I wanted to send flowers to my sister and future husband as a wedding day gift. I ordered pale pink and pale green flowers. I KNOW THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SUBSTITUTE FLOWERS HOWEVER....the flowers send were not at all in the same colors. They were not pale at all. They were dark burgundy and other colors not in the original picture. I even told the man named John that I wanted the pale colors. I have attached pics to show the difference. Also, he didn't even get the card right! It was supposed to read: Best wishes for a lovely day. He wrote best wishes for a day. What the heck!? I called him and he went on and on in circles about they were close to the same as the picture. He boasts a 100% guarantee but did not honor it. So disappointed!!!!! read more

Living in California and having a girlfriend in Arizona can be challenging. After a week or so of being in the doghouse, I decided to suprise my girl Double Dee by sending flowers to her office recently via Fletcher heights. Unbeknownst to me, she left her office early while her flowers were in route. Unable to reach Double Dee, i reached out to this business to explain and although they were not obligated to, they took pity on me and were kind enough to refund me. This Florist shop has to be owned by a new owner. I've ordered from Fletcher Heights since 2011 and was always happy but recently I've noticed a drop in quality. This order, I ordered two dozen tulips to make an impression to my wife. They arrived and were really short and not making the statement I wished for. I called and talked to Karen and told her I wanted to make a statement and maybe it was my fault but I was calling to order a additional dozen roses to make a statement. When they arrived same thing not that statement I was looking for. My wife was happy to get 3 dozen roses for her birthday but I got really upset when 6 different people came over and their roses were nicer and taller than mine. Then another level of upset came when my roses were the first roses to die! Karen should have asked how much was I wanting to pay, I do recall the previous owner asking me this. This flower shop is next to Albertson and I feel I can get the same quality next door at Albertsons at a lower price. This order is my last. read more

I received an beautiful arrangement of white long stem roses from this florist. I have had arrangements from other places, and this far exceeded the quality of others. The roses were not damaged or blemished. They opened up BEAUTIFULLY and have not even begin to die and they are on their 5th day. After speaking with the sender he informed me that they were actually OUT of the white roses he wanted to send me, and this florist went out and got them to satisfy the order. First and foremost, I can wholehearted and without reservation say that after decades of buying floral arrangements from more florist than I can remember, I've finally found the one, the BEST ONE! I cannot say enough great things about Fletcher Heights Florist. From the second you walk into the door until weeks after the arrangements have arrived, you can see the love, pride, and hard work they put into each arrangement. Over the years, I have ordered birthday arrangements, holiday arrangements, graduations, get well, etc., and even little things when I'm in the "dog house", and they have ALWAYS been nothing less than superb and absolutely beautiful. However, when I came in and spoke to the girls about something special for my wife's 50th birthday, I knew they would do a great job. When the arrangement arrived at the exact time I requested, both my wife and I were beyond impressed and happy; it looked like heaven on earth had arrived. I'm usually very hesitant about recommending business to others as most cannot remain consistent in putting out quality products, and then you have to hear about someone you care about bad experience because you recommended them. Not with this florist, I have personally recommended them to many many family, friends, and co-workers, and have yet to hear anything back except thank-you and how happy they are. I'm a firm believer in that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink. This "business" is SOOOO unprofessional it's hard to understand how they are still in business. The owner/manager is completely RUDE & hung up on me which makes sense after reading the wave of bad reviews. Yesterday when I made order her son (which she admitted to on phone) was HIGH & could hardly take my order. Don't bother with this place. I wish I didn't have to give them one star; they don't deserve that much. They are rude and unprofessional and don't care about customer service. Let me explain...After my uncle was in the hospital for almost a week, I decided to have flowers waiting at his home on the day he was discharged. I like to use a local florist to help "the little guy" so I found Fletcher Heights Florist. I called them, spoke with Johanna at 10 a.m., ordered an arrangement, asked that it be delivered late that afternoon and was told "no problem". Famous last words. After two days of numerous calls to Johanna to try and find the arrangement (which by the way, they NEVER called me to say they couldn't deliver), I am finally told the driver has attempted delivery several times but no one is home and there is no shaded place to leave the flowers so they don't wilt. I insisted (several times over) there was always someone at the house because family members had been arriving for several days waiting for my uncle to return home. Johanna told me the driver has been with them for 8 years, "is an old man" and has no reason to lie so I needed to double check the house and make sure people are there to receive the arrangement. (She's saying I'm lying.) I asked Johanna for some sort of compensation for the troubles since (at that time) it was well over 24 hours since I placed my order with them and I had already called several times asking about the delivery. She said, "what would make you happy?" I said, how about you deduct the delivery fees; I believe it's $13. She