This place is pretty amazing!! Super clean, organized, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. I have been here several times and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to relax and forget about our hectic world. You come in and you enter your own private room with shower, ear plugs, towels, shampoo and conditioner. Be prepared to be floating for 75 min and simply meditate and think about nothing. Floating and feeling nothing is spectacular. The giant freezer like float tanks are extremely spacious, don't think of it like a tanning tube where you can't move. It's more like a walk in deep freezer. The owner walked us through the place our first time popping our heads in randomly one day and being able to see the size and shape of the tanks really help to put my claustrophobic fears to rest. Clean and such a zen space, you will be sure to feel the relaxation and calmness everyone seeks in our fast paced world. Book yourself at least a couple hours when you come so you can leisurely enjoy the space and stop at the chill room before proceeding with the rest of your day. The chill room! Oh my goodness I want a room like this is my house. Complete with an array of books, a journal you can leave an entry in about your float experience, a loving wall, free tea, and recently added a guitar for those musical souls. Wonderful staff! I have to say something about the staff too, we always have great conversations with them, they have lots of great ideas and overall we have enjoyed getting to know them all as we continue to come and float. The floathouse is a really special experience. My first time coming here was on Blue Monday - they had a special for people who had never tried float before to try a full float (1hr) for free. They gave a tour and explained exactly what floating was about, how to insert ear plugs properly and what exactly the Vaseline was for. It was not some magical experience of life changing proportions. I was a bit nervous at first to go in a chamber (6ft cubed or so), completely in the dark. What if I panic? What if I can't find the door? Am I really going to float? What if I feel closterphobic? What if...what if... At floathouse they actually have an option to do it fully dark or to have a dim light on. The light doesn't enter the chamber MUCH, but it outlines the doors and walls so that you get a sense of where you are. I tried the first time I did it with the light on for comfort but have since gone with no lights and loved it. I really like completely letting go and sometimes your head feels like you are in an antigravity chamber...spins a bit. Best things about floathouse: 1. Friendly staff are super welcoming and helpful 2. Beautiful environment, peaceful interior sets the mood. 3. Tea and relax after the float in a little separate room. 4. The owner of this business is outstanding- I can't sing his praises enough. I texted in to book a first float for my partner and I, and the process was seamless. We arrived early and Dominick spent some time one-on-one with us explaining how the process works, and talking to us about our expectations and how to get the most out of our experience. This part alone blew me away. The first float was really interesting and well worth it. I won't speak too much about it- I think everyone needs to try this themselves and go in without too many expectations. Long story short, I decided to purchase a monthly membership and have been back since. My friend had been wanting to try a float forever. I had heard of the concept but hadn't looked into trying it myself. When she asked if I'd like to join her on her first try, I agreed. I didn't know if it'd be my thing but hey, you never know if you don't try. The Float House couldn't be a better place for a first experience. The staff was friendly and encouraged a relaxing atmosphere. The modern decor was minimalistic, clean, and inviting. The prices were much more reasonable than I was anticipating! You get a private room complete with a shower and your cabin (large floating tub). We went in for 75 minutes, which may seem long, but it's a great way to unwind and it doesn't feel like time drags. In the darkness, the warm salt imbued water floats you effortlessly, and ear plugs help you completely zone out. It's also great for stretching sore muscles... but word to the wise... don't let the water drop from your hand into your nose! Haha chalk that up to user error. Soft music plays to alert you when your time is up, and from there you shower and dress. They keep necessities like a blow drier and qtips in a common area incase you didn't bring anything (I definitely didn't bring anything I needed haha). After which, they have a relaxation lounge when you can bring yourself back to the real world, enjoy a cup of tea, read, and chat with any other willing guests. Needless to say, it was exactly what my friend needed, and I found it great to completely unplug, unwind and just enjoy the experience. Highly recommend, I'll be back for sure. read more

This place was amazing! I really didn't know what to expect, as this was my first time trying a float, and it was a really cool experience. The place itself is super cool, with a plant wall and separate area for freshening up. There's also a room where you can relax after the float and enjoy a tea. I like trying new things, and this is way up there on the new experiences chart! I went in with the preconceived notion that it was a bit 'out there', and it was....until I actually got into the water. I actually found it super relaxing. Things I was worried about before (and what actually happened): -being naked (you are in a private room, and it didn't seem weird once I was alone), -I thought I would feel claustrophobic (the tank is quite large; I could stand up and walk around...I didn't feel claustrophobic one bit, and there is the option to leave the tank door open if you are anxious) -I thought I wouldn't like complete darkness (there is an option for subtle lighting, but I thought the colour might annoy me so I opted for pitch black and it was great.) -I was worried I would wonder about the time (maybe I was having a relaxed day, but I didn't have to get out during the 75 minutes to check if I'd been forgotten or peek at the time) -I thought I might get cold (don't splash around in the water and it is quite comfortable) I'm a stay at home mom and this was the exact opposite of my daily life. Quiet, dark, no demands, no little groping hands (I should hope not!) In other words, bliss! It is pricey for my budget, so I won't be doing it often. Overall it seemed very clean and cared for (the slippers were a bit ratty, which was a put off right at the beginning). The staff were patient and kind to us newbies. I would say if you are looking for a unique experience to try meditation, or relaxation, this may be something you want to try. read more

