I came down to Delray Beach after a condo flood in my 90 year old mothers home. My wife stayed home in Ohio to look after her and left me to do all the decisions. Being on my own and behind the eight ball since any or all decisions made wrong could put me in a time out with my mother and my wife. Sharon stepped up and gave me her undivided attention. She was very helpful in steering me to products that will blend and match as well as the proper materials for finishing the job. I had the best time ever in Floor & Decor yesterday. Usually I am overwhelmed there and I had no idea that you could get free design assistance and well it is a game changer. I worked with Sharon Dunn and she was creative helpful knowledgeable and helped me find the most amazing finish for my flooring needs. And she did not stop there. She did all of the calculations for the thinset and grout and appropriate colors. And then she did not stop there she got the whole order together organized for pickup and payment. Beware of this store. They do not stand behind their products! I purchased Nucor flooring, and Floor and Decor is the sole distributor. The Nucor flooring was professionally installed by experienced installers, and the floor began lifting and buckling within a month. Floor and Decor inspected the floor and claimed it wasn't installed properly, and that the sun shone on it and made it buckle. Seriously, the sun shone on it. They basically told me tough knuckles. This Nucor material was defective and Floor and Decor doesn't want to stand behind what they sell. The store is pretty but the corporate ethos is ugly!!! read more

Yesterday, January 30 my wife and I went to Floor and Decor to pick out tile for the shower on our home in Delray Beach. While standing near the wall tile, one of the sales representatives came over to ask if we needed help. "Nubia Chavarriaga" offered that she had experience in designing bathrooms, including the walls and floors inside the shower area. She showed us some of the new wall tile which we loved. They came the hard part, matching the floor and the cascade section around the plumbing fixtures, as well as the shelf area. We looked at a number of choices and we settled on three different tiles which would compliment each other in our large shower area. We made the purchase the same day and set up the delivery. She even walked us to the register to ensure a smooth transition to our car with the samples we took home with us. Thanks Nubia! read more

They have an amazing array of tiles, and we weren't sure where to start after walking up and down the aisles. Sharon Bunn to the rescue. We sat down with Sharon, one of the design consultants and explained what we were looking for and from that point on it became so much easier. With a cart in toe she explained the various wall tiles, floor tiles and accent tiles. After choosing the wall tiles we continued on to find floor tiles, all the time Sharon explained the differences and options. She went over all our choices for grout and matched everything. I've been looking at the Boynton Beach store for a few months for a big remodel project I'm doing. Everyone has been very helpful and extremely friendly that has helped me and I have spoken to A LOT of employees. I've also been to the Riviera Beach store as well as the Boynton Beach store and had the experience in both stores. The prices here are very good for people on a budget. The financing options are very attractive for materials and installation. I have high standards for customer service. I don't want someone hounding me while I look but I do want someone knowledgeable and efficient when I need help. I'm hoping the positive experience continues through the purchase and installation which will be soon. read more

After reading many of the bad reviews here I was a bit worried about the type of service (or lack thereof) I might find, but everyone seemed to agree Floor and Decor have great prices and unparalleled selection, so I figured I'd go there and just deal with bare bones if any customer service and handle everything myself. Well, I don't know if the management has been reading the bad reviews and changed things up or what, but my experience has been one of the best I could possibly have asked for. To start, I met with one of the in-house designers there, Gina, who not only helped me pick out the tile and laminate flooring that would work well for my rehab project, but helped figure out exactly how many boxes of everything I'd need, printed out sheets with all the info, and walked over to the cashier to help make sure the whole order was inputted correctly. She also got a special order for me to hold my order in the warehouse for 30 days instead of 14. When I needed to go back a couple weeks later to get additional boxes of tile and some bullnose and grout, I went into the store and was asked by three different employees if I needed help and they were indeed very helpful in pointing me to what I was looking for. I also had to do a partial return, and that went as smoothly as I could have hoped. Overall I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by my experience there considering what I was bracing for after reading some of the previous reviews. read more

We recently needed to purchase tile for a bathroom remodel. Rosa helped us find beautiful affordable tile. She was knowledgeable about what tile would work for our project. The boxes in front were of a couple different dye lots and we needed to get to another pallet. Raymond and Ronnell went above and beyond helping us get to the tile we needed and then helped us pack up the car! We always have a great experience and the selection is always great. read more