agreed. Later that evening, I had my cousin call the business since she is in AZ and has been at the house waiting for the arrangement even though her father has been in the hospital. Johanna told her she was finally able to speak with the driver who told her he had been GOING TO THE WRONG HOUSE. Johanna insisted mistakes happen. She told my cousin she would credit me for 1/2 the amount of the arrangement but she didn't know how to do that and would have to check with someone in the morning since it was already 530 p.m. Johanna then called me and said the same thing, mistakes happen and I need to understand that. I told her this whole ordeal has been a nightmare for me and my family. That's when she said she would credit me for 1/2 the amount of the arrangement. By this time, I was fed up with Johanna and waited to speak with the owner to let her know what's been going on. Two days later, that's how long it took to get a hold of Dean, owner of Fletcher Heights Florist. After explaining my situation to her, she said, I'm not giving you free flowers; you got them didn't you?! I said I did get them but after being in a hot van for 2 days, they were wilted and not even refreshed prior to delivery. She said I'll credit you for $13, the delivery fee but that's it. I'm not gonna listen to you B**** and moan over this. I asked about the credit Johanna promised me. She said I don't know why she said that. I'm not giving you free flowers. You can pay for the arrangement then hung up on me. Later that afternoon, I was reviewing my bank account and saw a pending charge for an additional $40 from Fletcher Heights Florist. WTH?! I've already paid the full amount of the arrangement PLUS delivery fees two days before! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS. They don't care about you or customer service. I will NEVER use this business again, nor will any of my extremely large family in the Peoria area. Run...far, far away from Fletcher Heights Florist!!! Dean and Johanna don't care about their customers. They just want their money (as you've read with the double charges I received from them). The first bouquet that they fulfilled for me through FlowersFast.com was AWFUL! They made A LOT of substitutions when they were not supposed to (was supposed to be told to them by FlowersFast...not sure who missed the ball, the florist or FlowersFast) - but in addition to that, there were several flowers that were drooping, and some were already dying! NOT even close to the bouquet I ordered, not worth the cost, and horrible quality! They did come back out and delivery a new bouquet to correct this, which looked much better though, so that made up for it...sort of. read more

At 10:00 this Saturday morning I ordered flowers and chocolates for my Mom's birthday, to be delivered today (they only work until 1 p.m. Saturdays) They have a national website with recommended arrangements, so I pointed out a few that I liked and their very kind worker JOHANNA said she would make something beautiful along those lines. When I asked if they had something like cookies or cakes to be delivered, she actually OFFERED TO GO to a grocery store nearby to pick something out for me to be delivered with the order. Now that's above and beyond the call of duty, but what a lovely gesture! By 1 p.m. Mom called to tell me the flowers and chocolates had just been delivered and the bouquet was fresh, lush, full, colorful as I had requested, and gorgeous. I have been using this florist for over 5 years. Until recently, I LOVED this place. But, until recently, the manager and the owner have never been in the facility when visited. On 2/14/13, I received what could possibly be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. And this came from the MANAGER, Johanna, with the OWNER, Dean, sitting right beside her. I understand this is a very busy day for a florist, but that is no reason to be dismissive and rude to your customers. I ASKED the rep (who it turns out is Johanna's daughter) if I could get one of the $35.95 arrangements without the vase. When the daughter asked the manager, Johanna replied, "He can take it with the vase." When I explained that I had many vases at home she repeated, "You can take it with the vase, kiddo." (BTW- I am in my mid-40s) She also mentioned something about having a day that was too busy to be bothered with this. When I mentioned to her that I had been a customer for several years, she became very defensive and within minutes of the conversation, asked me to leave and threatened to call the police. At no time did I raise my voice or become belligerent, combative, or use profanity. I simply pointed out that this was not the proper way to treat customers, especially long-standing ones. I would certainly have understood if she had told me in a professional manner that they had a high volume of orders today and could not accommodate any other custom requests. It WAS 4:00pm Valentine's Day and I get it. UNFORTUNATELY for this florist, that is not what happened. FORTUNATELY for me, there is an Albertsons right next door to the florist. The Albertsons cashiers told me that Fletcher Heights Florist actually buys flowers and plants from the grocery store all the time. So I got a beautiful arrangement for $17.95 that was virtually identical to the one I was going to buy for $35.95. And the Albertsons cashiers and florists were not only polite and professional; they were actually nice and acted as if my business mattered to them. So now that I know I can get the same flowers for half the price and be treated with respect, I can't imagine why I would go back to Fletcher Heights Florist. read more

