Started off in room 16. Got settled in, turned AC on then went to go on bathroom and opened the door to see around 25 flies swarming the whole bathroom. They switched me to room 17. Checked bathroom and did quick look around, all seemed ok. Went to boardwalk for a bit and came back like 3 hours later. Went to bathroom to wash my hands in sink and the sink and wall are crawling with ants!!! I go to lift up toilet to pee and it's filthy with poop. I go to plug my computer in on side of bed and there's a dirty, GROSS sock on floor. I told Art the mgr about everything and he said any hotel / motel in Seaside has a big problem. This place was ridiculously dirty. Guy at front desk was obviously on something and could barely even speak to us properly. Beds had no sheets plus lots and lots of stains on the pillows and blankets. Couch was impossible to sit or put anything on by how dirty it was. Guy at front desk wouldn't even give us a refund. If I could rate this motel a negative I would. This place is DISTUSTING. This room was most definitely unsanitary. When we first arrived there was little to no parking, we had to park on the street. When we stayed here and there was stains all over the sheets as well as the room was invested with maggots and flies. The bugs were everywhere, and the bed was infested with bedbugs. I felt very unsafe with the fact that our door did not lock and the landlords were peering over our shoulders. The landlords were watching our every moves. Our toilet clogged for no reason every time, our shower barley worked as well as it was so dirty. The room had no toilet paper. The whole room smelt like someone smoked 4 packs in our room before arriving. We paid about $250 for a one bedroom and the room barley fit 2 people as it was meant for. The TV looked ancient and did not work. When we brought our friend in to use the bathroom we got yelled at for having one extra person just for a second however all the other people with parties and a lot of other people in their rooms did not get in trouble at all. I would never recommend this place to anyone, save your money and go to another motel. read more

Literally thee worst motel ever!! -Small ass parking lot - front desk person never at the front desk, inestead hanging around in the rooms with her friends. - tv didnt work -asked for a room with a microwave and it didnt have one - found a bug on the pillow - trash everywhere outside - pool was dirty and disgusting - ppl loud all night with the front desk person. Flamingo Inn Pros - [ ] Location - 2 blocks from the boardwalk. Very convenient to walk back and forth. - [ ] No bugs or smell - [ ] Art - the manager was very nice and eager to help you. Cons - [ ] The pictures online are not accurate. The motel has not been remodeled as we saw advertised. it is extremely old and in need of repair. - [ ] Angel - Art's helper or assistant was ignorant and rude. He sighed and made excuses when I asked for towels. He did not want to be bothered and it was obvious. Loud sigh and "give me a minute". - [ ] Room was beyond dirty. The carpet was stained and filthy. It hadn't been vacuumed or shampooed it looked like ever. - [ ] The walls were dingy and filthy. - [ ] The bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all prior to our arrival. - [ ] There were no towels, soap or extra toilet paper. - [ ] There was no hot water. At all. - [ ] The refrigerator had food in it from prior people and wasn't very cold. - [ ] The microwave was filthy looking like something had exploded in it. Not useable. - [ ] The a/c unit worked but there was a huge gap around it in the wall. We felt the hot air coming in so not very efficient. - [ ] The room door also was not sealed. You can see daylight all around it. - [ ] The pool area was full of trash and broken chairs and loungers and cigarette butts. The pool seemed clean when we arrived but was green the next day. - [ ] The "free parking" was limited. They let people block cars in. If you were blocked, you had to go to the office and tell them to have cars moved. It was ridiculous. We came from out of state to spend time at the shore and with family. We had no choice but to stay there as everything else nearby was booked solid. When we arrived "Angel" tried to tell me he wasn't expecting any other reservations that day and didn't have a 2 bed room ready. Art had him go "clean" a room for us. Obviously, Angel just didn't want to be bothered by us. Art explained that booking.com always overbooks the motel. I was left to feel "lucky" that he could get us a room even though we had our reservation for over a month. For 2 nights we paid $370 and it wasn't worth it. At all. Possibly $150 for 2 nights because of the location but that is all. We will never stay there again or recommend this motel to anyone. read more

If i could give this place zero stars i would! There were underwear in the drawer, dirt everywhere, food in the fridge not from us, nasty smells and stains kn the bed! Look, if you are coming to seaside and expecting Marriotts or Hiltons, you would be better off staying elsewhere. I think one of the most important factors when it comes to staying at these hotels in particular, is the management. I've stayed at other hotels here where the management was absolute shit and they do not care about your needs, but the Flamingo is different. Art manages three hotels in total, and he is there to service your needs. He is almost always there. The room I stayed in was a full bed with a tv that sits on top of a dresser. Bathroom was a bit crammed, and there really isn't much room to put your stuff. But then again, I was only sleeping there, not hanging in the room. It was perfect for my friend and I. Art has his washer and dryer running 24/7, so if you ever need fresh towels or washcloths, he is there to serve. I really don't have any complaints about the Flamingo. The only thing is that the parking lot is super crammed and small, so if you have a big car, be prepared. I'll be back!! read more

So I am cordial to saying I love the simple motels and love the fancy ones just as much. Sometime it's nice to stay in a simple place the flamingo tho dam there was bed bugs that bit me and my other half. I brought it to their attention and they switched my room to one that was apparently bed bug free lmao shall I say more!? But honestly #artstheman !! He's awesome read more

