The service is great (the owner is lovely), and the bouquets/vases I've received from the Modest Florist are always beautiful. Whenever I need a vase to take to someone local, I'll be buying them here! The delivery service is also very convenient! I feel lucky to have them in Hampden!

I didn't know what to expect, because the shop was closed due to COVID measures. They had limited inventory (mind you, I waited until only a few days before Mother's Day) and the prices were steep. Still, I wanted to gift my mother a petunia hanging basket and so I placed my order. The lady in charge of entering and processing my order did a fantastic job. It was seamless. She promised me she would "pick out a nice one" and boy did she; the purple petunia hanging basket was full and healthy, it overflowed -- and it was the smallest (cheapest) I could buy (afford). My mother adored the flowers and you could tell that this local business puts their hearts into fulfilling orders. It was easy, seamless, and in the end, worth every dollar spent. Plus, I feel good about helping a local business during this madness of COVID. Thank you so much, Janda Florists!

Their on line system asked who the sender was (me) which caused the people filling the order some confusion which caused the first delay. Once that was straightened out, I asked that the flowers be delivered in the morning, not to leave them at the door or with a neighbor and instead to call me if they can't leave the flowers with the recipient. They said sure, no problem, they would do this. They didn't. Called them at 11:30 a.m. the flowers weren't delivered - was told the driver was back from morning funeral deliveries which "took priority". My delivery was in Cockeysville about 15 minutes from Janda, so, that made no sense. By 3:45 p.m. received an email flowers were delivered but hadn't heard from my friend, which was odd. Called Janda and they said the driver left the flowers with a random person who said they knew my friend and said they could get the flowers over tonight. Thank goodness there are a ton of other florists to choose from. Don't bother with this one unless you don't care when the flowers are delivered or who they are delivered to... Spent $116.00 to do something nice for someone that was completely botched by Janda's horrible service. Don't waste your money.

The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. Parking is a little annoying but its expected for the area. You get a rewards card towards your purchase that can be used either at the florist or the cafe interchangeably. Jacque answered the phone with such a cheerful and energetic voice! She was thrilled to help me with my special order and made suggestions when I told her the occasion and colors. Then I asked her about the shop and she told me that her grandfather started the business in 1930 with its original location in the Lord Baltimore Hotel. A third generation Florist, Jacque is an award winning floral designer and I felt like I was receiving concierge service for a flower order!! I went to a viewing at Vaughn Greene on Liberty Rd, and there was this beautiful arrangement that depicted the colors for both the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. We wanted to arrange flowers ourselves for a memorial party and Avalon was so helpful in picking types of flowers that would fit the vibe and color palette we were looking for. All I had to tell her was the event, sizes and quantity of vases and about my grandmothers personality and she designed the order perfectly! She took the stress out of having to choose my own and place a bulk order online, she is so detail oriented and even chose greenery that would accent the flowers chosen. She even timed when to take them out of fridges and when to cut them so they opened perfectly for the event time.