Ordered a corsage for my sons homecoming. It was supposed to be ready at 1. I arrived to pick it up at 1:35 (they closed at 2) and it was not ready. The lady was rude and said it wouldn't be ready for 20 mins. It was $32 and some change and the flowers were not fresh. All the tips were brown and wilting. If I hadn't needed it for tonight I would have complained and requested my money back but I wouldn't have been able to get another one somewhere else on such short notice. I was the only costumer in the place and as I was waiting I heard a baby crying in the back... maybe that's why they couldn't get my order ready on time. At a time that you have a death in the family and you live out of the city, so you call a florist to have flowers delivered. I call this one on Feb. 10,2011 and I did order flowers for my Aunts service, gave all the information including all phone numbers and addresses. Come to find out they never delivered the flowers I ordered and so I called them and talk to a manager (male) and he stated they did not have any record of my order so I told him this is not a good way of running a business and he told me sorry there is nothing I can do for you. He would ask other employees and see what he can come up with about my order. So, I pulled up my cell phone records and I called them back a women answered and I asked to speak with a manager, she said this is, I said I spoke to a man earlier and I wanted to follow up with him on our conversation from this morning, then she said I'm his wife and we have no record of your order and she hung up on me. (she was attitude) I called back and a younger girl answered and I asked to speak with a manager, she told they are not there and I said I just talk to her and she hung up on me and I told her I recognized the her voice, she was the one who took my order, she said there is no record of your order so I started to tell her, I pulled up my cell phone calls and I have where I called them at 10:05 am and I was on with them for 11minutes she said there's nothing I can do about that. This is was a terrible experience. Initially a friend referred me here for their amazing customer service and reasonable prices. I was so disappointed. Over the phone, I explained my situation, said I wouldn't be in town until a few days before prom, but that I wanted spray roses in my corsage and that a friend had gotten hers under xx price. I politely asked her if she could honor that price. She said yes. When I came into the shop the lady (I think the owner) refused to service me. I talked to her daughter instead, who - I would soon discover - didn't really know how to work their computers or count change or showcase flowers. I also discovered they did not have spray roses. Throughout the entire experience I was constantly belittled and subjected to guilt trips. I was subject to extremely passive aggressive remarks concerning how close to the event I wanted the flowers, how cheap of a price she was giving me, how many other arrangements they had to get to, etc. I wish I had walked out right then, but I being with my boyfriend, I didn't want to make a fuss. I walked out a few days later with a giant embarrassing orchid corsage (I had sex organs the size of my palm on my 3in wrist) that had SUPER-GLUED AND RUBBER-BANDED ribbons. It was cheap, ugly, and the rubber bands showed. The year before I got a standard corsage from the local grocer, and although I paid much more at Fletcher Heights, I got so much less... ...It should have been a heartwarming experience. The spray roses were supposed to be a tribute to the night my boyfriend broke my heart, put it back together, and then asked me out... a tribute to a year of holding each other together during some of the worst times of my life. My Brother lives in Palm Springs and is the owner of Over the Rainbow Cupcake Bakery. For my birthday he sent me and arrangement of flowers from Fletcher Heights Florist. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised that these gorgeous flowers were from my brother. But when I saw them I was simply touched, impressed and amazed. I can honestly same though I have received flowers before and I am 45 years old at that. These are by far the most stunning bouquet I have truly ever seen. Would not have given them one star but that was the lowest rating I could give them. The flowers were supposed to be delivered Monday morning but after several phone calls and 2 days of headaches, rudeness and being called a liar... they were delivered Tuesday night at 5:30pm. We were told the flowers were not delivered because no one was home. We insisted that we were at home and that the delivery driver must be going to the wrong house. These arguments last for 2 days where we were told that the driver had tried to deliver them 3 separate times. Johanna insisted that we were wrong (lying) because there driver was very reliable and had worked for them for years. I could not believe that she called us a liar on the phone. She was very rude and unprofessional. I understand that mistakes happen, but for 2 days the flowers were not delivered and we were told we were lying because he came to the home and rang the bell etc. NO HE WAS GOING TO THE WRONG HOUSE LIKE WE SAID!!! We thought it couldn't get any worse until speaking with the owner Dean. She was so rude and unprofessional and actually yelled on the phone. Could not believe how rude she was. The flowers were wilted from sitting in the car all day Monday and all day Tuesday (83 degrees that day) and she said they gave us the product we ordered and that's how she does business and that she was hanging up. Horrible customer service, they delivered a fruit basket to me that had been ordered by my company that I work for, since I recently had back surgery. After having the delivery person bang on the door to deliver, after he left I looked at the basket, the fruit was bruised and old at best, very undesirable, when calling them to have the basket picked up and my company reimbursed because the fruit was damaged, I was told I should go to the store and buy fruit for myself and was hung up on....I tried to call back but they would not answer their phone, so my wife took the basket back to their store, they were not apologetic at all, did not care about customer satisfaction whatsoever, I have never experienced such bad service and rude attitude in my life, the woman working at the store, whom seemed to be the owner did not care at all that I was dissatisfied - warning never order from this company!! read more
