I am not convinced the employees know what they are doing. I had my feet measured and they told me I needed a 10.5 wide shoe. I alerted them to the fact that I typically where a 12 or 12.5 in most shoes and sometimes a 13 if it isn't a wide shoe. They insisted I try a 10.5 which was too tight, but they convinced me to purchase an 11.5 wide. As expected, after wearing them for 2 days I could barely walk. My left knee began hurting, as did my back and the arches of my feet. I stand and walk for 10-13 hour shifts and this was not acceptable. I returned to the store and had them rescan me with the same resulting shoe size recommendation. This time I insisted on a 12.5, which they did not have in stock and had to order. When it came time to order the replacement shoes, the employee wanted to order the new shoes first and then process my return. I disagreed with this process as I had purchased the shoes with a gift card and would then be paying $180 and leaving with a $150 gift card. The employee asked the manager for assistance and they agreed to do my return first and refund the money to a gift card that could be used for the purchase of the new shoes. This seems like common sense, but based on the shoe measurement discrepancies, perhaps not for these employees. I will see if the replacement shoes fit better when they arrive, but I am not likely to recommend this business to anyone else looking for shoes read more

Dear Friends, 2023 marked the start of a change in my life. We all make resolutions at the start of the year but this change isn't a resolution. It's a change.... I decided that instead of watching life I'd join it. After losing another classmate, I finally realized that my bucket list would be for not if I kept waiting for the perfect situation. One of the items on that list is to constantly improve my physical fitness. Since the stairs at work snatch my breath on a daily, I decided to start with walking. Came here as a bunch of military families recommended this to us. Upon entering, I was greeted and brought over to a machine that got information about my feet. A few things it told me about were my heel to toe length, my arch, instep height, and heel width. I was even emailed a digital copy of a scan of my feet. After they measured my feet, they asked if I wanted try on some shoes, what size I usually wear, and then told me what size I should wear. She then brought out three pairs for me to try. After I found 'the one', she made sure the size was good, helped me lace them up, and gave me tips on different ways to lace them for running. They do offer military discount and it was such a nice gesture. 10% goes a long way given the price of the shoes here. I'd definitely come back for another pair down the road. read more

I walked in at 10:05 as they open at 10:00. There were already a handful of customers in the store. I was greeted promptly and the service from Annette was exceptional. She was very helpful, established rapport and was patient as I tried on a few sets of sneakers. The only reason for losing a star is the prices. ALL THE SHOES START AT $120 and go up from there. They have a great selection of shoes and also have the books on hand if you need a size that they don't currently carry in the store. They have ordered shoes in a wider size for me. They usually have a pretty good selection of running clothing on the sale racks so be sure to check them out. In addition shoes they also have all of the gear that runners need, Garmin, water bottles, inserts, headbands, compression items...socks! Don't forget the support to go with all that gear! They have a full calendar of events to help you get involved. While they don't offer in store treadmill gait analysis, they can help you out with this if you are in need. While I really like this store and have purchased multiple items here in the past, I just had an experience that may keep me from returning. I had a race day coupon and/or a store credit that I wanted to use on my purchase. The coupon doesn't say it can't be used on sale purchases and that is not indicated anywhere in the store. Upon pointing this out I was rudely told that the system wouldn't accept the coupon and the sale (even though I had done just that on several occasions). Had her tone been apologetic and not accusatory (like I was running a scam) I would not have had a problem at all. But this completely flustered me and I just walked out. As a discount hunter, I've done this before and never had a problem. I really appreciate Fleet Feet, but this incident just left a bad taste in my mouth. I cannot recommend Fleet Feet highly enough. My husband and I went to find him some shoes and we were immediately greeted by Karen, she was amazing! She did his foot analysis and brought out no less than six pairs of shoes to help him figure out which ones were the best fit. I became part of the Fleet Feet family last year when I joined one of their training groups. The culture and atmosphere they have there is amazing. The events that are planned at the store are awesome as well. My husband was a regular customer while I was deployed. So, when I came home, he naturally drug me in there. I was a little apprehensive at first. While I ran, I had never had anyone tell me how or to give me the correct gear. Or have someone tell me I was wearing the wrong shoe. I went in with a barrage of issues...ankle pain, toes falling asleep and burning on the bottoms of my feet. They fit me in a larger shoe, threw some inserts in there & fit me in a shoe with a little more cushion than what I was wearing. Haven't had any issues since! I ran my first half-marathon with them last November. The experience was unforgettable & I plan to train and run another one with this this fall! This store in particular has the greatest customer service. I ran my first full marathon in January and got my shoes about 4-5 months in advance. I have completely flat feet and haven't ever tried shoes that have had arch support in the many years that I have been running (sprints in high school and a switch to long distance in college and ever since). I started training in these shoes and they felt a little off (rookie mistake: trying a completely new shoe before ever running a full marathon) and I called and asked if there would be a "transition" period with new shoes and they said no, but to give it a few more days. I should have trusted my gut and took them back, but I trained in them and ran the marathon in them. Not only did my feet go numb at around mile 9, but I had to have my husband meet me at mile 25 so I could give him my shoes. I was in tears after the race and was afraid I had done some serious damage to my knees. I went into Fleet Feet and told them what happened and they not only took them back but had me fitted into shoes that I should have gone with to begin with. I was shocked because I had put some serious miles on these shoes but they did not want a customer to be unhappy. My new shoes have been wonderful ever since! Long story short, always listen to what your muscles are telling you and come here for advice from some really knowledgable sales associates. Thank you so much! I really liked Fleet Feet at first and was impressed with the sales lady sharing with me if I had any problem I could return the shoe and they would do what ever it takes to make it right. I have a problem with my feet which I shared with them from the beginning. I saw a foot doctor 3 times for my problem. And they suggested to go to Fleet Feet to fine the right shoe for me. When wearing the shoe my foot would hurt after a period of time. I was forcing myself to wear them because I did not want to return them. I was told by the associate to wear them a little longer to break them in. I had to return them anyway. I called Fleet Feet and they suggested to bring them back into the store. I had at least 3 different people to wait on me at 3 different times. I believe another person opinion might matter. The last person was a Courtney and she said she wanted to talk to the manager about this problem before selling me another pair of shoes. And that was the last time I heard from anyone. I also emailed the owners but have yet to hear from them. I guess I am on my own now. I am very disappointed. I will not be able to give Fleet Feet a good reference because they just gave up on me and did not call me back. read more
