Gerardo assisted me to ensure that I purchased everything that I needed although my contractor had failed to tell me to get some things Gerardo suggested them and I purchased them. Later when I talked to my contractor and he was telling me additional things to get thanks to Gerardo I had already purchased those items. We started a remodel project with some grout we bought from Lowe's locally. After midway into the remodel, Lowe's stopped carrying the same color and brand. That put us in a bad spot so we went to shop for the product model number online. The only place that still carried was Floor & Decor in LA. We have a store here in FL but they didn't have the product we needed. I got a couple of emails confirming the shipment but never a shipping information. I called and they said they would call me back with the status. I was going to give a lower rating until then if it wasn't for Troy. After explaining my situation and that I had dead line coming up, Troy took the time to find out what happened to my order. After less than half hour we were exchanging texts with pictures of emails and tracking information confirming I was receiving the package on time. Should they change their email notification to include tracking number? Yes. Should they have someone on the phone/ email to inform order status? Yes. But let me tell you, from buying a lot of things online, not all places would have handled the situation as fast as Troy did. I really appreciate a good person on the other side of the phone. Spent a good bit of time with Luke on Thursday. He ran all over the store helping us pick up just the right colors. The following day we returned as we had some additional needs and Mr. Charles was equally helpful. Charles spent time helping us calculate exactly what we needed and made suggestions that we would not have thought of otherwise on our own. Initially, my impression of the staff was a bit negative (as the guy I asked didn't know where anything was), but once a more seasoned member came over things turned out a lot better. They have a pretty wide selection of flooring options (far more than any of the smaller, local stores I went to) and I'd definitely be back for future flooring-related needs. read more

Above and Beyond Service. I am currently completing a home renovation and desired for the master bathroom to be exactly how I envisioned. However, I struggled putting this vision together. I visited Floor and Décor for their great prices and large selection and was pleasantly surprised at the commitment to customer service I received from their associates. Justin was very helpful and knowledgeable offering great insight and allowing me to see my vision on a Floor and Décor computer system. This allowed me to see the vision I was attempting to explain to my contractor more clearly. Additionally, Shanta was very pleasant and patient offering suggestions along the way, and assisting me to clearly understand how products would look in my space. Terrible customer service! I ordered a box of tiles and asked a friend who lives on the West Bank to pick it up for me, no big deal. They wouldn't give it to him and when I called would not work with me at all so I cancelled the order altogether. All they needed to do was call the number on my order to confirm I wanted him to collect my purchase, I had even emailed at the time of online purchase with his name saying he would pick it up. I guess they don't feel any need to care about my measly $60 order. read more

This warehouse is huge and full of tile. I got most of my house renovation's tile here because their price points fit my budget and the selection is a lot greater than Home Depot. Check out the location on Magazine as well because it displays the same tiles in a showroom atmosphere. They have tile for every price point. I spent many hours going back and forth to make things work. If this place didn't exist, I don't know what kind of tile I would have been able to afford. read more

I am writing to compliment a manager at this location, Cornell. He did provide me with a card that I have misplaced in all of the work being done at my home. When I first arrived at the store I was overwhelmed at all of the beautiful selection. Cornell helped me narrow down what fit my needs and budget. He explained the differences in types of flooring. He helped me stay in my budget and I was happy to spend the money and felt really good about doing it. I do outside sales and hold others to a high standard. this saturday may 11 me and my husband went to buy tile and accesories and we spent over $900. then in the warehouse they packed our merchandise and when we took the westbank highway a bag fell and that was floor decor fault. guess what they refuse to give us another bag and there is other bag opened. they lost me forever like a client. i always uste to buy there. i will not recommend nobody trust then they said that when you left the store is not their responsability. they sucks and do not trust then specially thos in the warehouse. i will make sure that family and friends never buy nothing from them my name is vivian sanchez and you lost me like client forever. you can porvoke an accident and you do not care. read more

This place offers a great selection and has so much potential. What they lack in customer service they make up with the stock they offer. However, that's not enough for me to go back. Last time my husband and I were there, I had the ultimate worst experience. I asked for help and immediately I could tell the lady was ignoring me. She also gave me a strong attitude after I chase her down. I disregarded it and proceeded to ask her for help because I was informed she was the only one that could help me In that particular section. While waiting I saw about 6 people that could have helped me but couldn't because "that's her section". So we waited 26 minutes. I got a little impatient because essentially all I wanted to know was if they had enough supplies in stock. If not I would chose something else. I asked a cashier to help us out and she gladly did. But then the lady (not the cashier) just stood there and pretty much didn't care to continue help us. My husband told her sarcastically "thank you for helping us". That's when it got ugly. She told him to leave! From there on it went back and forth. It was so disrespectful and inappropriate. I couldn't even speak! It's not the first time I had bad service there but this was probably my last drop. My husband is there at least once or twice a week to buy supplies for work and it saddens me to see him being treated this way! I never plan on going back to that place. They NEED a lot, a lot, a lot of improvement in their customer service department. read more

