The staff is always so nice and attentive and helpful, all of them, but occasionally, someone will stand out as a shining star, a perfect example of customer service that it delights me toI write a review and tell about my experience. This one is Marcos. He is the BEST!! If you go to the Boynton Beach Floor and Decor, you will be very BLESSED if you get Marcos to assist you. This young man is a wealth of knowledge and experience. His assistance absolutely made my day as I was needing so much help. I'm a single 58 year old female remodeling a home and doing many projects myself. I always have a lot of questions. customer service is subpar... "do you know where i could find something in a porcelain black?" "if it's not in that isle then i don't know" more importantly, even if you use a debit card for purchases it takes 7-10 business days for it to be refunded to your account if you return something. debit is equal to cash any other place i have ever spent my money. even more awesome... if you require a refund for a return over $500 you will be mailed a check from their corporate office within 60 days! i will never purchase anything from floor & decor again. i urge anyone to go elsewhere, where their are better customer friendly policies. read more

We entered Floor and Decor and our heads were immediately spinning with the multitude of tile selections. Thankfully we were approached by Sharon who was extremely professional and knowledgeable. From tile selection to grout to schluters (didn't know what they were and that I even needed them), she was on the mark. What would have taken us hours upon hours to make our selections was minimized because of her skill, knowledge and keen eye. I usually don't leave any review online, good or bad. But what happened to me this past week was bad enough that I decided to leave one. The first time I went there, I spent about 45 mins walking around, I noticed that one of the spanish looking sale rep there kept giving me dirty looks. I figured, he probably had a bad day, probably from moving heavy stuff around all day, so I didn't think much of it. Its not like he was the only rep there. The second time I went there, I saw the same rep who gave me the dirty looks, he had walked by me 3 times, so I figured I may as well ask him about the tiles I wanted to buy, since no other reps were around, but ended up not saying anything, because as I was about to turn around to ask him a question, he gave me the same dirty look and a cold laugh as he was turning away. Its been a while since I encounter any rude sales rep, so I am like whatever, I will ask someone else. The very last time I went there (the 3rd time), I had to pick up material with some friends, to start the floor job. One of my friend said this to me "do you know someone that works here?" I was like: no, why? He goes, that guy who just walked past you behind you gave you a funny look. It turns out it was the same guy. This review should have been a 1 star, base on my experience there the first 3 times. However, I realized that the review of the company should not be bases on the 3 bad experience I had with the same sales rep. On the 3rd visit (the one my friend had told me about the funny looks that same guy gave me), I ran into a very helpful sales rep who gave me a lot of advise on picking the tiles for my kitchen color combo and he even helped me to carry the stuff out to my truck. I gave the guy a $25 tip, for being so helpful and polite. I wished all the other sales rep there were at least half as helpful and polite as this last guy. They really need to improve their customer service, and somehow filter out all the bad apple(s). The product selections they offer is huge, and their pricing is pretty good compare to other local shops. I would still recommend it for those who wants to save money and able to choose from a large selection, but don't expect too much from the customer service side. I was actually ignored on the 2nd visit twice by two different rep there, which I did not mention. If that last rep wasn't so polite and helpful to me on the 3rd visit, I would have gone somewhere else. 3 strikes you are out. read more

ABSOLUTE WORST! Never again. I spent 2 hours in the store this morning confirming they had in stock exactly what I ordered. After showing back up with a trailer and waiting over an hour (after being told 20 minutes) they then tell me they didn't have it in stock. The manager named Pierre could not have been ruder and acted like it was no big deal. I would rather spend more money at Home Depot than walk back in this place. They don't deserve 1 star but I have to give that to leave the reveiw. read more

I drove thirty minutes to check this store out. I arrived at 10, which means the store had been open for a few hours. 2 out of 3 aisles I needed to look down were blocked off while they were adding new stocks. Why would this not be done before or after the store opens or closes? After 15 minutes of standing around I left. I drove all the way to not even get to look at what I needed. Shame. read more

