CHS has the WRONG move-in date (9th instead of 10th) again, charging us more!  Essentially, I paid close to $800 for what amounts to 9 days! I want my money back!! This situation is unacceptable!  We made it clear to CHS that at my son does NOT have transportation! Please correct this situation!  Neither Andrew nor I went to Houston only to be taken advantage of. I am very disappointed in this entire program.

To help our students prepare for life, prepare for careers and have a plan for their future. In our welding program we have over 150 years of combined experience. Our HVACR instructors are running close to that and our Auto and DIesel instructors run way above that. While some students may have some challenges with some instructors, thats understandable and never an excuse to have some attitude disparities, remember in life, you will deal with that, you will have co-workers and bosses that you will not get along with. With that said, I am very proud of our Austin team... we have changed many lives, and many many more to go. We are here to serve you and I know that we will always improve to be better for our current and future students and staff.

You can still work while in the program unlike lone star. It is pretty easy to study the material. If you're going into to LMRT program use the site called Purpose Games and follow KayMich! It helps a lot!! I will be doing the Online RT program soon! Now there was some confusion when the program directors were switched but it was pretty smooth. The externship placement was pretty stressful and finding a job was stressful. It took someone 3 months to reach out to help me find a job.

Very unfair and inconsiderate when it comes to students. She's been here for years so I assume my complaints won't be acknowledged, I'm sure I am not the first person to complain about her. Fortis need to do better and hire people who care about their students and aren't using their position unethically. She has made me very discouraged, and I am considering dropping out and finding another school. I haven't had any other problems with any other instructors other than her. My whole class complains amongst ourselves but no one wants to complain to the school. But I do not care, I took a loan out and I'm not getting the education I'm paying for. She doesn't follow the lesson plans that are in our modules, so we are unprepared for assignments. I think I'm going to have to drop out and go to another school because this woman is on a power trip.

The Careers office is focused on the other departments, and job fairs they host favor other industrial avenues at the school. The instructors will tell you the same thing, to apply to join the unions, and get your AWS certs from certified locations.
