We decided to go back to the first Boomarang we ever ate at in downtown Enid. We have always had great service and inviting environment. Service was slow, took over 20 minutes to be approached by a server. Took from orders and the another 10-15 minutes before returning to ask if we were ready to order. Order taken and written on the servers hand. There was no pad of paper. Unfortunately there was a large table who have no idea what inside voices are and dominated the sound in the restaurant. Making it unpleasant. When food arrived it was what was ordered. Tasty as always. But warm not hot. One bad experience doesn't make it bad. But one table should not be so loud and distribute others. Dad told me about this place. It's just off the square downtown and it's a busy place for breakfast! The menu is in large letters so elderly eaters can read the menu without too much of a problem. The waitresses have a colorful variety of work t-shirts to wear. You can buy one if you like for $12! Dad suggested the Big breakfast. There is plenty there for $5.69. Reasonable. The waitress asked us if we wanted our biscuits grilled. Sure! When they arrived, it added a whole new dimension to biscuits and gravy! The frosty mug of orange juice, bottomless coffee and huge glass of ice water( complimentary water, I might add, the old-fashioned way!) Made my day. Good choice, dad! No wonder it is one of his favorite places to eat! read more

This place is a great road trip pit stop if you happen to pass through/near Enid. It's not a *real* "old" diner, but it's kitschy and fun all the same. All the usual suspects adorn the walls (Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, Marlon Brando) and many of their likenesses sport colorful leis. Kids meals here get served up in paper pink Cadillacs, and they even have a framed copy of Elvis's birth certificate hanging on the bathroom wall. The food is pretty legit if you go the comfort food route. Delicious chicken fried steak with cream gravy and Texas toast. And huge portions. Lighter fare seems a little more dubious (a side salad = a bowl of shredded lettuce with a bottle of dressing offered on the side... but hey, still tasted good!) read more

The hamburger/cheeseburger baskets are very good here! Amazing little diner that cooks your food after you order it! None of this pre-made microwave warm up stuff! Usually a friendly atmosphere with older music, and pictures of people like Elvis, Jerry Lewis, Marilyn Monroe, and a lot of others on the walls to look at while you are enjoying your meal! We placed a Togo order and were disappointed with the food. The chicken was raw, the 4 onion rings in the order were sad, and the tator tots were MIA. Asked for ranch and didn't get that either. A simple dinner salad, plentiful order of fries and Texas toast rounded out my tasty lunch, which I washed down with perfectly sweetened sweet tea. My only criticism is $15.72 for lunch (including a 15% tip) is a bit steep for lunch for one at a mom and pop. read more

Everything was perfect. We had the chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, Texas toast and okra. The food was great, the service was fantastic, the price was right. We both got sodas and drinks are important to me so I need to mention that the ice is that nice soft pellet ice (YAY) and when you ask for a to go cup you get a 32 oz cup which is nice. The wait staff works as a team to make sure you get your drinks, order taken and anything you'll need for your meal. They have the best breakfast in town, good burgers and yummy appetizers. This may be a chain, but they are THE place for a catfish dinner or catfish sandwich lunch in a lot of towns. Generous portions of really good Diner food. My sister likes their BLT. They may not be local, but they are a real Diner spot for a lot of towns. We had good meals at both of their Enid locations. read more

The shakes are good and the burgers are awesome. Some of the waitresses are great but if you go with kids, prepare to be ignored and put back by the bathrooms. Oh my It was my first time to try out their famous fried pickles and it was yummy! I tried boomerang breakfast at Oakwood location and I was a bit disappointed so I don't want to go back at all.
