The staff was very courteous and helpful, especially the older gentleman who brought me a shopping basket when he saw the growing number of paint bottles I was holding. As it turned out, they were having a store wide sale which meant I was able to get what I needed for a savings on what I had expected to pay when I walked in the door. I hadn't heard of The Empty Corner until one of my former fitness coaches told us we should patronize the art show he was a part of. The parking lot is a bit small, but it wasn't that big of a deal to park on the street before wrapping presents with the Good Neighbors Network. I recommended the space to my cousin for a family party because it has 2 bathrooms, no specific food attached to it, and a bar space! (I know they have a friend that is a bartender that could run it!) I do like that they offer a variety of classes, but the cookie class is out of my price range of what I would want to pay for my daughter and I to attend. For now, I will keep attending their markets, monthly drum circles, and volunteer opportunities!

I signed up for one design but they are very flexible on what designs you do when you are there, you just have to use the board you signed up for. They also have lazy Susan classes. I saw that they previously did a Chicago bears logo class so I asked to do that and they printed me the picture to trace. The class was 3 hours and it took us the whole time. You have to be patient when wood burning. I really liked my final art! We were provided with instructions on how to take care of it and washing instructions so we can use it with food. I like that it is BYOB! The owner, Krystina, led our class. She was so friendly, patient, and provided great instructions. I'm addicted to wood burning! I will definitely be back!

I spend far too much money on craft supplies. And there are so many crafts I pick up, buy supplies,…read morethen abandon. So I thought this would be a good place to purchase some supplies. It's a little out of the way, and it's a bit of a jumble. Most of these supplies look as though they sat in a warehouse for a long time. You have to be willing to look and search. I'm pretty craft-compulsive, and I bought nothing. Nothing. There were some (longtime?) customers in the store so they must know what they want. I was able to go down aisles, wander down corridors freely and no one bothered me. I suppose if I asked for help I would have gotten it. Sorry but this was not my vibe.
