We recently purchased a 15 year old house. While cleaning and prepping to move in, we noticed a…read morelot of dust in the air vents and determined they needed to be cleaned. After finding great yelp reviews for Fresh Air Systems, we decided to give them a call. We've never had air ducts cleaned before, and Josh did a great job of explaining the process. We were able to get an appointment quickly. Lucas showed up on time and did a fantastic job. He was professional and thorough. The last people who owned the home had an addiction to the plug-in air fresheners, and the house had an overwhelming smell of air freshener. Cleaning the ducts greatly reduced the smell in the home. Lucas also cleaned the dryer vent, which was completely clogged and could have been a fire hazard had we not had it cleaned. It was simultaneously fun and gross to see everything that came out of the duct work and dryer vent. If you are purchasing or have recently purchased an existing home, I highly recommend getting your duct work and dryer vent cleaned. It's a great peace of mind to have fresh ducts and a clear dryer vent. I highly recommend Fresh Air Systems!

This wasn't the MOST expensive, nor the LEAST expensive -- and not cheap, but well worth the price! [And there was no "bait and switch" today at the time of the service!] Lucas and Jeff came this morning and did a GREAT job! They cleaned the air duct system (the supply and return air vents), and the dryer vent (from the roof). Everything was done very professionally -- and the clean up was SUPURB! I highly recommend Fresh Air Systems!

They are not located in Tucson area. They come out from Phoenix. I called almost 3 months ago…read more(Feb.) , i need all my air vents cleaned. They said that they would be out in Tucson area maybe March 28 or 29th. But they made my appointment for May 3rd 9 am-1 pm. I received my confirmation via email that same day. As it was close to May I emailed them to confirm they are coming on the 3rd. I received a response that said yes and they would confirm the time and let me know. Three days later I get a text message that says they can not come on May 3rd. They have to reschedule me for May 30th !!! Needless to say I am mad, waiting almost 3 months and now they cancel. I told them to forget it! Today 3 days before the original date of the 3rd I get a phone call, asking if I want the 30th date. I already told them NO. Unreliable outfit. They have no business advertising their services from Phoenix to Tucson if they know they can not service it. Their excuse was that they don't have a service team now in Tucson. There vent cleaning fee is $149 so the lady said on the phone, However, she didn't put that in writing. Bad management !!!!

Long and detailed, so TL;DR - Use these guys!…read more Our Carrier 4-ton A/C went out one evening recently here in southern Arizona. Not a good thing when temps on the horizon are projected to be at 100 degrees or more. I did some self-diagnosis and changed the fuses in the outdoor disconnect box, replaced the capacitor with an Amrad (US-made, high quality), and installed a new contactor - all the common failure items. No luck. I'm wise enough to know that going up in the attic was a no-go at my age, so decided it would need the services of a pro, and did I ever get one! I had previously read a glowing report on social media about an HVAC company here in the area, so after reading their Yelp reviews, I gave them a call. Kyle from Samson & Sons Heating & Cooling came out the following morning, and before beginning, we discussed (and he really listened to) the steps I had previously taken, which helped him to decide where to start, and that was the air handler in the attic. In less than five minutes he had discovered the burnt remains of electric power wires at a burnt wire nut. Thank goodness it was all contained inside a small metal connection box, where charcoal SHOULDN'T be!. Since Kyle has previously worked as a journeyman electrician, he knows how to properly make connections using wire nuts (think twist wires together first), so that problem is highly unlikely to reoccur. This HVAC failure is complements of the original DH Horton HVAC sub-contractor, which I won't mention in text. Kyle told me he knew who the installing contractor was before I told him, as he had already noticed the ALUMINUM refrigerant lines crossing the attic. I believe they're supposed to be copper, but you KNOW which is cheaper! Kyle pointed out the electrical tape wrapped around the ferruled tubing connector, supposedly to keep air from oxidizing the aluminum tubing, which (after a long time) eventually creates a refrigerant leak (think dis-similar metals). In time, everyone in our development will likely have a problem with this. And so, we again have cool air inside, accomplished at a reasonable cost. These guys KNOW THEIR STUFF, and the science behind providing a quality job! Please, Mark, remain an independent, and don't sell out to "private equity" in my lifetime! You guys are a true Tucson Treasure!
