My wife and I just completed a tremendous experience from beginning to end with Floors Like Glass. We were interested in Luxury Waterproof Vinyl Flooring in a tile pattern (versus planking) and Dawn provided us with samples in the style and color we were were looking for. We chose a product from Chesapeake Flooring. Dawn was extremely patient and helpful throughout the entire process; communicating updates on the materials order, and the installation schedule. The materials were delivered to us on the exact date Dawn had provided and the installation began on the exact date Dawn had provided. Our installer, Barry, and his helper, Linda, worked non-stop for two days to complete our installation. They were professional, respectful, and went above and beyond to complete a high quality installation of almost 700 square feet (kitchen, front door entry area, large downstairs TV room, downstairs bedroom, downstairs hallway to garage, plus transition pieces, shoe molding under our existing baseboard trim, and bullnose for stairs) in two days. Needless to say, we are very happy with the process and the result. We highly recommend Floors Like Glass for flooring. You will never receive the same level of customer service excellence from a big box store or one of those "bait and switch" companies that advertise on television. Floors Like Glass did a number on both the floors and the walls. I spent a month repairing and replacing the drywall in our living room, dining room, and foyer before having them come in to refinish our hardwood floors. I finished painting and priming less than a week before they started sanding. What a waste of my time. They left serious dents and scratches in every single wall- and not just behind where the baseboards go, either. There were black scratches/scuff marks several inches up running for feet along walls, places where the paint had been entirely scratched off, a variety of dents and scratches about 4 feet from the floor from the handle of the sanding machine and stain and polyurethane splattered 6 inches up the walls. When I called the office to complain, I was told that they "can't be held responsible for any damage that might occur". Furthermore, they did a poor job on the floors themselves. While they did a great job sanding out the water marks, etc, the staining was substandard, to say the least. There are obvious marks on both sides of the rooms and along the doorways where the stain pad was put down or picked up with each stroke. Its a line that's light on one side and dark on the other about 6-8 inches out from the wall and extending along the entire wall. When I pointed it out to Michael (the son/worker) he at first denied that anything was wrong claiming that it was a "result of urine stains on the floor" but when I showed him the extent ( a urine stain isn't going to form a uniform line along all the walls) he admitted that yes, they had done a bad job staining but "what do you expect me to do about it?" So here we are job finished, I had to spackle and repaint all the walls to fix the damage they did and we're stuck living with these stain-smudged floors until they fade out or its time to have the floors refinished again. To be fair, after I argued on the phone, we got a $75 credit on our bill because of the damage but that barely covers the cost of the paint I had to buy, does nothing for the wasted time of having to paint all of the walls again, or compensate for the poor customer service and substandard quality of work. We would have been better off renting a machine and doing the floors ourselves. read more

I had a very small window to get my floors done, at first Floors Like Glass was not available for several weeks, but a cancellation from another customer made them available to redo my 80 year old oak floors on a victorian I had recently purchased. The team was professional and friendly, they delivered on time, and the price was very reasonable. Floors Like Glass recently installed Tigerwood floors and sanded/refinished floors throughout my house. Their work was excellent in every way. I wanted to do my floors in eco-friendly ways and Dawn was patient and thorough in researching "green" products for me. The Tigerwood is gorgeous and FSC certified; and they used RubioMonoCoat finish on my sanded floors. I highly recommend the Rubio as it is a natural product and a one day application: safe for you and pets. Rubio enhances the original grain and color of the wood without that artificial poly-gloss. Michael and his co worker sanded my floors (I just bought this house and the floors were very encrusted with dirt) thoroughly. I have nothing to say except praise for this company and their installers (Barry and his assistant) and sanders. Everyone is professional, skilled, polite. read more