2 weeks ago I went into this store with barely a concept of how and what I wanted for a total renovation of a tenant's bathroom. I asked for help with some design issues but unfortunately the staff designer wasn't available. Somehow I got connected with a young man named Deon who admitted that he wasn't a designer but was willing to try to help me. WOW! Best find ever. Within an hour, or so, I was headed out the door with everything I needed. Floor tile - Perfect. Wall tile - perfect. Accent tile - perfect, Special trim (his idea) perfect. He was cheerful, efficient, not in a rush. Everyone in the store was great. The cashier quick, friendly. Other floor staff at the ready with a utility knife to open stock. I am an architect and need to specify flooring for several multi-family and mixed use projects. In the absence of an interior designer on my design team, I set an appointment w/ Caroline Zemp, the design expert in the Gretna store. She was extremely knowledgeable about the different options of bamboo flooring, inkjet porcelain tiles, vinyl plank, and more. The store is overwhelming w/ choices. Caroline was able to zone in on specific choices based on my budgets and preferences. She had an answer for all of my technical, maintenance, and aesthetic questions. I especially valued her knowledge of the current trends in not only materials/colors, but the different tile patterns and grout joint sizes/colors. Caroline was extremely helpful, professional, and did not waste my time. We spent just an hour looking at my floor plans and walking through store, and I now know what floors I am spec'ing in each room of each project. Thanks Caroline. read more

Beware of placing orders online. They will say that it is 7-10 days for an order that is not a special order but it can take weeks as just happened to me. Or it will say that the item is in stock and then you get an email saying that it is not because apparently the store inventory isn't correct. I spent $4000 and it's the worst customer service ever. read more

Floor and decor has a nice variety of products, but when they are out, they're gone for good. There pricing is good but I have found that you can go to any other tile place and find products that are comparable not only in style but also in price. However, if you want the product now and they have it in stock, you may be in luck. I have good and bad experiences with this company but I must say the people who work there are all very nice and accommodating. read more

In the process of repairing & rebuilding after the Baton Rouge Flood in August and now seeking quality & cost effective flooring, my family was pleasantly approached by store associate Crystle, upon entering the "Floor Decor" store in Gretna. Still tired & discombobulated from the flood, Crystle introduced herself to us outside the store entrance. She made us feel so welcomed & so refreshed from her bubbly greeting, and helping hand in the store. Her giant smile made us feel so relaxed that we shopped for hours and extended our purchase not only to flooring, but the store's other decor, such as the beautiful backsplashes, vessel sinks & the lovely granite. I was cognizant of her work ethic, not only with us, but with others in the store, as well. She was friendly, warm and accommodating in dealing with our shopping needs. Another associate, Mr. Charles, was also very helpful and knowledgeable in assisting us with our granite needs. Overall, the associates were all very friendly, helpful and willing to answer our questions. I can say that shopping in your store with such caring and competent staff provided us an enjoyable shopping experience. This is the most horrible flooring place on earth. I bought my whole entire house from this place. I have some extras to return after several months after completed the house. I lost my receipt They said they can't pull up my name my phone number or anything to do a return or store credit without my receipt! I only have one box and half to return not like a whole entire house and it's brand new never been touch. The f-manager no helpful and you know who you are after you read this comment. i went to floor and decor on 12/30/19 and purchased over $5200 of flooring and materials. some of the flooring i purchased was not in stock. my husband i was was told it would be in between 5 to 10 days. so i purchased expecting to have all of my flooring within that time frame. called the gretna store on 1/3/2020 to check status of my order to find out that the 5 to 10 days was only to get to the port and it could be another 2 to 3 weeks before they arrived to the store.!!! this was a complete shock to me. if i was told this up front i would have not purchased this flooring at all. i called customer care on 1/3/2020 to correct the issue they contacted the store and arranged for it to be shipped from another store and it would arrive to the gretna store within one week which would be 1/10/2020. today is 1/11/2020 and the rest of my flooring that is already paid for is not in. i am now being told that my flooring will not be in until monday or tuesday!!!!!!!! this is totally inconvenient for me and my family. we are currently stay at a hotel with 3 kids. this is costing me more money in all aspects. this is stopping me and my family from moving back in our home with our child who is very sickly. this is stopping our job from being completed where we can move back in our home. i would be careful about ordering anything that isn't currently in stock because they are not up front about the actual time it takes to ship your paid products out. never again will i purchase anything from floor and decor. read more

I am writing this review, which is not something I do often. I believe I have a fairly good tolerance level, but same as Kelli B, this company's service level is beyond terrible. If I could give them zero stars I would. Somewhere the management of this company missed the retail 101 class on the fact that the client experience is what keeps companies in business or not. They talk about how great their selection is, which it is good, but if a client cannot get the product, what good does it do? I had the identical situation as Kelli B, spending hours and weeks either of waiting on hold for a representative, or being put on hold for 30+ minutes for the representative to try to get an answer. I would eventually hang up, or worse yet, the representative would have to tell me they could not provide me with an answer. I had my order set to deliver to my home. So, Kelli, it would not have made a difference. The service in the store is equally bad. I am currently sitting on hold with them, waiting for an associate, and it is now 15+ minutes. Last time I was in the store physically, I ran into a person I knew, who was complaining to them about not ever getting his order and not being able to get any answers (sound familiar?). The associates are clearly not empowered, properly trained and most of all, completely disengaged. Suggestion to management: save some money you spend on your inventory, and focus on spending some money on human resources and training. Count me as a person who will not shop here ever again. Their assortment is not that great, that I cannot find something elsewhere, and frankly I am willing to pay more money if I can get decent service. read more