Motel is in a good location. Rooms are ok. Furniture in rooms is very old! Some have some don't. No towels in bathroom. Staff was nice. Beds are very old and are very uncomfortable! Holes in walls. Small apartment size refrigerator. Small microwave. Air conditioners are old and dirty. Nice pool but closes at 7 pm. Very early! No ice machine. Price is a little high for what you get but functional. Stores are within walking distance. read more

The room was small & smelly, the "double" bed was soooo small & the pillows were flat, you had to ask for housekeeping, the bathroom was tiny, but worst of all there was no wifi :( I give it two stars for having super friendly and helpful people running it decent cable & a nice pool. Look, My wife and I just wanted a cheap place to sleep for a spur of the moment cheap weekend get away. (BTW we are 50 just for reference) We weren't expecting much and got what we paid for. We got a really nice family owner who is clearly trying to bring the motel back. The rooms were medium size with a small bathroom only one person can be in and a medium fridge. The room and bathroom was clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable. The pool was there with no one using it and no chairs out for the guests. This is not for a family looking for a good deal, but maybe a couple for a overnight or two to save money to enjoy other things. It's only 3 blocks up to the boardwalk. They also advertised free beach passes which they didn't have after we checked in, but when I pressed them about false advertising they gave me a credit on the room for the amount of the pass. All in all, it was fine for a couple of nights and certainly exceeded our expectations (which were very low based on previous reviews). For us, its more about what we do in the area and not where we stay. We tend to spend less on hotels and more on dining and other things. read more

Since there isnt a zero star I'm just going to leave a 1. My husband and I stayed here over the weekend with our 4 month old and let me tell you this place was filthy. The floors were really dirty like they were never washed. The tiles in the bathroom were broken. The bed still had sand in the sheets and in the comforter. Everytime we opened the door the was a really bad smell on marijuana coming from another room. Another room had a large amount of people in it like they were having a party. Zero stars, for real. Firstly, there are better hotels that cost the same in Seaside. The nerve of them to charge anything above $50 for the night. The room was downright DIRT. TEE. Like, there was a lighter in the drawer... crack anyone? No towels, not even a wash cloth, and when we left to get a bite to eat, we came back and asked the "front desk" if we could have towels. The lady running the place mumbled some answer, which I asked her to repeat, and what I realized was that she said No Towels. No towels? I was dumbfounded. She was washing them. So, I used one of the pillow covers to wash my partner from my mouth. We were afraid to put our feet on the floor... hair and dirt everywhere. The tiles in the bathroom were loose and cracked. The shower was disgusting. Sure we could wash our hands, but there was nothing to dry them with. I've been to a ton of cheap motels... no judgement, guys, right?? But this place was the worst I've ever seen. Would not go back if given a free night. There's a hotel right next door... legit just pack up your crap and go there. read more

We went to this Motel on the 6/29 ; This Motel is not what shows on the picture . Is disgusting staring from the staff ( not an offense way but working for public there's got to be respect) , rooms are so filthy. I am not use to this but the pool was dirty and me and my husband try to have a good time even though we did not like nothing from that place. But what making me write this review is to advised the people not only because is in very bad conditions to sleep or have a good time is because we find out from our bank that out money was Stolen OUR Bank Statement SHOWS 3 TIMES MONEY WAS Withdrawn WITH OUT OUR Consent. This place was a hole in the wall motel, beds felt like cardboard, floors were dirty, walls and ceilings were water damaged, food in fridge from previous guest, smelled of weed and cigarettes everywhere, smoke detectors didn't work, no garbage cans, stained bedding and towels, pool was bright green. I can't believe my son ever stayed here. After the story he told me about his experience here I surprised he didn't leave right away. He told me that it looked like there was a cop and an under cover investigator parked outside. He stayed for 2 days with his wife and 4 month old child and said that he would rather cancel his family vacation then to ever resort to staying at this place. Tiles in the 3x6 bathroom were cracked and broken. The ppl's at the front desk first language was Spanish and could really understand what he was saying. He said he had to wash his feet b4 he put his shoes on to go to the board walk. He said he didn't even want to go into the pool. There were about 15 ppl just hanging out at the pool at about 12am. The whole area smelt like pot and he had a plastic window on the front where ppl would walk past. He almost called the cops that night cuz he didn't like the ppl smoking weed. He said that no garbage cans in the room and when he got there, there was loose trash everywhere, it smelt like a ny city subway. No towels in the room either. This really upset me cuz my grand baby was there. Someone really needs to do something about this place. Why haven't the cops shut this place down yet. All they would have to do is put an undercover agent in a room there to investigate the level of negligence this place calls care. I have half a mind to call the police, myself and raise hell just cuz my grand baby had to go threw this, and he won't even remember it, but I will. If the police, public service, board of health or good samaritan sees this post please act according because a business like this doesn't deserve to be able to operate. Thank you read more

the rooms are semi okay. sheets and stuff were clean but the floor was dirty. when we got here there were no towels or soap provided. microwave and lamp were broken but they were nice and brought us a new microwave. the people here are really nice despite the place. semi nice pool but slightly dirty but doable. what's crazy is that we ran out of toilet paper so we go to the main office and they told me i could use a towel bc they don't have toilet paper. what? and also the parking situation is extremely poor. they have eight parking spots for 20+ rooms. and it is extremely small. you can barely pull into the lot. read more
