I've looked for a better deal before, extensively researching this product and Fleet Farm has ALWAYS had the best deal for a long period of time. Do not bring your vehicles to the FF Auto Service Station at Green Bay West!! My husband brought his car for a tire rotation. Was told they couldn't complete cause the lugnut wrench was stripped. 3 weeks later, I bring my car in for a tire rotation and they told me one of the lugnuts was stuck on a bolt and couldn't rotate my tire. Then proceeded to tell me it would cost $300 to replace the bolt? In both cases, the mgr. told us we should bring our cars to Auto Aces to get fixed?!? I contacted the mgr and only response was these things happen, their technician isn't very experienced and sorry we feel this way. read more

We spend thousands of dollars a year for feed and other items. Just spent another $100+ and three hours later received a coupon via text for 10% off. Went into store to see what they would do....maybe a $5 off coupon or something to make me feel like a valued customer. NOPE. They wanted me to return several hundred lbs of corn and bird seed and repurchase them, wouldn't just adjust my receipt. Called corporate and got the same stupid runaround. It holds countless memories of spending hours with my father and, now, my husband, who has also fallen in love with it since moving from Texas. Although I may not be personally interested in everything it has to offer, I can attest to its impressive organization and the friendly, knowledgeable staff who are always eager to assist me and my family in finding what we need. I was shopping at the Appleton store this week. My complaint is not with this store. In fact, I shop here on a regular basis. However, I do have a big issue with how I was treated at the checkout. While waiting in line, a young man offered me the self checkout and I said no. He then said I could be rung out at customer service, so I agreed. Sadly, as I was walking to customer service, I was interrupted by an older woman who insisted I do self check. Both the young man and I said I don't want that. She then proceeds to checkout for me saying she would "help" me acting like I was either afraid of it or too stupid to understand how to do it. My issue with self check is that it is too impersonal. Terrible customer service! I tried to purchase a SUP that was on sale and after receiving an order confirmation email, my order was cancelled!! When I called customer service I was told they were sold out and no rainchecks were being issued. The following Monday I tried again and amazingly the same SUP was available, but not at the sale price. I am so disappointed that Fleet Farm does not require it's employees or customers to wear facemasks during this pandemic. If Fleet Farm was really concerned about the safety and health of their employees and customers they would require everyone to wear a facemask when entering their store. If anything, at least put up signage asking people to be respectful of others and wear a facemask. Occasionally over the loudspeaker Fleet Farm will ask customers to be mindful of social distancing and stay at least six feet apart, but this warning goes unheeded, there is no enforcement. I failed to see anyone washing down the handles of carts their customers use or any other high touch areas. It's apparent Fleet Farm has a lack of consideration for the health of both their customers and employees. This concerns me especially since so many of their customers are over 50 years of age. read more

I'm writing today to inform you of how disappointed I am in the service I've received over these past few days. I've never quite had such a bad experience in my entire life. A friend of mine purchased a cultivator from online to be picked up in Waupaca on Saturday. I drove 45 minutes to Waupaca, went to the outdoor yard. Issues: 1. At the gate, no one was manning the gate house, 3 cars waiting behind me for 5 minutes. I had to call the store from my cell before someone came over from the yard to open the gate and help. 2. Upon trying to leave the yard, no one was at the gate again to check my order/receipt. I waited a minute, no one came, so I started driving off. Then I'm getting yelled at by the gate employee running across the yard. I stopped, showed him my receipt, but he was a jerk about it. THIS IS NOT THE CUSTOMERS FAULT. Either man the stupid gatehouse or close your yard, shouldn't have to wait or call the store to get someone in the gatehouse. 3. I had to drive this cultivator I picked up, down to Kenosha on Sunday. Made it down and they said it was missing pieces. The c-tines from the cultivator were somehow removed/not included with the item they loaded in my truck. I called the store, spoke with Tammy in customer service. I was on hold for about 15 minutes while they tried to find the missing pieces. No luck. I was then told they were going to keep looking and call me back in a little bit. 4. Hour and half goes by, I am waiting in Kenosha, I called the store back. I was told they didn't know what to do, they can't find the parts, but were looking at options and would get back to me by end of day. 5. No one called me back on Saturday, so I called just before store closing. I had to speak with Justin, store manager on duty at that time. Very rude, tells me it's not their problem and to call King Kutter to get replacements. First off, you sold me an item missing pieces...your fault, not mine. Second, tell your people, especially managers, to lose the attitudes. I've never been treated like such an a-hole for a problem that I didn't cause. Mind you, this whole time I've never once yelled or got upset, I'm just outright being treated like a freaking jerk. By end of call, Justin says, "Oh, I see, yeah, that is an issue." No kidding. Says he's going to look into it and call back that night yet, or the next day. 6. Shocking, I know, but no one called me back. I just got off the phone with yet ANOTHER customer service person who I had to go through this whole story again, only to be told, we'll look into it and call you back. I am beyond upset at this point. Not only are these parts missing around $140 without shipping, now I have to drive to Waupaca, AGAIN, 45 minutes, then drive down to Kenosha, 2.5hours away. Know why? I was told by your store employee, "We can't ship them to you, you need to come get them yourself". I was going to wait until after this debacle is finished to write anything in fear I won't even get the parts I'm missing from your terrible store in Waupaca, but after this last call I couldn't wait. This will be going on all social media sites as well. Based on how I've been treated to this point, I would venture to guess this will be deleted and not seen again, but I wouldn't expect anything better at this point. Prove me wrong. To make this even better, tried submitting through your website contact form, just errors out. Priceless. read more

