Talk about being caught off guard. I used to live in Enid but never been here before and I have to say I was shocked. Limited gravel parking and the entrance looks like a gymnasium door but don't let that deter you, this place is alright in my book. The bartender, waitress, even the cook was welcoming and lively! The lounge itself had plenty of patrons as they should because the prices were just right, the food was fresh, made in a timely manner, and it was good and filling! I got a double meat double cheeseburger all the way and an order of fries. Large portions all for under $11. I need them to move to the ATL because for the amount of food at that price I was in heaven before the first bite. The food though was where it was at. Fully cooked and salted fries, it matters more than you think and that burger took me a solid 30 minutes to eat because each bite was as good as the first, I just kept savoring it. 5/5 all the way! read more

These cheeseburgers SLAP. Easily one of the best cheese burgers I've ever had. Simple. Nothing special about it which is what makes it special. Just what a burger should be. This bar and grill has been an icon in Enid as far back as I can remember. I couldn't wait to be old enough to go in and get a beer and burger. Years later, I visited and took my husband so he could enjoy the famous chili burger. I even bought a t-shirt! The prices are really reasonable. I would come here before going to a chain for a burger. The beer is cold, the pool tables are ready for you to drop by and shoot a game or two. There was even a sign on the table boasting a hot link sandwich special. This go around, my sister and I took dad. He really enjoyed the chili burger. My sister left the chili and onions of of hers. I had a large glass of tea this visit. Next time I come in, I'm going to work KY way through the menu! read more

I went there last night. The food was hot, fresh and was amazing. The service was "okay" My server was nice at first then after she didn't em like she didn't want to be there. Made me feel like she didn't want to serve me, and I don't like feeling unwanted when I go out to eat. Which is sad because it was my first time here and it honestly might be my last. First impressions are everything to me and this was a bad first impression. I had to wait over five minutes for a new drink. I noticed my waitress was short lipped with the cook, and gave her attitude and I'm not going to lie if that was me I would have walked out. But the cook ignored her after a while, which seemed to upset my waitress more. There was heavy tension in there last night, and I feel like they really need to talk it out. As I was eating my boyfriend pointed towards the cook and server again and I saw the cooks back to the server while she was on the phone obviously upset. And the server yelled at her then stormed out - leaving us behind. A few moments later I went outside to grab my wallet and noticed my server talking mad crap about the cook. Something about not doing her job and how she is this and that. And I don't feel like that is right. So in short if that is how she talks about workers I can only imagine what she says about customers that upset her. I'm not coming back, and I honestly don't recommend anyone else to come back either. They need to work out whatever is going on away from customers, because her walking out on all of us was unprofessional and unacceptable. If I was the manager she would have been written up. If a zero was an option I would have chosen that. I was a weekly customer until the switch in ownership. Since the change I have tried eating there multiple times and each time has not been an enjoyable experience. The wait for food is like a 5 star restaurant wait, but it's fast food. This is definitely a dive bar. The burgers were surprisingly tasty though. Chips are the only available side item, and one can order nachos as an appetizer. Although the service was fine the waitress did seem slightly overwhelmed with the number of customers. The parking situation is less than ideal. They have a small one way lot which empties into a dirt alley which can be treacherous to navigate in wet/raining conditions. The parking lot on the other side of the building had towing signs all over, so be warned. Although I enjoyed my burger, I will likely not return a second time. They are kid friendly and have a few arcade games in the facility. The prices are cheap. We fed a group of 7 (including kids in that number) for less than 50$. The atmosphere is a dive bar. Dark dingy with holes in the walls. Although I dont prefer that environment some others may. I was debating between 2-3 stars. One star for the burger, one star for the service, and one star for the price. read more

