy in her lap personally.. She kept me updated every step of the way from when she got to the airport to when her flight was delayed to when they landed. When we met her at the airport she had a bag of goodies, a carrier, and all the important papers. She took the time to talk with us with tips and answered any questions we had. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Our puppy is healthy and so cute. We are just so happy. We definitely recommend FDR. read more

We purchased our puppy from Star at Flaming Dill Ranch several years ago, our puppy has grown into a wonderful companion, so smart and affectionate. Since then we purchased another puppy from Star and have been very pleased with her as well. Star breeds top notch puppies, she loves her dogs and puppies. Flaming Dill Ranch is more like a family than a business. Since I first met Star, even years later if I have a question, Star is my first thought of contact and she is always willing to help or and super advice. I would and have recommended Flaming Dill Ranch for anyone looking for a quality pup from a great family. read more

I was searching for an Mini Aussie puppy and thought I had a found a good breeder and come to find out that I did not. She came to me with a horrible yeast infection in her ears. I paid good money for my baby who is the sweetest dog ever! However at 9 months old she started having (Bilateral patella luxation). Which is where the Kneecap cannot stay in place and pops out causing the dog great pain. She saw two vets! one in the local area and other in Fort worth, Texas. They both confirmed that it is a genetic condition. My dog was a cross out of her retired Stud "Rodeo" and female was either "Hope" Or "Faith". I contacted the breeder asking for my money back to put towards her surgery which will round up to 8,000 Plus dollars. She avoids contact and claims she has never heard of this condition in dogs which does not make any sense if your truly an educated breeder. Well after obtaining scans of my baby we found out that her confirmation is off (Bad breeding) and she is also bow legged not helping the situation! Her ACL was torn due to all of this going on. It's in both hind legs so she basically would end up collapsing and being in extreme pain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BREEDER. If she really cared about this dog she would have given back some fraction of the money and would stop breeding both of the parents which are related to others in her breeding program which could pose more health issues. A HEALTH CERTIFICATE WILL NOT SHOW THIS! BEING A RESPONSIBLE BREEDER MEANS NOT BREEDING BEFORE THE ANIMALS ARE 2 YEARS OF AGE. If you wait till after 2 .. you will know if these type of issues would occur. Update (Dec 30th) Sense seeing starr's reply I will be getting veterinary paperwork together and getting it sent to her address of both veterinarians. Also I will be collecting the billing and sending her the cost of these surgeries and their educated findings on how this could be genetic. The floor of the gator is less than a foot off the ground so her putting her front legs on it should not of caused this. I wanted to handle this VIA TEXT and being personable but I will be sending things to prove my findings and will update with photos of my puppies surgery and recovery. read more

this is my first review ever. i have purchased several Aussies from Flaming Dill ranch. They are wonderful dogs and very well balanced. Starr is true to her word when she states that she takes care of her dogs even after you have purchased them. unfortunately, our family was not able to keep our last dog because of issues in our pack, and Starr was extremely helpful throughout the devastating process of returning him to her. She truly cares for all of her dogs. I very highly recommend her. Both for her dogs, as well as her professionalism. read more

We just had a very positive experience getting a puppy from FDR! Starr responds to messages in a timely manner. The contract was very professional. The exchange was not rushed. Star spent time talking with us, answered questions and offered advice. Our puppy came with health certificates and other important paperwork/vaccination records. We also received a really nice bag full of goodies - nice toys and supplies. Not only is our dog beautiful, she's a wonderful addition to the family. I highly recommend Flaming Dill Ranch Aussies if your looking to add a MAS or toy to your family! read more

I felt compelled to write a review after reading the negative review for Flaming Dill Ranch more than a year after I purchased my sweet boy, Jeter. I just want it to be known that I had the pleasure of living close enough to FDR to pick up my dog in person. These dogs are on a beautiful piece of land, cared for to the highest standards, and very well socialized. I will never forget seeing my little guy sitting and looking out the door at me while I pulled into their driveway. I received a freshly bathed, fully vaccinated puppy. I cannot express how grateful I am to these people for providing me with an exceptional animal. My dog is the smartest, most even tempered, healthy, gorgeous boy and brings me more joy than I can put into words. He is a mini, but he is pretty big for a mini, and you know what? That's perfectly acceptable because you cannot guarantee the size of a full grown dog when they are puppies. Just like no one knew I would be so short when I was born. I would recommend them 100 times over and if I had a bigger place to live, I would buy all of the dogs from this breeder. read more

