We were driving from Pittsburgh to Orlando when I suddenly had the urge for some good Southern, home style eats. Yelp directed us to the Flopeye Diner. WOW! This is why I love Yelp.... Everything we had was mouthwateringly delicious. My husband ordered a Country-fried steak and said it was the best one he'd had since living in Houston thirty years ago. I ordered fried okra, greens, and fried chicken. Sooooo good. We also got an order of chicken livers, which was more like a meal than an appetizer. We ate waaay too much and had leftovers, which we ate in the hotel last night. The Flopeye Diner was so good that we are going to drive the 17 hours to Florida again --instead of flying-- just so we can eat there again. No lie. read more

All grease, no taste. I took two bites and couldn't stomach eating anymore. Niagara Falls had nothing on the amount of grease pouring out of this Western Omelet. I told the cashier the omelet wasn't edible- so he did remove the single side order pancake from our ticket. I don't know how a single pancake equals one omelet, but, lesson learned. Won't be back. They serve liver mush and fried bologna as well. Whoo Hoo! Country food! I had the eggs,homemade sausage, hash browns and biscuits. My wife had the ham and cheese omelet with grits. Amazing food. The Flopeye diner is worth detoring off the highway for a true piece of Americana. It is not for snobs, use bathrooms elsewhere. We had lunch, but they also serve breakfast and dinner. You will get a really good burger, hot dogs, chicken fingers , fries and cole slaw. They have resonably priced daily specials also. The charm is the people and the decor. Outside large utensils are hung, brightly colored umbrellas and lanterns over tables. Inside old laminate booths, table clothed tables (with plastic over to protect the cloth). Side dining room has deer and assorted hunting and fishing catches mounted. Front room has King Tut head presiding over everyone (you can see photos of thier trip to the pyramids at front counter). If you are a Yankee and want some quaint rural southern charm, try it. read more

I will admit, I have not tried every restaurant in Great Falls, but I work in between here and the Richburg exit. Each morning I drive by there are always really busy for breakfast which I have not tried yet. You know a place has got to be pretty good when there are several patrol cars from different jurisdictions often parked to eat out front. I have only had lung here and most often order from the specials, two meats and around 5 or 6 sides to choose from. It is always great. Beware, there is a small smoking section and the occasional smoker. Remember though, you are way in the deep south here, so people can still smoke indoors but it hardly ever bothers me. read more

Which i need to add their smoking section is also their "party" room. there are no doors in between the smoking section and rest of the restaurant. so everything smells like smoke. and you smell like smoke when you leave. if you order just a simple burger and fries be prepared to eat a wet soggy bun on your burger. If i could rate this place less than a 1 star i would. save your money. read more