Greasy dive-bar with subpar chili and ok burgers. Always dark and stuffy, lit by the gentle glow of a chip-warmer. The place looks hazy and almost otherworldly, like it hasn't changed the entire time it's been in business and the patrons have never left. When you walk into the Flamingo Lounge you are stepping through a time portal, back to a time when the neighborhood bar was where folks went to have a few cold ones and socialize. It is a delightful slice of Americana that harkens back to a simpler time when such things as route 66 were flowing with families on vacation. First and foremost the Flamingo is a beer bar plain and simple, nothing else. It also happens to be the best place that I've been for a good well seasoned greasy hamburger and fries. Pretty simple fare from a simpler time done very very well. So if your looking for a nice little place to grab a burger and have a cold beer or two, you'll love this place. I've gone to the Flamingo about 20 times in my life, and every time I go, it's never a bad time. When you walk in, you're greeted by the sight of an old, beat-up ice machine and an old man drinking a beer at the bar. I respect every aspect of this bar. First, the decor is something out of a history book. Neon light displays, the smoky look (even though it's non-smoking), the old booths, the pool tables, the shuffleboard table, the posters of old movies, clippings of old newspaper, Galaga and Pacman machines, the small, discolored menus, the peppy waitresses, and everything else. Next, the reviews about the food being too greasy, must not understand the concept of the bar. You know that you're eating delicious little grease-patties, and following up with a handful of potato chips, but you don't care because that's the kind of food that goes with the atmosphere. The final point, is that this bar is the pure essence of small-town Oklahoma. No televisions, no WiFi, just human interaction and fun all around. This is the ideal place for you to bring six of your friends, be loud, and socialize. I will continue coming to the the Flamingo until either the business shuts down or I die. read more

Solid dive bar. The food is simple: burgers, chili, chips, nachos. I would give the food 3 stars, but I really like the atmosphere, so that's why Flamingo gets a bump to 4 stars. Every time I've been here, I've had a double cheeseburger with grilled onions. They pack them in foil, so the cheese gets wonderfully melty and gooey. The burgers aren't thin, but not super thick either. A double is a sizeable burger. I find they aren't super consistent in the amount of onions you get. But, they are good grilled onions, add excellent flavor and they are cooked until soft, but not too soft. Also, they offer the large bags of chips for only a buck. Good service and a solid burger. It's not the best burger I've ever had by any stretch, but I've been back and will keep coming back. read more

This is a 4 star dive bar. You're not going here to eat a ground filet burger. I've been here twice now and both times had the chili burger...as stated in the menu, it's not opened faced. It's wrapped in paper like a normal burger with chili smeared over the top of the cooked patty-- like a condiment..but chili. It's awesome though! Soft bun, onions... it's perfect. Would be great with fries but they only serve chips here. You can also get nachos--think concession stand nachos...it's a dive bar though so lower your hipster "dive bar" expectations and you too will love Flamingo. There are some arcade games and apool table in the back. Parking is a bit of a challenge. If you park to the left of the restaurant, be sure to turn left and not right when leaving through the alley. Not only did we receive the wrong order, but when we called to let them know they had given the driver the wrong order, we were treated rudely, told they didn't have any DoorDash orders and wouldn't be doing anything to fix the issue. Been a 30 year patron of this establishment, went in yesterday for a small birthday gathering. It was our second time since the the new ownership took over. The Enid icon has went downhill at a rapid pace, after our first waitress left the service went to hell in a handbag. Mind you the place was dead, maybe 20 people total and we were there for 3 hours. Food was far from good, beer was warm and seemed flat, the place was just overall filthy. Pool tables are the worst that I have ever seen and there was 1/4 inch of dust on the walls. Staff became very rude as we were leaving, sad that it has gone into such a sad state, we were with another couple that had been going for 40 yrs and they won't be going back either. Hopefully they can turn it around, or sell it to someone who actually cares. read more

Came in for a burger and beer and came out satisfied. Fresh ground beef burger served with chips was a little on the small side but was very good. Our waitress was pleasant. I love the Flamingo! It is one of the most unique places I have ever been. If you have been there you know about the chips on the wall, pool tables and the 1980s video games that no one ever plays. There are very few food items you can order here, but then again everyone comes here for the burgers and chili. Maybe I'm the odd one out but the chili I got here wasn't all that great and the burgers were overly greasy. It was pretty dead in there when we went yet our waitress came to are table twice. Once to take our order and the other to bring us our food. Overall disappointing food and service. read more
