There is a professional way to enforce rules, check IDs, and manage entry without talking down to customers or treating people like they are a problem before they even walk through the door. The attitude at the entrance immediately set a negative tone for the entire experience. Management should seriously address the customer service and communication skills of the door staff. First impressions matter, and in this case, the first impression was enough to make me not want to return.

Not to say that it doesn't happen, but we found that all the regulars were very nice and welcoming. We got the new member spiel with the rules and a tour so we knew how to behave.
