The representative was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and helped us understand the different options they offer. Plus point is that, they're one of the few tile stores in the Orlando area that's open on weekends. Tile installation is done in 2,7680 sq feet floor. Tiles and grout appeared to be of good quality thus far. Please be aware of delivery charges. They charged by pallets. Very expensive even though it was delivered in one trip. If you make a special order you are not able to return any extra tiles or grout. Special orders can take 3 weeks to a month to be delivered. So plan accordingly with your installer. Sale person service average. read more

Their samples are beautiful and their salesman is very nice. BUT don't trust them to actually do what they say. They didn't order enough flooring for the job and the stair nosing were all wrong. The only way for me to get the job finished was to pay them more money to do what should have been done in the first place!! Hard to get any answers from them. I do have to say that despite the problems, the installation was done very professionally and looks great! Just expect delays and additional cost. I trusted this company, referred by a close friend, but it became a nightmare. Dustin Chandler gave me an estimate and said at most five leveling bags might be needed, and that I'd likely get a refund since most people don't need leveling. Once the floor was torn out, they demanded 35 bags, and my cost jumped by over 50%. At that point, I felt like I was being held hostage. They told me if I didn't pay, they would leave me with an unfinished floor. I was completely stuck. Even if they had asked for 10k more, I would have had to pay. The drilling was extreme. Recessed lights came loose and fell out. Some vents fell out, and others were left hanging, turning the first floor into a mess. I had no warning this kind of damage could happen. When I couldn't get help from the staff, I contacted the owner, Celeste Carr, expecting some resolution. The worst part of this entire experience was speaking to the owner, who told me I was being offered only cents on the dollar as a courtesy, which I declined given what I had already paid. Instead of helping, she justified everything and told me I should have read the fine print. I felt betrayed. My advice: read every line carefully. This company leaves you without options once you're in. I fully expect the owner will respond with a fabricated story, but I stand by my experience. read more

I love the carpet I purchased for my stairs. The quality is great and the installers were wonderful however, the sales portion of this purchase was awful. It took the salesman over 2 weeks to give me a quote even after a call and several emails. Once I made the purchase, again another two weeks for salesman to confirm an installation date again after several email requests. I almost didn't buy due to the lack of enthusiasm from the salesman to make the sale, but I couldn't find any other carpet I liked. Buyer Beware! We spent $24,829 at Flooring America in one day -- on home flooring and kitchen cabinets. First, we were sold a flooring that didn't fit our needs/lifestyle. After less than a year, the problems started to show: gaps in the boards, bent corners, raised ends, unlevel surfaces and creaking throughout the house. Both the Flooring America inspector and the private, certified flooring inspector we paid for ($350) concluded that their installers did a very poor job. We have a 32-page report from our independent inspector which includes 28 pages of photos. After multiple attempts to solve the problem, the only solution they offered was to rip up all the flooring (1700 sq. ft), replace the damaged boards (500 sq. ft) and then reinstall the rest (1200 sq. ft). Not sure how they quickly came up with that ratio nor how reusing the present flooring will "FIX" the issue?!? In addition, there are cosmetic issues inside our kitchen cabinets -- multiple holes in the back and protruding dry wall screws. We were told this is standard procedure. Communication with the owners is horrible. We first filed our flooring complaint in January. We spoke to several people, but were told that the VP of Operations, was the only person who we could speak to about the issues. We left messages on her voicemail which went unanswered. We have never spoken. She only responds at best via email (that is, when she's not on a Disney cruise with her family). The owner's response to our mentioning their "F" rating on the BBB site was: "Nobody looks at the Better Business Bureau anymore"! In our last phone conversation with the same owner, he cancelled a meeting we had scheduled, said we were "their most difficult customers ever", and hung up on us. Flooring America takes your money and clearly works hard to protect their "bottom line". They have shown no sign of caring about our investment in them. They have not apologized for the huge inconven-ience. They have not acknowledged or addressed the concerns and questions in our letters. So much for customer service! We trusted them to be knowledgeable professionals - both about products and installation. They have misinformed us about several things, even where our flooring was made. Their slogan is "Where Friends Send Friends". We actually did refer relatives who purchased their whole house floor; we are sorry we did. At this point, we simply want the flooring portion of our money back so we can hire a professional, trained installer who will re-do the entire job (and for less!). We are happy for the reviewers who wrote about wonderful experiences with Flooring America, but if you end up wronged and in our miserable position... good luck! read more

I needed to get some new carpeting for my condo and JR Shiver was great to work with. He came out and measured, showed us samples and got it scheduled with no pain! He gave us plenty of options and worked with us to fit our budget. Once the work was scheduled, they were on-time and cleaned up afterward.
