So when one of the guys at my husband's shop told us about this place, and that they delivered to our town for €3, I was ecstatic. The only downfall is they're closed on Wednesday's and open at 4:30pm during the week. On weekends they're open from 11:30 to 1:30pm as they serve lunch. They're also family owned so you'll see the son and daughter making pizzas or prepping crusts when you pick up your order. It's a very small shop but everything is super fresh and tasty. Their pizzas are served on a wonderfully fluffy crust with a nice crunch along the edges. Of course I got excited when I saw they had Hawaiian pizza on their menu for €13,30(large) because I'm that person who loves pineapple on pizza. The cheese is ooey gooey and stretches away from the slice when you bite in and the pineapples are nice and juicy. They've also got bread knots and chicken wings which are super tasty. Christoph's is a take out only place and if you call ahead your order is usually ready within 15-25 minutes depending on how busy they are. We've ordered from them a few times since it's on our way home from the air base so our orders are usually ready within the 20 minutes it takes to get there from the main gate. So far I've had nothing but good experiences with Christoph's and I think I've found my go to pizza place while we're stationed in Germany.

After being sitting and ordering, the service got marginally better, but low energy and not very helpful. Chicken/Waffle was ok, the waffle was good; sweet, soft and yummy. However, the chicken leaved a lot to be desired. It was overly simple and very bland. The dish took quite a while for us, perhaps 20 min. Hot Dogs Just know that these hot dogs are different. Despite altering the toppings to their liking, my children wouldn't eat much of the dog. They did not like the taste, and tasing it myself, it definitely tastes different. To be fair, the server warned us it was a different type of sausage, but I had no idea it'd be that different. Mozzarella Sticks These were decent. We shared them and they were enjoyed. These felt 'middle of the road'; decent cheesy taste with an ok crumbly exterior. Chili Cheese Nuggets Understand this is cheese and chili peppers breaded and deep fried. We had other assumptions and should have asked. They were pretty good despite having 'frozen food aisle' vibes. I will update my review after trying their wings...

Some might call those nuggies. Whatever. I've tried the lemon peppers, the sweet chili Buffalo, and a few of the different celebrity inspired ones. I think the sweet chili Buffalo will become my go to, but I plan to try more. I would say that the fries are just okay. I try to get the sour cream on the side because I feel like it makes the fries too soggy before I have the chance to eat it (I only do takeout). Overall, these are decent and convenient so I'll be here again.

I've had the Jäger schnitzle most recently which is a popular German dish of fried pork cutlet with a brown mushroom and onion gravy. The onions were super sweet - almost too sweet, but that didn't make me not like the dish. To drink I discovered they had Delirium Red on tap! On tap! That is one of my favorite beers and as an American in the US it's hard to find and when you do it's super expensive! So I was stoked to get that here on tap, one after the other. My husband ordered the chicken wings, and he did wish they were crispier and had more flavors to choose. He loves wings so because of the lack of crisp and flavor he won't be ordering those again. He also had the "Pizza" schnitzle which is another fried pork cutlet with a bunch of toppings and then covered in cheese. It was delicious! This is a beer place so I can't complain about having limited tequila options, but I do wish it had more than Jose Cuervo Gold (Public Service Announcement to De Belgium Bistro: most expats hate Cuervo). The staff is friendly and accommodating and one thing for Americans to remember is that in EU if you want service you have to ask for it - don't be offended just take control of your own experience. I look forward to my next evening at De Belgium Bistro! Prost!
