Very cold uncaring , salesman " Steve" really unhelpful and just sour and should just hang it up and fully retire. Had a a hip that went terribly south on me , and unable to walk for 1.5 years - so you wld tnk you cld have been kinder & more helpful , but not so ! Unhappy- tart - just a bad experience! read more

Our experience at this location was a customer service Sh*t Show. We only buy NB sneakers and have spent money at this store but not anymore from this guy. His staff is nicer and a bit more polite than he is. If you don't fit the look or profile of a runner, jogger, crossfit d.b. and wear NB's for work don't expect any respect or service. Speaking as a board-certified podiatrist, there are very few retail stores that will appropriately evaluate your foot type as well as a specific type of shoe for the activities that you wish to enjoy. There are well trained the staff associates to help. They will never suggest a shoe just because they have it in stock. If they don't have what you need and I will try and order it for you. read more

Outstanding experience. They had staff who recommended I wear the Leadville 101 trail shoe for my JFK 50mile run and the staff member had actually run on that trail before even though it is about a thousand miles away. Last week I got Paula to help me get new road shoes for the Boston Marathon and she put me in the new Zante shoes. Love the shoes even though other runners probably would want more support for that distance than I need but she knew me and she knew the shoes and she was dead right. read more

My second trip to New Ba, Lance at Stickney Point was after a visit to my doctor regarding my foot. The doctor recommended this store for shoe inserts. Once again Mark took care to fit me with inserts for my walking shoes and stick ones for my favorite Fit Flops! I cannot praise this man too much. He fits my husband, my daughter and myself. Thank you Mark! I called in Monday, Desperate for shoes if you can believe it. My husband is in a facility and I don't drive, and we received a recommendation from the podiatrist as to a certain shoe and store to use to get those shoes. Mark was extremely helpful and pleasant. I want to thank New Balance for helping me find the right shoes!  David 's evaluation was awesome! In 48 years of competitive running I have never had such a complete and accurate evaluation in finding the right shoes for me. I so appreciate the details and explanations David gave. Tonight I ran an easy 3 miles in the Vazees. I felt like I had been re-aligned and each stride was smooth and forward. And I was feeling use of the whole shoe! I haven't felt that for a long time! My leg muscles even felt different and got more relaxed into the run! I wasn't landing on my toes (I tend to be a toe striker) but more evenly on the shoes.  I think, as David pointed out, with less heal-toe drop in the shoe I am landing more evenly on my foot.  I am very excited and hope I can run some record times as a 65-year-old for Team New Balance Sarasota. It's a wonderful team. I believe New Balance has the right shoe for anyone but I needed a personal evaluation to find mine. And at New Balance Sarasota that is available to those who are having trouble finding a shoe that works. read more

The New Balance Sarasota store is huge, but well organized - men's and women's shoes and running gear and accessories (shoelaces, socks, hats, energy gels, etc.). I'm always drawn straight to the clearance rack, picking up a 100% polyester running t-shirt for 50% off today ($10). Can't beat that - who doesn't love a sale? Bought mom a pair of new shoes after the associate helped to analyze her gait and find her the proper style, and inserts. $170 later we were out the door. Great location and knowledable staff make this a great store. read more

This was our first time in a New Balance shoe store and wow, what a pleasant experience. Thanks to our Certified Fit Specialist Mark Pellman, Jr. He was super knowledgeable and truly had the right suggestions for the applications my husband and I needed. We were very pleased with as much time and importance he gave to us and each customer whom walked in the door. On May 25, 2019, I went to this store to buy running shoes I had selected from the site. I was not greeted by anyone, in fact I was ignored. I selected my shoes and had to track down a salesperson, a guy, that did not even look in the back to see if they had these shoes in 7 or 7 1/2. I asked if they had anything else like them in 7 1/2. He did not look or blink an eye and said no. He walked away. I felt so alienated. I came to buy running shoes of $185 to $220. I will not be back to this store. You embarrassed me. This is not the standard New Balance has ever shown me. read more

While I love the convenience of shopping on-line, when it comes to my running shoes, there's no substitute for a specialty retail store and the New Balance store on Stickney Point is worth anyone's time and effort (there's one in University Park too). The staff are truly knowledgeable about shoe fitting for everyone from seasoned runners to aging adults who, as we all know, all come with individual needs relating to foot, ankle, biomechanics and other lifestyle and training challenges. Love the apparel too -- just keeps getting better. Do your feet and body and favor and visit one of these stores. read more

Someone needs to tell New Balance that their 602s have defective glue, the past 3 pairs I bought the heel started to come off within six months. I'd expect that from a Chinese company but, not one that charges $65 for these sneakers. They offered me a $10 coupon, pffftt. I started buying Costco sneakers and they have lasted over a year without any heels coming unglued or any other problems.
