The cell phone service is spotty, but there are tons of games, vhs tapes, and a jukebox to keep you busy.

The yurts are so comfortable, the surroundings well maintained, and there's a tranquility here I can't describe. It's almost healing. The road getting in is rough, but my prius made it. It may not have made it if it was raining or snowing because road is made of loose rocks and it's steep. There is spotty phone reception at best, even with wifi. I don't recommend trying to work remote from here. They don't allow pets, understandably so. The nearest restaurant is a rough and far road away, but they have a grill, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee machine. Bring food to cook and grill. This is glamping at its finest. They even have AC for the heat and a furnace for the winter.

We will go back as often as we can!! So very quiet, peaceful and relaxing that it is AMAZING!!

Whatever we needed or asked for they were ready to accommodate us. At one point we needed a gas can and they provided it. We got there late (10 pm or so), when the front office was closed. We called the phone number posted on the front door and someone came within 10 minutes to let us into the house we rented. We rented the Sears house. The place comes with a washer and dryer. This is great for those on bikes, this means you can carry less clothes and wash your jeans and shirts along with your "unmentionables" every night. Laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, and towels are provided. I would definitely return and stay here. We bought a few beers and relaxed at night. The room has satellite television which is great to watch the news and local weather daily. The A/C worked and cooled the house great. We ate breakfast at the local gas station down by Ozark. It was a great diner with big breakfast plates. The place is called Hillbilly Hideout. If you are on your motorcycle, remember that the ride up to the Sears house is tricky. There's pavement for a short stretch but then there's loose gravel/rocks. This can be a little difficult to cruise or ride on with two wheels. Makes your front wheel dance left to right quite a bit.

Extremely Disappointed - Unsafe Room Conditions & Poor Management…read moreWe stayed at Holiday Inn Express Van Buren-Ft Smith Area in July 2025, and it was an incredibly frustrating experience. We booked two rooms, but one had no working air conditioning, with 97° weather outside and even hotter inside, it was completely uninhabitable. We had an infant with us, and when we asked for help at the front desk, we were told no other rooms were available. So, our entire group was forced to squeeze into one room for the night. To make things worse, we checked in just before 2:00 a.m., and housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:15 a.m. because the front desk clerk checked us out 5 minutes after we arrived. The noise woke everyone, including our baby, after a long night of travel. I attempted to resolve this with hotel management. The front desk initially told us the manager would call us, but that call never came. When I called the corporate office myself, the manager argued with me and then hung up. Completely unprofessional. I've now had to dispute the charges with my credit card company because the hotel charged me for both rooms, including the one we could not use. Based on the poor service, unsafe conditions, and total lack of follow-up, I would not have anyone stay here! I expected better from Holiday Inn Express and IHG. I do not recommend this location. After reading several other reviews looks to be the MO for this location! RIP OFF!

This roadside 50's motel on Highway 23 is on the way to Eurcka Springs and about an hour from Crystal Bridges Art Museum in Bentonville. The room itself had a double bed , cable TV and air conditioning. The kitchen had a stove, microwave, medium size refrigerator freezer and dishes for serving food. The bathroom was efficient with a tub-shower, sink, toilet, and clean towels daily. There was plenty of hot water and soap and shampoo were provided. The TV was a 19 inch predigital type but with cable it didn't matter. My only complaint was there was no blanket on the bed between the top sheet and the bedspread. We had temperatures close to 90 so maybe this is standard during the summer in the south. There was also no Kleenex of any kind and we were only given two guest size soaps for our five night stay. One for the sink and one for the tub. By the fifth night the bar in the tub was barely visible and we had to use the one on the sink. I also wish they removed the kitchen trash daily. The medium size can was full to the brim the morning we left. Would I stay here againi? Yes. I would even pay another $10 a night for Klennex, more soap and daily trash removal. Don't expect the Hilton for the price, but it's cozy and the owners are friendly.