The Waupaca Store has gone down hill, the people in white shirts will not answer question nor help, when asking employees for help, the white shirts refuse to talk to them and employees state they are not to engage in conversation with customers. We bought a snowblower for $1200 Drove it 2 hours to our cabin, put in gas to start for first time. The gas leaked out of the fuel bowl. Drove it back two hours to be told to take it it true value to get it fixed at our expense and they may reimburse us. This is horrible it's BRAND NEW!!!! I would advise people to buy local I will now be buying my future needs at the Northside True Value they sent us to! They were knowledgeable and helpful. This store is a huge fleet farm with everything you could ever want! I was amazed as soon as I started walking around. Everything is is larger and better here! I was very impressed with the gun section. The selection and variety is huge and nothing I've seen in a fleet farm before. They also had a whole rack with wooden stocks with sights and scopes on them. This was a unique and cool way to show how a scope would look on a gun. Other than that this store just has everything. The people we're great, but PC upper management lost a sale. I'm a native Wisconsinite living in Texas home for a wedding and wanted to buy a lower for an AR15. FF wouldn't sell it to me not because it of the law but rather their policy. They said they could sell me any semi-auto hand gun, revolver, long gun, or shotgun but not a lower AR. Something about local regulations in other jurisdictions like that's a problem in Texas. The people trying to make it work were great. Total disappointment in FF on a high level. I'll be back in WI but never again to FF. read more

Fleet Farm has gone downhill since it was purchased by the new owners. I cannot believe how many times things I want are out of stock - housewares, sporting goods, hardware, you name it. Prices have also been quietly rising. I bought a tool for full retail but had to return it (wrong size). In looking for the right size tool just a few days later the retail product price had quietly raise by 12% !!! Many store employees are very inexperienced and offer good intentions but only marginal help. What was once one of my favorite stores is quickly becoming a frustrating place to shop. Home Depot , Menards, and Lowe's will be getting more of my business here on out. Sad to say. read more

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I look for the smell of tires when I go to Fleet. The smell of rubber is definitely one thing that makes Fleet Farm unique! Product selection is awesome- lot's of fishing equipment, and misc for home maintenance and improvement. You can press a button to call for help in a particular area which is a nice touch. We just went to the Fleet Farm on WI Ave and are extremely disappointed. Please tell me why the tag says 22.99 and then a "sale" price sticker is over the original price as 29.99? So a basic "orange Friday" sweatshirt is 60.00 normally..? Absolutely not. When we brought it up at the cash register they 1. Argued with us about it when I was clearly marked incorrectly...2. Said that an item rang up incorrectly but not the item we were talking about, but then never corrected the cost...3. Because we didn't want to hold up the people behind us and were sick of arguing with 2 employees, we dropped it and apologized on the way out (even though we didn't do anything wrong) and the cashier completely ignored us. Mostly good experiences but I have noticed a decrease in friendliness from the staff in general and Ive shopped here for 20+ years. Today I had a poor experience when trying to return an item that I had purchased yesterday. I paid $100 in cash and put $150 on my debit card and yet the man working the customer service desk was unwilling to go through the trouble of giving me a partial cash refund in the same manner that I paid. He also played stupid and processed the return as credit even though he had the choice to process as debit so the effect is that now I have to wait much longer. Most employees are friendly and ill continue to shop here for stuff that I cant buy on Amazon but there's no advantage to buying in store if the returns take longer than Amazon. I suggest the new owners of Fleet Farm consult the previous owners or consulting firm that the previous owners used and make the necessary changes. The new owners have raised prices, cant retain quality employees, cant keep the store adequately stocked, and Ive heard similar complaints from friends and family. read more

On 10/7/11, I visited the Appleton store and spent about $57 in order to get the advertized gas discount. Then, after I pumped the gas the employees told me they could not honor it because I paid at the pump. I eventually discovered this fine print on the coupon however I didn't see that information on the giant sign outside. I drove back to the main store to request that the store honor what was advertized and a haughty employee denied that. I believe I then asked her if she preferred for me to return all the items (maybe 10 total) I had just purchased... and she silently, snobbishly just took them all back and recorded them on the register. I obviously didn't want to return the items I had just spent an hour finding. Does management encourage these people to be too arrogant to even speak to customers? I wasn't talking either as I was surprised she didn't get someone or even attempt to do anything to manage the situation. She did mumble something about it being store policy (not to honor the gas discount). I have a policy as well which is not to return to businesses that steal from customers and then claim to hide behind a "store policy." If this policy is so important, why isn't it advertised on the sign outside? Even after I went out of my way to give them the opportunity to make this right, they did not do it. This truly saddens me because for years I liked this store and felt it was an excellent place to shop. One of my friends recently told me it was his favorite store and it was probably mine as well. I spent over an hour selecting the items I later was compelled to return, including a new pair of shoes that I now need to go pick out somewhere else. I was surprised that store policy is to lose a customer over 36 cents. The fact that they would treat people with that much disrespect assures me that I will be better off not visiting this store anymore.