I have been coming here for the last six months and I am greeted every time with the same friendly smile and attitude. I signed up for the monthly package, but am thinking to upgrade to every two weeks just for the huge positive benefits I have been receiving both mentally and physically. Personally, I have really tight shoulders and neck muscles as that is where I carry all my tension and stress. I definitely notice after coming out of floating the release! This location had an awesome layout, the float tanks are the largest around the city, the showers are spacious and I don't feel claustrophobic in the actual tank. The best nook is their sofa and tea room where you can unwind pre and post float. Cleanliness is huge for me and this place definitely hits full marks with sanitation. They even have an assortment of post float hair and skin products for you to look your best after your float. Give it a try, you won't regret it!!! read more

Float House is literally the most amazing space & therapeutic, extrasensory enhancing yet also incredibly calming and lucid-inducing experience I've had in my entire Life. Not only is this beneficial on such a plethora of levels, medically, physically, mentally, spiritually, & psychologically for my mental health issues, but on top of that everyone who works here from the owner to every employee literally makes me feel like they're one of my best friends every time I go there. The whole place & decor and the experience itself literally makes me think I just time travelled to a post-apocalyptic society in the future where people finally understand their higher selves & know how to access lucid dream states & supernatural abilities on a daily basis. Im a trained orthomolecular doctor & postdoctoral interdisciplinary scholar, & I honestly haven't ever found anything comparable to this. Everyone is unique in how they experience floating, but regardless even when I don't have a perfect float I know the medicinal & therapeutic effects on my body and mind are undeniable, whether for physical pain, mental health or spiritual balance. Canceled my membership in October after doing this on and off for a while. I decided it just wasn't worth my money. For $40 a month I could get a few yoga classes. For $10 more I could get a membership at a pool with a sauna that I could use every day. Floating is very specialized and you need specialized equipment, so I understand the cost. It was just hard for me to spend that kind of money on something I could only do once a month. If the staff are reading this, the vents in the float cabins and area with hair dryer are SUPER DIRTY omg. Please clean them. I looked up during my shower and saw massive dust bunnies. My initial thoughts towards the staff were bang on, unfortunately. Floating was not a social thing for me but the staff never respected my closed off body language or one word answers. I did not want to talk or make friends, I wanted to get into a tank and be isolated. I'd go in the mornings and just wasn't ready for conversation. They are very involved and concerned with each person who floats, so that could be a plus or a minus depending on what you're after. But at my job I would never try and engage a regular who obviously doesn't want to have a conversation. Floating is great though, and I'd recommend it if you have the cash to spare. Never had a problem with bookings or anything like that, and asides from the vents it's very clean. I saw and heard them run the filters on the tanks. read more

I've gone for two floats now and I cannot put words to what I experienced either time - both being so different! The first time after getting into the water, I said to myself "what the "h" am I going to do for 75 minutes?"...then the music alerted me that my time was up....I wasn't ready! I had an epiphany while floating - something that was so simple, yet ate away at my brain for months not knowing how to resolve it. Second float was a game changer! I was able to actually for the first time in years, turn OFF my brain...don't know how I did it but I was astounded that I "went somewhere else"...and BOY did I sleep that night!! (another problem I struggle with is insomnia.) And again, 75 minutes - poof - up in no time! This place is amazing . Dominic greets you and is so knowledgeable , zen and friendly . He explains the whole process from the benefits to the how tos . The place is beautiful , clean and well equip . Nice shower and products for same in your private room . The float itself for me is incredible . I have a very active mind , probably ADD . Dominic helped me by telling me just let whatever happens happen . Don't push yourself with expectations just experience it .The first time I floated I was in excruciating pain ( sciatica ) it was the only relief I had had in 4 days of day and night pain . I had an amazing experience , I felt so good afterwards . The pain was still there but I had mental and physical relief and my mind set was way better . My second float was even better . I will be a floater , it is amazing to let go and just relax ! Afterwards there's an area with all products , creams , hair stuff , hair dryer , q tips etc you need. After you are done they have a lovely room with comfy couches , pillows , even cozy throws if you are chilly . Make yourself a nice cup of tea and relax after your float . I brought my book and read and relaxed it was wonderful . This place is great , give it a try ! read more