We have had our two Mini Aussies for going on 6 years. They have been in perfect health and very loving and loyal to the family. They are working dogs so you must be willing and look forward to them exercising especially with each other. Their names are Skye and Scout. All dogs are different even twins. Size varies height, weight, hair texture and gladly personalities just like humans. Example we know is an outstanding young man whose parents are small people yet he is 6'6 280 and plays left tackle for Clear Creek H.S. Oh and very smart of course highly recruited. He will be attendingt Alabama next year lucky them. Summation dogs vary from humans by only 6% DNA. Breeding can only guarantee genetic disease purity. Our dog's brothers were blue eyed Merle. Ours are tri female. God only puts his expertise on what a person or animal will be. Breeders control breeding restrictions on what phenotypes are controlled by the AKC regulations for breeding American Shepards which is the correct name for Mini Aussies. If you are investing in these dogs know the details and requirements. They are attention grabbers even more than exotic cars so know your details if you are lucky to own some of them. I suggest siblings as they much happier are work in detail with each other even more than with their master. They communicate wirelessly and if you work at it you can tap in but it takes vigilance and concentration to keep up with the code as they are very keen to keep other dogs from deciphering it. Enigma was child's play compared to these brains. Don't worry about size etc. keep up with preventive care and only feed the highest quality food you can afford and don't vary with treats and human food etc. Their stomachs and systems are very sensitive. Don't buy a Bugatti and worry about the he gas mileage. For the guy wanting a little teacup dog. Get tea cup Manchester Terrier. Lovely cute smart love able glean much attention. You can get one through their breed rescue because they like other tiny dogs have tiny storage tanks and will pee and poop all over your house. They are like most dogs bread to do a job and poop in caves or where ever they work. Dog ownership is parallel to being a parent. Can't predetermine as it is impossible. I think we paid about the same adopting our son and our dogs. Responsibility is a larger kettle of fish than any thing you can imagine. Children and all living things wii bless you and make life worth living. Listen to God the most and you will have love and become extremely compassionate for all living things. Feel free to call me if you are thinking of a Mini Aussie adoption or owning Yorkies or Springer Spaniels. My springer besides my wife was the most loyal love of my life. Mike Huggler 281-853-4569 Houston Texas. Remember to pick up the poop where ever it is. read more

My husband and I were looking for a toy Aussie for my Mother's Day present. I just wanted a pet. We went the weekend before and I had my heart set on getting one of two dogs that we saw on their website...Dallas or Blackjack . Well, right off the bat Blackjack ran up to me - I had no idea it was him at first. I just know I was in love because he chose me and I chose him. Blackjack has been a joy to our family. In fact, he completes our family. We could not be happier. I must say that all of their dogs/puppies are very well socialized as infants. They are incredibly friendly and relaxed with people. When we brought him home he easily won over our 6 year old dog and our 4 cats. He loves kids, too. I am so happy with Blackjack. There is not enough good things I could say. Starr was VERY knowledgeable about all of the litters. She listened to what we wanted in a pet and got a puppy that fit our family perfectly. I highly recommend checking them out if you are interested in adding an Aussie to your family or to show. The bloodlines are outstanding. read more

We got a little boy from FDR this year, and the experience was perfect. Starr Dill is incredibly knowledgeable and caring with all of her puppies. When we arrived we were so excited to see more than 30 of the most perfect toy and mini Aussies anyone had ever seen. And Starr could point to any one and tell it's name, birthdate, parents, and describe its personality! We wanted a very high-energy male toy, and that is exactly what he has grown into. I've had Aussies in the past, but have never been around any that are this great with people of all sizes. They do such a great job socializing these pups from birth that they are so loving and friendly with everyone, and so smart. When we decide to expand our family, we will not talk to anyone other than Starr! read more

We have had 2 wonderful experiences with Flaming Dill Ranch. Our first mini Aussie was brought home 4 years ago and Leia has been the best dog we have ever had. She is the sweetest, smartest dog and fantastic with my grandchildren. The experience had been so positive that we added a second Aussie from them a year ago. Hiccup is a toy Aussie on the larger side and is our clown. He is so much fun. He keeps us all entertained. He is smart and easily trained like his sister. I can say 2 things with certainty. I will always have an Aussie in my home and they will always come from Starr Dill. I have been to her home on both occasions to pick up our puppies and saw the love and care she takes with all her dogs both parents and their puppies. read more

My sweet Whiskey boy is getting ready to turn 3! Starr was very accommodating for when I wanted to come pick out a puppy. I told her I was looking for a Toy/Mini Aussie for potential breeding and she was very helpful with my selection (although very tough because they were all so wonderful). She showed us around the ranch and introduced us to some of her dogs. You can tell she takes pride in her stock and they are all family raised! Whiskey was healthy as can be and has a great personality. Since then she has been a wonderful resource for answering questions as I have now gotten into breeding and showing. Not all breeders are kind and helpful with good dogs, but FDR Aussies is one of them! read more

We drove to Forestburg to pickup our first little fella, Obiwan, a blue merle toy. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and housing for the daddies, mamas and puppies. We were so delighted with the breed and how socialized he was when got him home that about one year later, we decided to get another and then went to get Princess Leia. She is a red Merle mini and was a wonderfully healthy and sweet little girl! Our two play together all day. Each came home with a bag of extras compliments of Starr. The paperwork was all in order and ready for registration. We love our Aussies and appreciate so much the follow up Starr has provided since our purchase! read more

Well then stop lying and be honest I wouldn't have even PUT UP A REVIEW IF IT WASNT FOR THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE OF BUYING A DOG AND I AM SORRY BUT OTHERS SHOULD BE AWARE!! I love my dog I'm glad I have her but take responsibility don't sit there and keep lying and making the buyer the bad person. It's not fair to a dog buyer and not good business. You charged me over 3000 dollars FOR A TOY and I received a mini Mind you Minis are half the price !! And she had absolute horrendous car sickness and when we tried to contact you, you blamed it all on everyone and everything. When we reached out to us you ignored us so we put up a review now you're upset. read more

Hayes/Bubbles turned 1 year old a couple of weeks ago. He is everything we were looking for and more. Outgoing, friendly with strangers and eager to please/learn. Exactly the qualities you hear about the Aussie breed having and what you hope for in every dog. We feel very luck that Bubbles is not "skiddish" in any way. If you look at Flaming Dill Ranch Reviews on Facebook it looks like none of her other pups are not "skiddish" either. That's why we picked FDR. Bubbles is very confident. Me and my wife are very active and Bubbles keeps up. Thanks so much Starr. Keep up the great work. We can't wait to add another little one to our family soon enough! read more