BEWARE OF THIS STORE! We purchased tile and grout from f&d three weeks ago and arranged for delivery on the morning of Dec 4, explaining my gated community didn't permit 18-wheel trucks. When my contractor called to ask about the tile, I was told by F&D's trucker that their truck was turned away because it was an 18-wheeler, and the delivery would be delayed by at least a day. Meanwhile a crew of workers is there "on the clock" with nothing to do. While F&D has huge selections and good prices, this setback is costing a fortune and I would not recommend this vendor because they are unable to meet their commitments to ccustomers. read more

The store itself has a huge selection, but as I had seen on previous reviews customer service definitely not up to par... employees don't seem to want to work there or help. Cashier was discussing who was gonna close the store as someone didn't show up to work, gave me a wrong and different box of tiles, I had my children alone under the rain , not that matters but no one helped and as I came back to switch the wrong product and was received with an attitude. I had spend over $3000 there in a day, I work with many local contractors, will not recommend this store . Sad to say I had a better experience at a Home Depot than at this store. HORRIBLE... Using Lumber Liquidators from now on. We placed an online order and were not notified that the product item was not in stock in Boynton. When we contacted the Boynton store, they were able to get it sent up from Hialeah. The order was supposed to be in stock on May 30th. When we called to confirm, we were told "the truck broke down". But it would be there Monday. We spoke to a Gus several times. Later that day, we received a call stating that the item that WAS in stock was getting close to 14 days of free hold. I explained we were waiting for the other order and he said it had been canceled. After looking for a few minutes, he found it had not been canceled and confirmed, again, that it was going to be there Monday. Long story short... it arrived a week later. There was no phone call. There were no apologies. The support staff was extremely rude and wouldn't provide any explanation other than "things happen and got backed up". Absolutely horrible experience. If you have any kind of timeline, don't use this company. They are not reliable and they do not communicate what's going on. read more

I want to tell you that Mery with an "e" was not only polite and helpful but she recognized my sample piece, knew she had it in the store and after 15 minutes of seaching, found it, discovered that it was discontinued and gave me a discount even though there was more than enough for my needs. I had the most pleasant experience in Floor & Decor, Boynton Beach last week, and these days, that is something to brag about! The first gentleman I approached upon entering the store (Ken?), was very nice and helpful. He gave me good pointers for my search of wall/floor tiles for my bathroom renovation. Once I had picked 4 potential winners, I came upon Adriano, and clearly, I was in luck. Adriano was incredibly knowledgeable. He was very patient and accommodating with me. He made great suggestions, but only based on my needs and preferences. He took me from aisle to aisle, retrieving sample tiles so that I could see them in different angles and lighting. Throughout my time with him, Adriano, who by then I had figured held a managerial position, was constantly approached by other employees, yet I never felt rushed. Evamarie and Melvin came to ask Adriano something, and somehow, she and Melvin got involved in my project too. Being that she was a woman like me, Evamarie's opinion was quite valuable and turned out to very much aligned with my taste. Evamarie was AMAZING. She and Melvin stood by me for the longest time -and with the greatest disposition- going through box after box of marble pieces to ensure none were flawed or defective. Together, the three of us looked for shelves, soap holders, a threshold, the perfect grout. And all in all, I had a blast! Eva and Melvin stayed with me until the very end, despite the fact that it was closing time already. In conclusion, not only did I find the right tiles for my renovation, I did not experience any stress and anxiety simply because of these three wonderful employees. Ordered three boxes of tile, no one called to tell me it was available for pickup so a month later I came to inquire, no one cared and the pickup process was more aggravating. I was the only customer waiting at receiving and i watched employees on their cell phone play untill I reminded someone that I was still waiting outside for my order. The prices and quality of tile are great. The selection is unmatchable for the most part. However, the rating is for the customer service. It is sub-par at best. I was at the Boynton beach store on November 5th, and picked out the tile I wanted. I went back on November 25th and asked if I needed to order the tile and was told no, that they always have it in stock. I was prepared to pay that day! I went to the store this evening because the tile guy is slated to come this week, and they don't have it in stock. They said they won't have it for two weeks. I originally spoke with Zee, who was very friendly and explained the situation, and then spoke with Maylar, the manager on duty and he explained the situation but did not try to rectify the situation. We asked if we had to pick a different tile if they would price match and he got a little snippy with us and said he couldn't. Now, we are SOL with a concrete floor and no tile to lay for the holidays. Merry Christmas. read more

I recently purchased Travertine tile for a bathroom floor, walls and shower and returned today with a friend to look for the same items in porcelain and to look at laminate flooring. Each time we have been at this store we were delighted to have employees who were most helpful and who steered us in the right direction if our inquiries were not within the scope of their experience. They have an enormous selection available and if you're not certain what you want you can purchase samples and return them after you've made up your mind.