Really? No... REALLY Floor and Décor? I will warn you now, this is not going to be sweet. We purchased our laminate from F&D, we were told that it was going to take 3 weeks for it to be delivered. When I called, (after 3 weeks had past), I was told that they couldn't find our order. This was an omen for what was coming. The person on the phone said that she was going to have her manager call me back, because he was on another call and they needed to 'research' our situation. About 3 hours pass, and I decide to call back. They found our order! Yay... Are we done? NOPE. As it turns out, they screwed up the order and they knew this and yet never called to tell us that it was going to be delayed an extra week. I don't know about you, but if you are buy flooring timing is pretty important, right? Maybe it's just me... Had the issue only been that the order was going to take an extra week, I think I would have been ok with it. This is when it gets fun. They didn't order the right amount. They were short 36 boxes of flooring. 36, that's quite a bit. We were told that WE had to drive to Hialeah to pick up the rest of the boxes. How many of you want to spend your Saturday driving from Boynton Beach to Hialeah? Anyone? No? Me either. So here we are, trying to move into our new home and instead of doing other things on a weekend we are stopping our plans because Floor and Décor refused to deliver or pick up the flooring for us (we were told they didn't have any drivers available on the weekend). Of course we made a pretty big stink about this to the manager. He said that he would compensate us for having to drive to Hialeah but we had to pick it up first then he would compensate us. This was a red flag. After all of this, we were compensated $70. Yup. We spent over $2000 and got an insulting $70 dollars back for THEIR screw up. That's 3.5%! We had to hire a sitter to watch the baby, since we had to remove the carseat from the back seat so we could fold down the seats so 36 boxes of flooring would fit in our car. Floor and Décor YOU screwed up the order. You didn't order the right amount of flooring. You failed to call and inform us of this error that you were made aware of. You did nothing to help us. Here is my advice, if you don't care about people and don't want to help them with their flooring then don't be in the service industry. Do something else, anything else. You were supposed to provide us with a service. You failed. Just because you offer great prices on flooring doesn't mean to get to treat people like this. Could we have fought this more with management? Yes, but we have so much to do now that we are way behind schedule to call and sit on the phone with them. Floor and Décor, if you want to make this up to us. Come help us install the laminate to make sure we move in on time. read more

If you're looking for service here, you're in for a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Called looking to see if this store has a particular sink in stock. I was thinking, if they have it in stock, I can pay for it over the phone and have the sink picked up, since it's so far from my home. You call and are immediately placed on hold. Not once, not twice, not three times, but 4 times I called and was on hold for more than 20 minutes each time. When I called the fourth time, I explained that I had called several times and was placed on hold for more than 20 minutes each time. I insisted on speaking to a manager and requested not to be placed on hold. Well, I was immediately told "please hold" and once again placed on hold indefinitely. After 20 minutes I hung up and will now have to travel 45 minutes, since they are the only store that supposedly has this sink! Extremely disappointed and do not recommend. read more

I recently visited the store a received the worst service ever. This store does not care about customer service at all. We found the flooring that we were going to purchase but there was not enough in the bin. I casually asked a sales person for help knowing he was working with someone else and just let him know when he was done I would like his assistance. 20 min later and no help in sight I decide that maybe it best to see if anyone else could help me. I was told the gentleman I was waiting on was the only one in the store who could help me. Another 20 min later he finishes with his customer and then proceeds to start to talk to 2 other customers and asks another person to help me. So the guy says to me be patient with me I do not work in this department and I do not know where anything is. My wife and I went to the front of the store and asked to see a manager and after another 5 min of waiting we decided that we would take our business somewhere else. I have made purchases here in the past and have mixed feelings, they typically have a good selection and decent pricing, but as a consumer spending my hard earned money I think retail needs to realize they are in business to provide customer service. I will never go back to this store and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Came in with intention of purchasing flooring for my entire home. Was greeted by a cashier upon entry who paged a sales associate. Up walks Cleveland who seemed disinterested in being at work that day work and obviously did not have our best interests in mind. He reluctantly presented a few tile samples. Being educated consumers we knew what we were looking for, selected a tile and wanted to purchase the materials and installation services on the spot. Cleveland who was less than helpful was more interested in the text messages on his personal cell phone and walked away and left us to wallow about looking for help. We left and are taking our business elsewhere. Now I know why this place has such poor reviews. read more

