The front office staff and the techs are rude and condescending. They don't accept responsibility for anything and it's your problem. They don't smile, don't welcome you, just sit down until we call you. They are owned by a corporation and they say they don't know who it is. First off, I have never written a bad review let alone a review in general based on bad experiences. Today we brought our fur babies to get their yearly shots/ wellness checks. Immediately right off the bat we were uncomfortable with the overwhelming feeling of unwelcome behavior from the vet staff. The receptionist said " what do yall want?", which we replied with "umm, we have appointments for our dogs to get their wellness checks" and she commented "take a seat". We proceeded to sit outside of the waiting rooms for more than 30 minutes when no one was occupying them. She then proceeded to say "it is time to weight your dogs" so we brought them over and she never once acknowledged the dogs, gave them pets, or helped try to make them feel comfortable. Then, were told to go into a waiting room where everything just spiraled. The vet tech came in and talked with us about prices and what we wanted to get versus what we didn't want to get (this is important stay with me). We ask for a itemized bill to be able to see how much everything costs (as this was our first time here) and the tally came to over 750 per dog, which is not bad with labs yet still steep. We then proceeded to go over what we didn't not need yet, as we would come back the following month for anything but the necessities that were currently needed. Everything seemed to be clear as day and understood so we thought it was going good so far. They then came to grab our year and a half old golden to get his nails trimmed and we heard them through the door talking about our dog saying " HOLD STILL" (yelling at him) as he was actively crying and yelping" when they returned our golden they stated multiple times that "maybe next time we should give him sedation/anxiety meds so he is calm" but we are against that due to how loopy it makes him for days on end but they never asked our opinion. Then, they grabbed our 6 year old border collie whom was actively refusing to go back with them, which he never did at the previous vet. I don't remember a time where I had to encourage one of my dogs to go with a vet at the doctor's office. After all the shots were completed the vet tech came in and stated "the doctor will be right with you". When she came in she didn't acknowledge our dogs much just went straight back to the medicating of our 1 and a half year old golden for nail care. She then proceeded to say, " by the way your golden got the flu shot by accident, the tech took it off on the computer but didn't take it out of the basket so I will comp it but I gave it to him. I am just curious... who doesn't double check medications or ASK if our dogs have allergies before GIVING THEM FOOD(during nail care/ shots as our border collie has a sensitive stomach)!!! She proceeded to tell us that she gave our golden shots in all four limbs (which he is now currently yelping and crying every time he moves) and I don't understand why they couldn't just do it in two. I really do not know what is going on up there we have heard good things from family members but now they lost our business between the rudeness/cold behavior right when we got there to the overwhelming feeling of being rushed and not cared about what so ever. I have never been so mad with an establishment due to the care of my dogs that we see as OUR children. It is sad to say I am beyond displeased and utterly disgusted. read more

I have had dogs all my life. This is the first vet I have been to that not only do I feel comfortable with but my pet does too! There is no anxiety going into the office, no nervous agitation while waiting to be seen, we were promptly put into a room to wait, staff is EXCELLENT and so kind! You can tell they LOVE animals!! Dr. Lipsey is just amazing and we love her!! Thank you so much for your kindness and caring demeanor, and giving our dog the personal care that you do!!!! read more

Please do not take your furbabies here ... this used to be our go-to veterinarian. However, times have changed. The vet that was there is no longer there and the new staff is horrible. No bedside manner, no customer service. Let me state that the receptionists were extremely nice and helpful, but I'm not paying good money just for the receptionists. First off, they made us muzzle our pets. Never before have I been to a vet where they required a muzzle. While we understand if the pet is showing aggression or has a history, they did not even take the time to greet and get to know our dogs. They said they had to be muzzled, handed us the muzzles, and stood by the door, halfway closed, until we had to ask for help because we had never used a muzzle on our pets before. Second, they did not take the time to even attempt to make our dogs feel at ease. No getting down on their level, no petting them or comforting them. Just put on the muzzle. Third, they removed our pets from the room to perform the labs and shots. Again, I understand that it is common practice to pull pets in the back to pull labs, but never for simple vaccines. Especially if your pet is showing signs of stress which the majority do when going to the vet. It is comforting for them, at least to a point, to have their owners, the ones they trust, in the room with them. When we asked if we could go with them, because of obvious stress, we were denied. Fourth, there was no follow-up with the actual vet. It was relayed through their vet tech. Never have I gone to a veterinarian, spent over $1000 for my two dogs, and not had a chance to speak with the actual person with the degree. We have a year 4-year-old and an 11-year-old dog which are our family as we are sure yours are as well. It's sad Wise Animal Clinic has been our go-to, but since the change, we will NEVER go back! They just lost business on our three dogs and a total of 6 more from our family members. We suggest that you HIGHLY that you do your research before you consider this as your veterinarian for your beloved pets. Please notice that all positive reviews are from 2021or earlier. read more

I am so happy I chose to take my Pomeranian here! I'm new to the FTW area and I thought maybe the 30 minute drive to this office was too much, but I made the best decision for my dog. The appointment was scheduled so quickly and the staff was so kind and understanding. They comforted and nurtured my Nutmeg during his shots and exam, they gave the best recommendations for my dogs care. I expected to be there for 2 hours but we made it out in under an hour and got good, clear, and easy to understand care/recommendations, they made us feel like we were the only ones there with such personal service. When I originally made an appointment for my dog Barkley at the Wise County Animal Clinic, I didn't really know what to expect. Barkley is a unique and special dog, because he has a strong intuitive perception. He doesn't really like to go to the vet, and he picks up on poor bedside manners and rudeness. I was impressed with the doctor and technician. Their approach, concern and care was genuine. I quickly picked up on their sincere compassion just by the attention they gave to Barkley. They talked to him, as I do, like he understood everything they said. When they finished, they brought him to me, and gave me a verbal summary and clear home care instructions. The doctor encouraged me not to hesitate to call if I had any concerns or questions. When we left, Barkley and I were very happy. Throughout the years, we've never received any substandard quality of care from any other animal providers and/or clinics. No one has been rude or obnoxious. The difference is how Wise County Animal Clinic and their staff went way beyond the call of service and probably didn't even think twice about it. The personalized get-well card that Barkley received the following week, written and personally signed by the doctor, was nothing less than PRICELESS!!!!! For this review, 5 stars is just not enough, but then again neither would 100 stars be enough! read more

I have been taking my dog here the past few months. The staff is friendly and very caring. The doctor is not pushy with his suggested treatments that your animal may need. They work with you and your budget and he wants what is best for your animal. Treated like family every time I have been there and everyone is welcoming. I would highly recommend. read more
