When I was first deciding who to pick to do the surgery the staff part was an important factor for me. The first time I ever went to his office, his office manager, Patti, had a cold and didn't want to get anyone sick. So she had other people bring me in person whatever it was that I was supposed to have. That little gesture as well as the kindness and concern I picked up from her and other staff impressed me. I searched for doctors for about a year before having the procedure. Dr Bianchi was recommended by someone in the Neuro-Opthalmology department at NYU Langone Medical Center. Thinking the cataract surgery would be the first step in the process. The next day my vision was 20/20 and no need for the membrane surgery. Also did my other eye, 20/15 the next day. Her staff are often friendly and quick. The appointment with her also doesn't take too long. Last year she took a little longer but she was making sure of something, which I appreciated. You could tell by the way she talks to her patients that she cares and is super nice. Usually for these tests, your eyes are dilated so make sure you bring someone to drive you home! It always lasts about 3-5 hours for me. I have been going to her for a few years now and will continue to go here until my insurance stops me I guess.
