I have 2 glass panels, approximately 11 3/8 by 24 5/8". I want a leadlike thin frames to be able to hang up with hookd on top. They are a stained glass design on them. Do you have any frames that can be assembled? I also need 2 pieces of acrylic or p

When I was a kid living in New Mexico, my mom bought a piece of art from a man in Old Town…read moreAlbuquerque. I remember her buying it with such pride and then taking it to get framed- it was the first time I realized people valued art in that way. She kept it all these years, and just three years ago it came to me. Recently I brought it to The Custom Framer in Highland Park to be re-matted and reframed. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable asking questions, even with my lack of design knowledge. The process was thoughtful, supportive, and deeply meaningful. This isn't just about framing art--it's about framing memories. I'll treasure this piece in my home and someday pass it to my kids. Highly recommend.

The piece they were framing was an original calligraphy artwork. Debb sent me photos of how it might be framed, suggesting a stunning double-matte of a gold inner matte with a burgundy top matte in an antiqued gold carved frame. In addition to building the frame and all that entails, the shop finished the piece in record time. Numerous emails went back and forth and their patience and professionalism was beyond expectation. Debb and her team made me feel as I was their most valued customer. A thousand, thousand thanks! Mary Delaney

Charlie framed my great-grandmother's coin purse from the 1920s in this beautiful shadowbox frame. Couldn't be happier.

The 'not so great' frame up in Northbrook should be avoided. I've been going to other locations…read morefor years and was always happy with the service. I had two orders at this location and the first order was misplaced or lost by Andy for a week or so. Ok, accidents happen - I figured they'd find it. They did eventually. but Andy was SO RUDE on the phone. Second order was a triptych. 3 pieces in 3 frames. I showed Cheryl a picture of the finished 3 pieces as I wanted them framed. When I went to pick it up, they insisted I gave them one piece. I'm not sure how they managed to mess both orders up, but I had a heated call with Cheryl who just kept saying they never lose anything and that there was only one piece. A few days later, and no call, I decided to disassemble the frame and use it for something else. and - there they were.....They had stacked all 3 pieces as one in the frame. Don't bother with this place - I went 5 minutes down the road to Artist Frame Service. They were professional and didgreat work!

I've been a repeat costumer not only for my personal projects but very often for my company. I called to ask a question, actually I asked to speak to Cheryl (a woman who works there who is absolutely wonderful), but she wasn't there today--unfortunately. The man answering the phone asked if he could take a message, and in turn I said, well maybe you can help me, I have a question.... he said, "Sigh, Ill have to take your number down and call you back, I am the only person in the store today, and have a shop full of customers" in the rudest, most unprofessional tone possible. I stated I was a customer too and hung up. I thought, ok...fine, you don't want my business... that is your decision. Honestly I do like the work I've gotten done here, and the prices are fair (at times), but if you are going to go to this location make sure one of the wonderfully kind women at this shop are there before you risk dealing with this guy. *Lesson for that gentleman who was working at 10 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2014 - Halloween: In customer service, watch your tone, act like you want to help the customer, and just simply say, "Id love to help you, unfortunately I'm swamped as I'm the only person in the store, can I please have a number and get back to you?" Tone is everything, tone would equate understanding, and probably even empathy for you being so busy. There's ways to handle things. Get it together.
