This place is awesome! I've been looking for a good pool place for random hangout nights and to enjoy some drinks while I sharpen my pool skills, and flea whiskeys is the place! Be sure to check out their daily specials and take advantage of some of their great deals. My friends and I were able to go on Wednesday where it is free pool for students, with a Minimum $20 purchase at the table... Which is an amazing deal. Most bad nights then good.....My friends go for pool b/c it's close (evenings/nights)......always short staffed & veryyyyy slowwwwww, they make u line up for drinks & line is always long, no servers for tables.... half of my wings on my plate were undercooked & skin was slimy texture feeling, I had to spit it out. If I have an option for minus 10, I would. Went on a farewell lunch for a colleague and I came in almost 20 minutes later because of my lunch hours at work. A colleague made arrangements that I will be coming in later. However, to my surprise when I arrived the manager Daryl told me that I was late. I took that in as a joke. My food took 20 minutes to arrive and he served my food and again mentioned to me that I was late. I started getting annoyed and asked my colleagues why he kept on saying that? My colleague who made arrangements said that she did mention that someone will arrive 15 to 20 minutes late. As I looked at the time, I only have 15 minutes left to eat and get back to work, I decided to just have it packed and finish at work. Asked for a container and went to pay for my bill. The manager was at the cashier and then again mentioned to me that I was late after I made my payment. At this point, I had enough and told him that I was quite offended, because it is none of his business but so he know I did tell him that (1) he was informed I will be arriving later and (2) my lunch break is scheduled as such. That I honestly don't think I need to defend myself but I felt like I did. I asked for the manager, he said he was the manager so I asked for his boss. To which he said he is in Calgary and he will not give him his number. If I can give a minus ratings I will give one. I called in the evening and got the evening manager to which he gave me the owner's email address. To my dismay, after submitting my complaint, no apologies or response from the owner either. I never returned to that establishment as they do not care losing customers. We did our work Christmas party there in 2015 and 2016. MY colleagues who organizes out Christmas party stated that they also had a bad experience with Daryl. That's why we are not having out Christmas party in 2017. I was glad because I was planning not to go since I have boycotted this establishment. The horrible manager is still there and it is now 2018. Very disappointed with the service! I was at this place last month and the waitress was very forgetful. I assumed that maybe she was new and in training. It was a bit frustrating waiting for drinks and food, but I overlooked it. We all have to start somewhere right. I was there again last night and it was the same waitress. Still very forgetful. I ordered a pepsi and after awhile she came to the table and asked if we needed anything. I said I did order a pepsi awhile ago and she was very apologetic and said she had 4 but forgot where the 4th one went. She brought me a new pepsi and we ordered an appetizer. Another long wait and she comes to the table all apologetic saying that she completely forgot to put our order in. She did offer to give us free food, but at this point it was already so late in the night so we opted out on the food. I advised that maybe a pen and paper would help her and she said she does it off memory. That is the problem, she's so forgetful. I couldn't help but chuckle as from her own mouth numerous times to us and other customers around us, all evening all we hear is "I'm so sorry, I forgot". She said she didnt appreciate being mocked. She left our table and soon enough she brought our bill and said you guys are no longer being served and you need to pay up the bill. I really couldn't believe this. Not only did she provide bad service, but is now not doing it all. We got our bill quicker than our drinks and food. I really have never had this terrible of service before. read more

Flea Whisky's has quite a few pool tables and seatings in this billiard. It is generally quite busy over the weekends. If you're looking for a place with a decent ambient to hang, Flea Whisky's is it! I have not tried any of their food but I can tell you that there's quite a selection on their menu! read more

I and some friends and family went to Flea Whiskeys last Sunday. Everyone was going to be coming and leaving at different times and this was not going to be an event where everyone was ordering food so no reservations were made. I arrived around 6pm; the waitress came to the table and asked if anyone else was coming (we sat at a bigger table)? I let her know that there may be a few more people coming but at different times. I asked if there was a drink menu and she replied "This isn't a fancy restaurant it is just a pool hall we don't have fancy drinks with things like simple syrup we only have things like beer and rye & coke". I got the feeling that she was irritated. My friend than asked if he could have a ceasar extra spicy and when it was brought to him was told that ceasars are kind of like a passion to the bartender. I thought it was a little odd that she didn't at least mention this drink to me when I asked about a drink menu. So our friend ordered a steak sandwich and fries and we said we were going to have our drinks and maybe order an app in a bit. After about a half hour my husband and I order a couple of different types of wings and the anotjitos. Our wings came but no antojitos. We ate the wings and were full so decided to just make sure we were not charged for the antojitos. Between 6:00 & 7:30 7 more friends joined our group. Out of this group only 2 wanted to order food. The rest were there to have a couple of drinks and play pool. The waitress was not coming to the table at this point to take orders and so we were mostly going to the bar to ask for a drink. When she did come and take drink orders she did not ask if anyone was interested in food or looking at a menu. My husband went to the bar to ask about pool and the waitress replied to him "I am really busy making different drinks for you table right now so I'll just come and explain it when I get there". All he wanted to know was how much and if they could start a game. So around 8:00 I noticed that my friend (who arrived at 6:30) still hadn't been asked if she wanted to order anything and another friend of mine said she asked for a drink but still hadn't received it and the last two to arrive wanted to order an app but were not asked if their order could be taken yet either. So I went to the bar and asked the other waitress who recently started her shift if she could come to the table when she had a chance and take a food order and a missed drink order. After a few minutes our original waitress we had come to the table and shouted angrily "whose drinks did I forget and who needs to make an order!" she was obviously upset. Again the table was only asked about drinks and not food and because of the way the waitress approached the table the people at the table that wanted to order felt awkward saying anything. At this point because there were still people waiting for their food order to be taken, we went back to the bar and asked if she could come back to take a food order. Her reply "why didn't they anything". So when she approached our table a second time she even more irritated and angry and was again shouting at us saying "I am really stressed! I haven't had a cigarette in five hours! I am doing the best that I can! If you want to come and have a pleasant time next time call ahead for a party of over 10 and you can have a great time! My husband asked for the manager and she advised us that she was the manager and offered the contact info for the owners. So she took the two food orders and stormed off. After a while she came back and asked if it was supposed to 3 or 4 chicken fingers for one of the two orders. We all really felt that the entire night from the moment we got there that the waitress/manager was irritated with us. No one in our group was ever rude, mean or unkind. Despite this we all were trying to be really nice to her So no I did not call to make reservations because we were not planning on all arriving at the same time and ordering food. We were all showing up at different times and not everyone was planning on having food. We only needed one pool table. There were only two actual meals ordered and three orders of wings. Yes everyone had at least two drinks but most just ordered beer. If you require reservations for this kind of evening than it should be noted on your website, at this point all it says is to call for a party of 20 or more. read more
