Awful customer service and extremely condescending. I went in to return some shoes that I…read morepurchased 10 days earlier using a CashApp card. I was told that I could only receive a gift card. They wouldn't even put the money back on my card. I asked if the amount had cleared. I was told yes. So I said ...well you already have your money. You aren't waiting on it. And even if it's not returned immediately I don't want a gift card. The person that I spoke with became very condescending. He said 'we don't sell shoes expecting people to return them'. I replied that their store must be the only one in existence that doesn't. Which is the purpose of return policies...DUH. Then he shares that it's a new system. I reply that's why cashiers should be trained to know the policies. ***This one was the worst and most demeaning...you used an unsecured card. When y'all use that kind of car that's what happens. IF you had another card.....and that's when I cut him off because I felt my anger right at the edge. NEVER EVER will I return!!! I can't wait to contact corporate. They had the shoe when I asked if they had a size 14 they said they don't carry anything in size 14. So I said okay and left. I don't know why they don't carry anything in size 14 for them being a shoe specific store. They also are expensive! When everyone else had a Father's Day sale they were selling at full price or more.

Although I won't knock them for a single occurrence, thus far. Especially given the exceptionally friendly and helpful service I received. The one (1) strange bit in reference to organization is, there are two (2) separate stores in the Barnes Crossing location. One (1) is largely women's, cosmetics, etc. The other, men's, luggage, etc. It's strange given both are marked with simple Belk's signage on the outside, with no clear demarcation as to which store it is you're walking into (from the outside).
