I went to Fleur De Lis with the unhappy task of ordering a casket spray for my mother's funeral. I called and spoke with Christine. Even though they were absolutely slammed with three weddings Christine welcomed me into the shop to have a look at what was available. My mother adored flowers and I really wanted the arrangement to be elegant and beautiful. Christine totally got it. I gave her a floral list of loves, likes and dis-likes and, using a book of samples as a guide, settled on an appropriate budget. Christine looked me in the eye and told me not to worry-that she would create something stunning for my mom. I'm very picky when it comes to flowers; the arrangement was absolutely GORGEOUS. It was not cheap (I chose high end flowers - peonies, orchids, etc) but I felt that I got exactly what I wanted. Love love loved my wedding flowers from Fleur de Lis. I met with Christine there to plan and I really felt like she got the vision I had for my wedding. My bridal bouquet was all baby's breath and was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. She was also super helpful and non-judgmental when we told her how we had to be very budget conscious. Instead, she helped us pick flowers that gave you a lot more bang for your buck like hydrangeas while interspersing a few of our favorites that were more expensive, like lilies. I had originally rated this a 5, but I am going down to a 4 because one of the arrangements that I received only lasted 2 days. I received it on a Wednesday and most of the flowers were fully bloomed and/or dead by Friday, so that was disappointing. The other arrangement that I received on Thursday lasted much longer, so perhaps the flowers in the earlier bouquet were not fresh. Delightful! I had to pick up flowers for my Aunt to deliver to my Mom in the hospital. A friend recommended I try this place and they were wonderful! I told the owner what the flowers were for and she gave suggestions on what to add. I gave her the price I wanted to pay and that I wanted it to include roses. It came out beautiful! And my mom loved it! They were super busy since I went 2 days before Christmas and they were working on an large order and they were able to put together an incredible arrangement. My wife and I booked Fleur De Lis to provide flowers for our wedding, from the bouquet all the way to the center pieces for the table. Service and the quality of flowers were top notch. They were on a list of preferred providers at our wedding venue. We called to setup a consultation. We were married in 2010 and I don't remember the person who did our consult but she was very helpful, knowledgeable, and obviously creative. I still remember how she was speaking and going through various combinations of arrangements. It was very interesting speaking with her. The arrangements were beautiful and many guests complimented us on them, they even worked with our budget allowing us to buy cheap vases and drop them off so they could use them for our arrangements. To this day I still use Fleur De Lis for any occasion I need flowers. They provide better quality and service than rip off websites like ProFlowers or 1800flowers. Those websites just call local florists anyway. Help out a small business and call them directly. Every time I get flowers from Fleur De Lis they stay healthy and beautiful anywhere from 2-3 weeks after getting them. read more

When shopping around for a wedding florist, I almost didn't go to my appointment with Christina because her email was a little uninformative and curt. I'm glad I did - she easily understood exactly what I wanted and even whipped up a little sample bouquet right on the spot. She was really sensitive to both our preferences and our budget, and the bouquets she created exceeded our expectations and were just beautiful. As for some of the reviews she's received, she is pretty high-intensity, so I can see how some people might not be into that if they need a little more bedside manner and coddling from their wedding florist. BUT she really is great at (and gets excited about) what she does...that's what sold me, and I wasn't disappointed with the results. read more

I have been meaning to write this review all summer! I ordered flowers from these guys back in May for a wine tasting we were hosting, and unfortunately all of our arrangements have to be scent-free so they don't throw off the wine. This is not the easiest thing when it comes to flowers. These guys went above and beyond my expectations, the arrangments were scent free and absolutely GORGEOUS. Wonderful florists in the center of Baltimore. I dropped in to see if they could pull together a fresh cut flower arrangement and they allowed me free run of the cases to choose from. They asked my price range and allowed me choose whatever I wanted and built a beautiful bouquet around it filling in with the appropriate colors and styles. The staff was incredibly helpful answering my questions and told me that if I ever need specific types and colors that with only a days notice they can get most anything. I had a bad experience there. I thought of hiring them for our wedding because I thought they were very talented. Maybe they are. Unfortunately, my husband and I found the staff rude and extremely stressful. The manager in particular. The first time I had her on the phone, she seems very mad and I thought she was having a bad day. When my husband called her a few days later, he had a similar experience. We were about to cancel our appointment but we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. During the appointment, she was not listening to our requests and kept on interrupting us. It was just a bad experience. I'm sorry but I can't imagine having a professional stressed over flowers at a wedding. Flowers are supposed to bring beauty and peace to the hectic day. These florists are true artists. At first I was nervous trying to arrange flower service in Baltimore, calling from all the way in Portland, Oregon! I could not attend my boyfriend's art opening at SophiaJacob Gallery there, but wanted to give him flowers to try and be present in spirit. I did some online research and decided to go with Fleur De Lis, because they felt the most creative. Their perfectly professional and friendly service eased any concerns I had immediately. Because I could not be there in person, I had no way of really visualizing what it was I wanted to send, and requested "something unusual, but masculine" for him. I could never have imagined that what they came up with would be so stunning, especially for such a reasonable price! The photos I received were breathtaking. Not only did the flowers arrive to the gallery on time, the curator was so taken by the arrangement that he added it to the artwork, displaying it in the window for the opening reception.
