The Fleet Feet staff is friendly and seemingly knowledgeable. The store is clean and well stocked. The cost of shoes made for $0.12 by children in impoverished parts of the world is ridiculous, but Fleet Feet isn't charging any more than any other place that sells foreign made shoes. read more

First class running store This is one of only four stores that my pediatrist recommended in Sarasota. Now I understand why. Store has a great selection of running footwear and a staff that takes the time and has the tools to understand what you are looking for. This was my first time there and this is now my favorite sports shoe store in the area. Service is great. An example is I purchased a pair of shoes which are great for me. When I got home I decided I wanted a different color that was not available in store that day. I called back to the store. They did a search with the manufacturer and found a pair in my size, color. They exchanged the shoes without any hassle. I ended up buying Two pairs of shoes. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend even if you are not a road runner! read more

I purchased thousands of $$ of sneakers and workout wear over the past few years. Two times now,I have had serious problems,one time with resolve,only at my insistence,which I found out about a month ago,lead to a"note being put in their system that I was never allowed to exchange or return sneakers again" even though their site claims they have a return policy. I was looking to replace an older sneaker I bought at fleet feet so I called and was told they had them.When I got there,they had a "newer version",but a size too wide for my feet.i tried them on,they felt somewhat too wide but I told the sales girl that and that I was willing to give them a try. I was using gift cards to pay for them. It is important that I mention that as they have NO signs saying they are NOT ABLE to give refunds or exchanges if a customer uses gift cards to purchase, NOR was I told that!!After the sales girl was done ringing them up,she made 2 comments,first one was "that the owners son had put a note in the system that I was not allowed to make any exchanges at their store again"..So I said then refund me what you put through on my gift cards.She said "she didn't know how to do that and "she didn't think their system allowed that anyway".this dragged out for over an hour. I.got nowhere with her and of course there was no owner or manager in. So I ended up getting stuck with a 185.00 pair of sneakers that didn't fit right.i wore them for about an hour or 2, around the inside of my house,and immediately, my scoliosis triggered and I had to my doctor for a back mri. I should of prefaced that comment by adding that I have multiple foot issues as well,and that is the WHOLE reason my foot surgeon sent me to FLEET FEET to begin with!!I have already warned him what happened to me.The store is aware,and has done nothing.Theie lack of action should help you I'm deciding if this is the store for you. My husband turned 65 & after 2 spine surgeries in 1 year his Pilates instructor said he need more stable shoes & sent him to Fleet Feet. Wow! Mike was amazing w his elite knowledge & expertise. After a few seconds on the free 3D fit id® foot scanning machine he showed on his iPad how his feet were actually 2 diff sizes, also his arch type, pronation, & 3D angles. We found the perfect Brooks shoe & inserts. Mike also showed him how to tie them to snug up the heel. Highly recommend!! Personable & friendly. read more

This store carries only top-notch shoes. The people who work there will not sell you a shoe that does not fit properly. If you have any foot issues or just want a proper fit, this store is for you! In the past I had always purchased good shoes. My podiatrist recommended that I start buying great shoes & recommended this store. I enjoy shopping here bc they have a large, varied selection. They had several choices in my size-- I liked that, too. Prices are reasonable and appropriate for the quality of the shoe that you are getting. Their website needs some TLC, so don't be turned off by it. Just stop in if you are 15-95 and see for yourself how good a terrific shoe can feel. read more

In the past my mom and I have had great service at this store . Last time we were in there she bought two pairs of Brooks shoes and I bought a pair of On Clouds. The nice lady took her time helping us. Todays visit we were helped by Michael who rushed through and found a size 11 for my mom, then when asked if there were any other colors because the one he showed her was not a color she liked he proceeded to say rudely nooo that is a very uncommon size we don't carry those because such a low percentage of people are that size. Even after we told him in the past they usually had more of a selection he then argued and said no we have never had that, and never offered to order any. He offered in the end when she was buying the inserts for her shoes she currently owns. We decided to order her shoes online since he was so unnecessarily rude. I understand if you choose to not carry any larger sizes there, but at least be kind, and direct customers to another store that may be able to help them. Thank you. read more

Can't say enough good things about Krista and Gina. Gina was EXTREMELY patient with me as I am super hard to fit in practically anything. She spent ample time during a rush hour to make sure I got the right fit shoes and shorts. Krista also spent a lot of time teaching me about the size and shape of my feet and giving me some training pointers. She even went out of her way to ship some shorts to my home since they didn't have my size in stock. Like many other runners who were birthed during the pandemic (so to speak), I missed out on these interactions while starting up. It's really nice to run into people this friendly and willing to help. Everything is priced fair as well- the same if not cheaper than online after you factor shipping in. Thank you again, ladies. Stopped in after suffering with plantar fasciitis for about a month. Ice, stretching, night splints etc. Rather than spending a fortune on yet another set of unwearable orthotics from a podiatrist, I decided to try this route. Very high level of expertise from staff- gait analysis and computer generated analysis of foot anatomy and arch. Decided on Hokas with no adjustment of insole. Spencos high arch support for deck shoes. Walked nearly pain-free since. Not out of the woods yet, but BIG improvement. Prices are well in line. Can't get this service from Amazon read more

Much more expensive than I've seen at other stores with the same merchandise. I walked in with 3 associates standing around with no other customers and it took awhile to get help. They were more interested in talking about their running gate than helping me.
