The next morning, less than 24 hours after the initial purchase, I attempt to return the dress and the owner said, "I can't believe you would ask to return this." I was a new customer and was not told the store policy at the time of purchase. Essentially, I was punished for shopping there. I faced a hardship because I did not look and read every single thing on her cluttered counter. I could understand refusing the return had the dress been worn, or if the return date was lengthy, but she refused to return my money because there was nothing else in the store worth purchasing. The most challenging part was the owner's deplorable attitude. She only cared about how the purchase impacted her, not me. Had she returned this item, I would have been likely to patronize her business in the future, now, all I will do is avoid it and warn others to be 100% certain of their purchase.

Their elementary school celebrates Buffalo Bills team every Friday during the football season. Why buy brand new when you can find almost for significantly less money! The men's department yielded up a dozen brand new basketball shorts with the tag still on for only $4.99. We grabbed a good handful of those. All in all another, very successful trip to the Amvets Thrift Store.

They have clothes for kids, teens, and adults -- some new, some consignment -- and the consignment pieces are so pristine you'd swear the previous owner bought them, lovingly removed the tags, whispered affirmations over them, and then never wore them once. And it doesn't stop at clothing. Oh no. There's furniture, small appliances, baby items, exercise gear, bedding, health and beauty goodies (from really good brands, too). You name it, they probably have it. And if they don't today... check back next week, because the inventory changes constantly. One of my favorite things is how active they are on Facebook -- posting new arrivals, sale alerts, and little contests so you can plan your visit like a highly strategic shopping mission. They further went on to state, they had nothing "tagged" for me since last December.... you literally cannot randomly drop off items, you need an appointment which I had January 26, 2026! The owner had her manager call me, who I had spoke to about these coats twice. Since they take your items and you get no ticket, ...they win! Bad business practice. Whoever took these coats has some nice winter wear.
