Since moving to the area, this has become one of our favorite places to eat. We go every Sunday morning for breakfast. The omelets are truly magnificent, the eggs cooked in thin layers over the fillings, not just a clump folded in half over toppings. We've eaten other meals as well, and if you want some country cooking, this is the place. The staff is incredible - friendly, efficient, and helpful. Coffee cups and water glasses are replenished as needed, orders are accurate, and the prices are definitely fair. It does get pretty busy, but if there is a short wait for a table, it's worth it. read more

It is raving of southern hospitality and a home away from home So they ARE open on Sundays and they have a delicious buffet! We didn't partake of the buffet but the items we did order were so delicious. Grilled chicken salad, I rated this 5 stars because of the service and home cooking quality. The service here is 100%, hands down!! It is advertised as country cooking and it definitely delivers! The manager stopped by our table and gave our kiddos a matchbox car... definitely a homey touch! We were so grateful to eat at this yummy place. A word of note, the bathrooms are definitely grungy as far as construction so don't expect the ritz. They were clean enough but rivaled gas station bathrooms. This is an area where they could improve. I did not dock the rating due to this because in these times, finding reliable help is extremely challenging! Nice Country cooking with some unique dishes. We tried the country fried steak sandwich. It was tasty with the gravy dip for the sandwich. Also we had the buffalo shrimp appetizer. These were good and crispy with a good buffalo flavor. Lots of sides to choose from. The hash browns were done well. They had a good omelet selection, but we did not get these this visit. Working a job in a nearby industrial park, meant finding food locally. This particular area does have too many options that aren't some sort of fast food. Fortunately there's the Country Omelet. My co-workers had worked this area before and suggested we stop in for real food. It certainly was a pleasant choice. Everything felt homemade and tasted pretty good. Prices were really reasonable and the staff was polite. I got a pretty simple sandwich called the Country Club Hoagie. I got what I ordered. Simple and fresh. There's where I'm gonna leave it. There just wasn't anything that stood out. No flavorable experience. Just a sandwich with just some fries. As basic as everything was, it was still a good option over the fast food choices nearby. If I'm back in the area, I'll stop for some food. Probably only when I'm tired of the fast food though. read more

The amount of food that you get is amazing! I saw a truck driver unable to finish his breakfast!! Wait staff is super friendly too. Cute country decor and wide variety on the menu. I plan my Charlotte Airport trips so I can stop by this wonderful breakfast place and have an enjoyable and filling breakfast before my flight. Amazing Hate didn't remember the waitresses name but phenomenal! Always kept drinks & coffee filled. Checked on us constantly. Food was fast and perfect. So much food . Love this place! Everyone was super friendly and I got tons of coffee refills. I must admit that diners are my happy place. I love considering myself a foodie but the no frills, straight-up diner vibe and basic good eats always makes me feel good- and this place is what I needed. I went for breakfast and tried lots of things- you can since diners are known to be inexpensive. I had the pancakes which tasted great and had a crispy texture, as well as other breakfast staples. I suggest the livermush, especially with Texas Pete. I went later in the morning for breakfast and everything was quick but no one was in a hurry, if that makes sense to you, and is your kind of vibe, head over and get your fix. So based on previously posted pics and reviews, I ordered Shrimp n Grits with double shrimp. The blackened shrimp was seasoned properly, but the other shrimp was previously frozen bland with zero seasoning. Grits were cooked properly but lacked any depth. (Yes I know it's Grits, I cook these as well) The onions and bell pepper were near raw, they really needed some time on the grill with some browning sauce or just butter n Worcestershire....The sausage lacked any browning as well. My opinion, if ya gonna blatantly advertise your S&G in BOLD, the flavors need to be JUST AS BOLD. read more

Stopped for breakfast with friends. Friendly waitress, reasonable prices with nice breakfast menu. My coffee came in a cup with chipped rim. My friends hot tea wasn't hot so she asked for more hot tea. Two of us thought the coffee tasted very weak. We ordered 3 cheese omelets and and one order of eggs with bacon. 2 orders came out first and the other two orders came out 5 minutes later. Toast with all our orders came out another 5 minutes later. Food was good and tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. The rye toast was very good. The waitress came to rewarm our coffee a few times. The place was generally comfortable. However the ladies rest room awful. The inside of the door quite dirty and needed painting. One of the 2 toilets was out of order. No doors on the stalls just curtains on a rod. The automatic paper towel dispenser didn't work. So in my humble opinion attention is needed to detail. read more

Went on our way home from Charlotte and really wish we didn't. They bragged about making their chilli and if that was the case they should just open a can of any brand at the store and it would be better. My wife got a burger and it was so bad we just left it there. Next time we are hungry on the way home will just get some jerky from the gas station. read more
