The space not only serves as a retail space, but also as an office. Moveable walls and furniture options allow it to be transformed into a beautiful event space at any moment. Dan used many of the modern materials that you see in homes and magazines today, but what really surprised me is the kitchen. Instead of tucking the cooks away from the guests, Dan opted to place a glass window where a wall should be. Guests can enjoy the hustle and bustle of kitchen, which really is, and should be, part of the entertainment. Chefs can finally enjoy the party and get a feel for the crowd, all while whipping up their creations. I can't wait to see what comes of this space. It could be utilized in so many ways. The cocktail reception for this wedding was held in the large area where you first walk in, and while the area was beautiful and allowed natural light to come in from the north end, it was really loud and echoed quite a bit. The bar was in the perfect location, tucked back but also easily accessible. The main portion of the reception was really nice, with lighting that would change every half hour or so. The toasts were easy to hear, the dance floor was big, and there was room to move around throughout. I haven't read on on SDM to find out what all they do, but in regards to wedding planning this seems like a perfectly located, beautiful spot to take a look at.

The designer didn't listen, even after having a final consultation a month before the wedding and inspiration pictures. The flowers for our event were beautiful, but not what was requested. We even requested a certain flower not be used and it was. I get the impression they will cater more toward the bigger budgets and have set formulas of what they do. They were very prompt and had an excellent crew to set up and tear down. Our designer didn't entirely listen and although we were happy with the outcome, we weren't felt heard. If I had to do it again though, I would probably look somewhere else as I didn't feel that important to them.

We ended up only doing a few of our tables with florals as centerpieces and they merged seamlessly with our other centerpieces. Most excitingly we had them create pet collars for our German Shepherd and our cat which were a big hit and they looked fantastic!