Just got back from shopping at this establishment. The selection is very good, and the prices are fair. The service for the most part, was rude and uncaring. One gentleman showed us to the tile area we were looking for, He was friendly and helpful. The checkout girl however was simply unpleasant. She never addressed us, looked up at us, or, God forbid, thanked us for shopping there. Another checkout lady was talking to a fellow worker for a while even though a customer was waiting to be checked out. Not a store for good customer service! read more

This store is huge and it is EXTREMELY difficult to get anyone to help you with your purchase, or to find a cart to put your items on, or to check out. The monster store is understaffed, under organized, and while there appears to be alot of choices much of what they have is very similar, so if you want LARGE format tile they have a decent selection. Nothing you can't find elsewhere at very siilar pricing. No shopping carts available on a week night...seriously? When was the last time anyone could carry boxes of marble around a store while shopping? There are so many other tile shops with much better organization and staff to help with pick up and delivery options and other stors have similar pricing DON"T do it! Go, no better RUN somewhere else and pass on the aggravation! I have remodeled homes in the Northeast and used The Tile Shop and there is NO comparision. The The Tile Shop is so well organized, calm, clean, and the staff is so knowledgable and HELPS you at every turn! NEVER again will I shop at any Floor and Decor. read more

Excellent selection and prices, shop around and this store can't be beat

Pros: Great selection of materials. Cons: Customer service is a problem. Staff is either too busy or just un available. If you find the right person you can get help. The managers are flooring creeps and know nothing. Be prepared for self service. Otherwise you'll have to wait for when they're darn good and ready to help you and you'll have to ask over and over to get it. Also the materials get handled a lot and get broken so I advise you hand select natural stones or you'll have a lot of broken pieces by the time you get them home. Ordering online is also a pain. The item numbers don't match up so you'll have to call and wait for a sales person to complete you order. Once this is done and if you have a ship to the store order you'll have to call over and over to find out if it's there. I have been trying for almost a week with no luck. That is very frustrating. I am a GC and have been doing this for years so I am not new to the game. Floor and Decor has a long ways to go with their customer service both on the web and at their Boynton Beach store. read more

We started renovations on our home last Fall and I was lucky to connect with designer Sharon Bunn on my first trip to the Boynton Beach store. The store is a treasure trove of fantastic tiles, countertops, tools, and materials. Sharon listened to my initial ideas and "got it" ... she was like having a long time friend there for that valued second opinion. Her knowledge of design, the store and products was invaluable. We worked together seamlessly ... never any pressure to sell, just truly looking out for us. After a 4 month hiatus due to a family illness, I returned today to begin phase 2 - our master bedroom & bath. I was thrilled to walk in & see Sharon. She immediately picked up where we left off & wrapped up our order, thinking of all those little details I wasn't aware of. I am so excited to see our choices come to life! Couldn't be happier with the service. This place is huge and has more flooring than you have ever seen in one place, My husband and I were greeted right when we walked through the door by Steve who walked us over to the wood department and introduced us to Mike who could not have been more knowledgable and patient. He walked us through the whole department and helped us select a beautiful stranded bamboo for far less than we saw at other places. If you are even thinking of putting in new floors you have to check this place out. read more

I visited the Boynton Beach store and was impressed with the selection of bath wall tile and backsplash/trim. The staff was very nice and tried to be helpful. However, I was completely taken aback by the fact that they did not have plain white matte floor tiles ! Seriously!! I was looking for rectangular ones (12" x24" or 8" x 24") similar in size to the wall tile I selected but would have settled for square other than 4"x4". I ended up at Pino Tile but would have preferred to deal with only place. I have another bathroom to renovate but will look for a one-stop store then. read more

We spent two hours with her today in picking bath tile for four baths we are re-doing in CHICAGO! The worse store ever. No customer service, no help and no resolutions. Bought from this store 500 sq feet of premium quality marble. This is after we begged someone to help. Paid an additional amount to have it delivered $150. When they delivered, they brought 3 different pallets. We laid down the 1st pallet, then we tried to lay down the 2nd, but noticed it was a different colored marble instead. When confronting the store, they first offered to take back everything we have left (not used) and will give me a refund for the non-used merchandise. Then, when I started to get annoyed by their customer service behavior and started arguing with them, they said they will give me the full refund. I immediately asked, what about the labor work already done? They said that will be our responsibility. I am now out of pocket $1100 for the work done in our house, even though Home and Decor made this error. Bad service, bad practice, bad store. read more

Had one of the worst buying experiences ever. I needed 1600 sq ft of floor tile, bathroom tile etc. Finally got some help and spent over an hour selecting tile. After all of this, the salesperson informed us that the tile was not in stock and would take six weeks to get it. So we started over. Again, after all of this and at the register to pay a 3700 dollar tab we were informed, in front of a dozen other customers that were waiting in line for twenty mins., that our check was no good and I could pay with a credit card. I refused the whole order. Funny part is there is enough in that account to pay that bill 100 times over. The manager offered no help at all and was disrespectful. Further they were supposed to deliver the material in 3 weeks and I wasn't leaving the store with 1 cent of their material. Plenty of time for the check to clear OR don't deliver the tile. Management was totally incompetent and should be on welfare. Found out later that they did the same thing to a good friend only he paid with his credit card...Ill go elsewhere. read more

Don't have them ship anything!!! They don't care- this message sent to customer service two times with never even a response on 6/29 I placed order at your Boynton beach store with david schwinge at the pro desk. the order was in the amount of 8290.05 it was to be delivered to north Carolina from the Atlanta store with explicit instructions to ship on a flatbed with a moffet as its a log cabin on a hill Dave does not recall me giving these instructions but I have had all deliveries arrive this way I had asked it to be delivered July 11 on Monday. I was called a few days later with freight costs of 689.00 I never received a call and the product did not show up. I began calling on Tuesday or wed night and discovered they had it at AAA cooper and could not deliver as it was a closed 60ft tractor trailer. Never a call to tell me it was held up. Dave was on vacation so Cemar tried to help when I called but was very busy and asked I call back if he forgot to follow up. Since Dave was on vacation no one was able to help- store manager steve purington never involved and is yet to contact me. A person named Michael Reagan contacted me to assist and now its 4 days later and I have a crew in town and are paying food and meals and they tell me they have a solution for a truck. I call again and again and everyone goes home wed with no phone call to me. Thursday AM a guy named red says they can pickup and deliver except that AAA cooper whos dispatcher was very rude had the shipment out for delivery. Told me this is typical of floor and décor and he will send back to the store. Two days later It arrived and I had to go and rent a skidsteer with forks. Cost 325.00 Still no call or follow up from manager or anyone. I went to the Boynton store yesterday 7/19 and spoke with Dave Schwinge and asked him to speak with store manager Steve purington- he was busy and on a conference call- two days later still no call. I will quote your people in that we are not Lowes and cant do what they do when I told him I am receiving shipments from them on flatbeds with a moffett. I am sure this is not what you want to hear about your competition. He agreed to refund me 200.00 did not cover the rental of forklift so over 125.00 and no call or consideration here we are. 125.00 is a weak battle line to draw over what I was put through. . You have issues with freight according to your people as you are at the mercy of AAA cooper and others- Suggestion invest in trucks. Second I am a Vice President of the second largest equipment mfg/dealer in the world and I understand the challenges of logistics and business but poor customer communication is not forgivable. I repeatedly begged to get service and this was very stressful. I did not ask to be reimbursed for the hotels and meals as I was paying for a crew that drove 700 miles to do my floors I simply asked to speak to the manager and to be re-imbursed for my rental(not the 3 hours of my time) I am yet to hear from manager and at this time would prefer to hear from Stan Labanowitz the regional manager- local store could not provide a contact number. I would appreciate a call from him. I have also reached out to tom Taylor your CEO on linkedin because as senior management I know how important good feedback can be. I am not Mad I am not angry but simply disappointed in how this transaction transpired and most of all the lack of any resemblance of customer service. Not a single person cared about me or my order and this became very clear as we tried to work through this and no one saw it through.
